martin kuis Volgens mij ben jij Nederlands of niet? :) Anyway if you're not, I really don't know how to do it. Back in the old days, you first had to do a roll, and each time you hit the surface of the water you press jump. However, in this version it doesn't seem to work. I tried various button presses. Spamming the Y button resulted in one waterskip... but can't get any more
I searched for it, the answer is: it is only possible whilst having a buddy on your back. Keep spamming the roll button and you will bounce on the water surface. Hopes this helps.

This was great. I've watch this video a few times and I still don't believe it (but it's true that I never played with this game, I was just watching it (I've also didn't play with Returns, just watching it).
This game is amazing (of course the Returns is also cool...). There's just 1 ability that is in Returns but it isn't in Tropical freeze, the blowing. And I only miss the blue Donkey Kong (I don't know what is the name of it...) what was making the level by self... and we have to complete it are self... But it is good that we can swim in here... And there are new partners to. If I have to say who is my favourite partner, it is Dixie (and my least favourite is Cranky) :D

It's a way thin platform which you can roll out. You can do this in some similar platforms in DKC Returns

I've played this level and I think on that platform, there's an extremely tiny sliver of standable ground. The same thing happened to me and i was so confused

I got shiny gold with a heart on 1-K in 1:19.99. I'm not even kidding, any longer and I would've gotten regular gold.

@@richardbayen3665 yes. It's never said in-game, but if you complete a time attack with a fast-enough time, you're given shiny gold instead of regular gold.

this game is really hard and confusing. I'm not complaining about this game. I'm saying that I can't find all puzzle pieces. I only found K-O-N-G letters... some of it. So this is really hard. And this is intense. I have this game and I completed the game without puzzle pieces and KONG letters (some of it). And I didn't unlock World 7 because this game is hard. Trust me.
I'd say for a casual playtrough DKC 1 is the hardest because of the many deaths you can't see coming ( this game is pretty unfair )
But for total completion ( including time attacks ) Returns is the hardest...

@@Maxi-Gonz. Actually I just discovered there are no checkpoints in time attack. if you die you go back to the beginning, but the timer resets, which is a BIG plus compared to dk country returns.

Hitting that final boss nine times in a row with this kind of precision is downright impossible. The first three times are doable. Fourth and fifth are hit and miss. The last four hits are luck of the draw. That hitbox is as finicky as Thugly's on Returns.
