The amount of happiness I feel when you post a video and I have something new from you to watch. I’m insanely happy you’re reading ToG cause it’s my favorite series. I’m very happy you read AB first. Makes it so much better
i’m reading the TOG series now too! i started it before you but you starting it convinced me to keep going and it’s SO GOOD. currently reading Queen of Shadows!
Ahh I'm so sad people aren't loving A Curse for True Love because I'm lovinggg it! It feels so romantic and I love their chemistry. I also don't really care about the plot holes because those characters didn't really matter to me haha
I sorta feel the same way! I don't like it when the everything has to be tied up in a neat little bow at the end of a series. I enjoy some mystery as to how the non-plot essential threads go. It makes the world feel alive.
Super random but I see your ACOTAR books in the back and ACOFAS comes after ACOWAR as it is set immediately after the war and between ACOSF. The coloring in that order also look so nice ❤️💚💖💙🧡
I've read tog now so many times its my all time fave series and aelin is my queen. The first time i read the series i was like you i fell in love by the 4th book but now its like nostalgic for me and every single book is amazing and crucial. Sjm is everyone i love all her books so much!!! ❤
my excitement that you're finally reading tog!!!! such an amazing series and i'm so so glad you're enjoying it, been following your reviews on goodreads😉
I am in the middle of 5 different series and now I want to read the Throne of Glass series. 😂 most of my recommendations come from you and you never disappoint though so I’m sure I’ll read that series too at some point.
My friend recommended to read AB first and I'm sooo glad she did! I think there's so much background information there to understand things that follow in the other books 🙏🏻❤️
omgosh first YOUR HAIR! gorgeous second, i couldnt get past Throne of Glass but now i want to try to continue and push through love a magical realism month
Me too! I'm on Heir of Fire right now and I totally get what Sara is saying. I'm about 75% through and I'm not loving it, but I know that Queen of Shadows is going to be amazing!!! I am choosing to read The Assassin's Blade after Heir of Fire, which I don't see a problem with. I felt perfectly connected to Celanea right away and there are certain scenes that occur (particularly in Crown of Midnight) that I am really excited to find out where it came from. We shall see how I feel about Assassin's Blade. I have a feeling I am going to want to reread the first three books after finishing it...
@@meredithclark6580 i absolutely agree!! Heir of fire took me longer than I thought but I’m currently on Queen of Shadows and so far (30%) it’s pretty good! I read AB after crown of midnight and actually liked it that way because I knew some of her background from the first 2 books but def connected with her from the beginning.
I feel like reading books in publication order is always the best option always, because the author planned it to be read that way for a reason ❤ Of course, it's totally fine to read it in any order, but I think that by reading it in publication order you, as a reader, are getting the experience the author wanted for you.
I was definitely disappointed from a curse for true love. I agree with the points you brought up. While I was reading it I thought it was entertaining and fast paste but after finishing the book I noticed how many unanswered questions there were. There were especially two things that in my eyes needed more explanation. Its not a bad book I gave it 3 stars but after the second book that I loved so much its sad to see how it ended.
I love your monthly wrap ups ❤️ on a side note that hair color looks so good on you. November is going to be a mood reading month. Currently reading Twisted by Emily McIntire.
Queen of shadows was the most amazing book in the series! Of course Kingdom of Ash but I just loved Queen of Shadows so much!! I cant wait to read Love Redesigned! Going to pick it up today.
Nice book choices, Sara! October was a good reading month for me because it is the month you really start getting into fall season and I read a few good books. I started the Once Upon A Broken Heart series (currently reading A Curse For True Love) Cackle by Rachel Harrison, and A Good Girl's Guide To Murder by Holly Jackson (Also reading the 2nd book in that series).
I will say, I didn't listen and read Assassin's Blade before Heir of Fire (which is also not how you're supposed to do it but I miscounted) and I truly believe I should've read Assassin's Blade first. Her decisions make sooooo much more sense after Assassin's Blade, especially in the romance area.
i agree about reading assassins blade first!! i read it after heir of fire and i had a really hard time connecting with celeana for the first 3 books and i wish i could’ve connected the stories in ToG, CoM, and HoF with the stories in assassins blade, rather than the other way around :/
Definitely read assassins blade 1st, I was actually pretty annoyed w. everyone who recommended otherwise, when I read it after heir of fire. It gives so much background information of some things I was confused about, or wondering why she mentioned but didn’t explain & was waiting for a flashback or something when it was in assassins blade the whole time 😂
I’m reading TOG for the first time right now too- and I stand by reading Assassin’s Blade first too! I tried to read Throne of Glass first a year ago but I couldn’t vibe with Celaena so I put it down… then I read ACOTAR and CC and found my way back starting with Assassin’s Blade and instantly fell in love! 🤗
I read the whole throne of glass series in 2022 and i started with throne of glass. After finishing the series i realized that there was another book Assassin's Blade. I started reading it but never finished it because it didn't make any sense because i already finished the series. I regret not reading it first because i did miss alot of info ngl! The back story would've made the series so much better for me. I still loved it btw!!! my all time fav series and still think about it.

Hey, if you need any video ideas, a good video idea is to read books that are middle grade. Ideas like this could be keeper of the lost cities, A school for good evil, land of stories, hunger games, Harry Potter, and etc. I hope this helps if you need any video ideas it was just a thought 😁
Sara, Ashley Poston has a fantasy/sci-fi duology!! I’ve only read the first but it’s called Heart of Iron and it’s like a mashup of Disney’s Treasure Planet and Anastasia!! It’s so so so good please read it
Sara, those are a lot of books to read in one month! I did not finish your video, however, I do intend to finish it! Also, I’m in the midst of reading one of your favorite series, “Throne of Glass” by Sarah J. Maas! So far, the series is brilliant! Is “Throne of Glass” the first book in the series? I ask because I wasn’t sure if there was a prequel to “Throne of Glass” or not. Thanks!
I’m reading the third book Powerless in series only read first book on netgalley when I had the chance missed second book and library doesn’t have it saw powerless and the one after it on netgalley got approved to read powerless have to have read by 7th. Still haven’t heard if I get approved for next one but my guess I will when it’s closer to time they have it live.
I’m so happy you are loving throne of glass💕Have you heard of the bridge kingdom by danielle Jensen? I started it awhile ago and last night randomly wanted to finish the second book and did it in one sitting! It’s fantasy with some romance with a very strong fmc. The third book follows a different couple and there is a fourth book coming out soon that follows them as well!
The new Lauren Asher book I wasn’t excited about it but after your review, I’m having second thought maybe I will check it out because I haven’t had the best luck with her other series , I’m currently reading “eleanor Oliphant is completely fine” and “ Dracula” , and with each video your hair looks better and better P.s good job I noticed that you spoked slower in this video 😁💕

im a newbie to fantasy and havent actually gotten into SJM books yet, and I need your opinion sara, with almost finishing TOG what should I start with: ACOTAR or TOG?? 💗💗
Isn’t reading a prequel a bit of a disadvantage to the actual first book? Probably best to read em in the order they were written but that’s just my opinion
A Curse for true love spoiler We were robbed of a knock out drag out wild night. You can't tell me that Jacks didn't want to finally have her how he wanted her. Same for her! Yeah, we got some closure but that book dragged. I binge read it and got it done quickly BECAUSE I skipped. I even went back to the pages I skipped to see if there was something there, nope. Nothing.
