I use the exact same rifle here in NZ with the 16.5" barrel. Suppressed and reloading my own subsonics have accounted for over 50 red deer this last 6 months

Do you break it down for walking? I’m a left handed bow hunter who does reasonable kms walking in avg to really scrubby bush. The takedown seem like a great option.

@@walkb4uhuntnz760 yes it can be broken down easily and takes 40 seconds to re assemble including the suppressor fitting

Can you please do a review on the Meopta scope that's on the Bergara?

I would love to see a test of the 16,5" version... because all I know these shoot like sh*t... that precision of your rifle is insane!

I have this exact same gun and calibre and shot roedeer, wild boar, foxes, nutria and loads of other animals with it. It is an absolute tack driver with Sellier and Bellot 150 grains SPCE bullets and can compete in accuracy with the very best German Kipplauf-rifles according to me. My longest succefull shot with this rifle was at a mouflon in the French Pyrenees at a lasered 260 meter distance, it ran 40 meters with a double lung shot before piling up.
These handy little rifles are very capable if you do your part, they are excellent value for money and are great to travel with because you can take them so easily apart. They are my all time favourite rifle for stalking, game calling and hunting from a high seat.

Still got some precision problems wit my bergara ba 13 td .308 18". Had to remove some material inside the forend so the barrel can swing free. But im still not quite happy with the precision. Replaced the aluminum picatinny rail into a steal picatinny rail. Trying to find the perfect amunition now.

      18“ ?
      There are 16,5 and 20“ …Never heard of 18“
The short 16,5“ with the 1:8 twist is made für heavy (subsonic) bullets.
Normal 308 bullets up to 180gr are hard to get to precission with that combination.
