I put some coneflowers and catmint together in a section of my bed last year and it is one of my favorite parts of my garden now - so easy and so hardy but so fun looking at the same time.

Great idea. This is the first year I used perennials in some of my large containers, loved them and looking forward to moving them to the garden now. Worked especially well for my shade containers, hostas and coral bells did the trick.

After the summer, will they come back in spring if I leave them in the container for winter? Zone 6a. My creeping Jenny did but I am not sure about the plants in the video.

I am in 6b and my Shasta daisies and asters in containers come back every year. As Corey mentioned it is good to put them up against the foundation of the house.

@@kr13100 the pots can always be heeled in with mulched leaves until spring when growth emerges. Good Luck!

Persian shield is so easy and they are just beautiful and I agree with TJ McDowell, zero care but can crisp up a bit in full sun. Love your videos

Do you have a video showing how densely to plant perennials from seed? I recently bought some perennials at a greenhouse and I can't tell if they planted them densely or if they are second-year or beyond.

I don't really work with seed perennials. If you know the name of the variety, that info should be available online... if not, you could hunt for a similar variety.
