South east trade winds are deflected by the action of Coriolanus force as well . Because SE trade winds cross the equator thus the coriolis force according to Ferrell sea law will deflect the SE trade towards its right thus changing their direction fro south east to south west .which is nothing but the south west monsoon.

    • @MeethiKalam

They flow above the mean surface level. That means they flow in the upper circulation of atmosphere (near cloud region) and as you know Himalayas are very tall in height. Some peak even reach above the clouds so therefore the winds flowing there get bifurcated upon coming across the Himalayas

@@PrernaAgrawal_742 yes rainfall is caused due to moisture in the air which we also call water cycle, but there are also certain moisture carrying winds that flow in India, like the south west monsoon winds and when they are received in kerala and karnataka, they collide with the western ghats and cause rainfall, where these winds are also called mango showers and cherry blossoms. In similar way when the north east winds collide with lower Himalayas, the cause rainfall in the uttar pradesh and its near regions.

Main motive of the southwest monsoonal winds is to bring moisture to the subcontinent, where convectional currents send them upward, there they condense into clouds and precipitate.
So whole water cycle process is involved in it....
