I couldn't find someone to work on my Samsung in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks to your video and 2 day shipping, I've got my washer working again and it only cost me 27 bucks. Thank you!

This was very helpful! Additionally, because I didn’t want to replace the pump and motor, I took them apart. Both were clogged with lent and gunk. Cleaned them out along with the small fill hose and drain hose. Works like new.
@@DIYRepairsNow Thank you for the video, I replaced the pump 5 months ago and now the same problem of no drain is back. I put a second new pump and still not working. Do you think this is a problem with the control computer? The wires look good.
My washer was a slightly different model, WF520ABP/XAA and when I went to take off the front panel like in the video, the bottom would not release. We ended up tilting the bottom up to take a look, and the bottom of the panel had 3 screws there. After removing those, I could remove the panel fully. If your panel doesn't remove easily like in the video, then check for those.
If the filter and drain pump check out, look at the drain hose from the drum to the pump. Is it clogged with accumulated gunk? If the drain lines are clear, it is probably the controller board. These washers are known to blow the relay (a $0.25 part) that controls the drain pump. The controller assemblies are not readily available, if at all (EOL'ed by Samsung after 5 or so years). Used ones can be found on Ebay--caveat emptor. The controller board from a model one up or one down on the Samsung product offerings for a given model run will often work--the wash cycles will be different on the dial or not available. For example--if the controller comes from a lesser model, it may not offer the sanitize (heat) cycle, but all the other features are the same. The various large online parts vendors have good information about OE part numbers and subsequent replacement part numbers.
Excellent video! Thanks for the how-to! I changed the drain pump. Put it back together and it ran for about 30 minutes and the error code not draining came back on again. Could it be the recirculating pump?

Good evening. Thanks for the video. I have a Samsung: WF448AAP/XAA I was getting the drain pump failure. I ordered the new pump and installed it. I started a cycle and it stayed stuck on the last rinse/spin cycle. I powered the machine off and put it on a spin cycle and it completely drained the machine. Machine is also not dispensing the downy. Pump seems to be working. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!
Thank you for the video. I was able to change the pump and get it back running in a few hours - I kept going and back and looking at the video. I first replace the pump in February 2021. It worked great. Now the same error came up and it sounded like the pump was not spinning or it would stop too early. I ordered another pump on Amazon and installed and washer is again working - no errs
When I look at the first replacement pump I took out there appears to be water inside the pump motor area. Pump was used for about 7 months. Is shaft seal on the little impeller supposed to seal water from entering the motor portion? I assume that if the motor is supposed to stay dry and it is wet that would lead to problems.
This was the first video that actually showed how to put that wire back on I appreciate that but I think my washer still screwed. I checked continuity in the pump and it was fine so now I really have no clue why it will not drain
The drain pump have two fixtures electronically and mechanically when you check continuity you checking the electrical Winings for the motor the mechanical will be the blade in the rest of the housing 90% of the time the motor is going to test good but the blade or the blade rotor is bad if you try to spend the blade and you don’t feel tension your drain pump is bad also check the check valve which is the flapper rubber piece
@@DIYRepairsNow I did check that valve the first time around and it seemed good as far as the rest of it I will check into that in the morning when I get up thank you so much for your help
@@DIYRepairsNow hii! Can you suggest something for me? I have a problem with my pump, I tested the pump with multimeter and it doesn't have any voltage. The board is good visually. The wirings are also good as well. Any suggestion what to check in pcb?
Do you have a moment to maybe help me? Our washing machine has decided not to drain it's water anymore. Unless when you put on 'flush and centrifuge' then it drains, and during the program fills it with water again just to leave it at the end of the program again. So I know it's able to drain and push the water out. It just won't. And doesn't give me an error or anything either. 😂 Would you have any idea ?? It's a Samsung Eco bubble ofc (I'm Dutch so maybe the term isn't right 😂)
So my washer looks like its missing that little black hose that sticks out of the front by the filter. It's a Wf218anb/xaa Samsung. Should it have that little hose? And if so can I buy just that and put it on or do I need to replace that whole thing? Also would that piece being gone make it not drain?
It should drain w/o the hose. It's just there to be able to direct the water into a container. Any piece of tubing with the right diameter should be ok.
Great video! Replaced my motor yesterday with no issues because of your video. Still having the same issue though, No Drain. New pump works, it was moving water the first time I ran it. Now just give me the same error. I've checked all lines for obstructions/gunk and found nothing. Check valve looked good. Back to the drawing board! Anyone have advice?!
@@daryltaco Wondering the same thing! I replaced the pump and cleaned all lines. It worked following replacing the pump. But then the same error started again. I'm hearing a clicking sound when it's expected to drain and then nothing.
Some little thing that meant nothing to most people at the end of your video where you said keep the drain hose only a few inches from the top fixed my problem now for some reason it does drain but it will not fill up with water.. it switched on me😖😖😖😖
If it’s not filling in water you’ll probably need a water valve you have to make sure you’re getting enough water pressure from the water valve also check the filters on the water valve itself and make sure they are clean if you have a multimeter tester check if you get an 120 V at the water valve when it supposed to be filling in
I’ve got an issue with my Samsung washer where it only drains sometimes. I’ve gotten the ND (no drain) error code before, but it doesn’t always come up. Sometimes it just sits where ever it is in the cycle and just keeps trying. I’ve unplugged it and waited awhile and then it works again for awhile… have you ever come across that issue?
Thanks for the instructions. But the washer will not work correctly without that check valve. The check valve is not there to prevent water from the drain pipe coming back in. During some cycles the washer has a very small amount of water it wants to remove. This small amount it not enough to make it up the drain hose so it will keep running back down to the pump if you don't have the check valve. You will eventually get a drain error.
That sounds right to me. My pump tests fine, no blockages or gunk anywhere, so i think it's that little black check valve/flapper. This is a very frustrating problem that is difficult to diagnose because everything looks fine.
I’m having an issue that maybe you could help with. My Samsung washer wf42h5200ap/a2z It isn’t draining and the pump was replaced. I have constant 120 volt (even off) on the blue wire to case ground. It looks like the purple completes the neutral on the control board. I’m thinking. It’s a relay in the board. Is there anything else that could prevent the board to call to drain (even in test mode)? It’s a pretty expensive part. Especially if it does not solve the problem. Great video! Thank you in advance!
The only thing there is sending signal to the board to send power to the pump will be the pressure switch but if the pump was replaced and it worked fine for a little while that means it’s not the pressure switch for what you’re telling me The relay it turns on the drain pump in the main control board got stuck on the on position so my suggestion will be replaced main control board
