Loved the woman commentator! She seems to know which bits of information the spectator would be interested in. I learned so much! It's just too bad that the man kept interrupting her & talking over her. Maybe next time the FEI can pair her up with someone who doesn't have an issue with sharing air time.
Probably stopping her so his ears would stop bleeding over the constant “um”, “uh”, “um”, “uh. 🔪🦻🩸😖. She knew a lot but clearly has had zero media training on how to be a good commentator.
That is not not not easy! So much precision is needed. These are super fit horses. It's such an impressive sight to see the coordination here. If anyone has ridden one horse over an XC course, imagine handling four horses! Wow! That and these horses are so beautifully conditioned and groomed!
How is this not an Olympic equestrian discipline?! This is like horse bobsleigh obstacle course meets Pony Express: crazy awesome and really impressive to watch
because it's not actually much of an athletic sport for the actual driver and the rest of the team, only the horses. The Olympics is for athletic sports of PEOPLE, that's why sports like dressage, show jumping, etc. are included but not driving sports.
@@khalfani414 I think you’re underestimating the physical aspect especially the guys behind the driver trying to keep the carriage upright and helping it get around the corner.
It should definitely make a comeback! Carriage horses or cart horses were commonly seen in the start of the Olympics it'd be so cool to see it in modern day.
@@khalfani414 having to steer the horses, know the course, know when to slow down or speed up, knowing how much weight to lean on each time at the azact moment of the turn, completeling the course in a fixed time, the riders have to know their horses and have to be experienced in driving. Honestly it's much more effort on the drivers that some sports are featured in the Olympics. It's not that hard to get lost or flip your cart, which makes this displine quite dangerous.
Get rid of the golf course for combined driving! Awesome! Great woman commentator. I sent my daughters little hackney to driving school after she outgrew him because he was getting too chubby . He pulls a two wheeled cart and one small pony and little cart is challenging enough for me. In awe of these teams. Prince Phillip did a lot to promote combined driving.
I agree with the other comments that the woman commentator was very knowledgeable, but would love to see her supported by the production team of the event with some media coaching on how not to use so many filler words (um, uh). It unfortunately diluted her obvious expertise in the sport. I learned a lot from her but would have loved to not get so distracted by the disjointed speech pattern.
It look more as a 2 horses. Optical In generel, racing, Driving, jump, dresage They cant go much faster, difficult So. Time to drop wip. Time to admaree them, or we lose sympati From tv public

The narrator: a modern day driving team consists of three athletes
The horses: am I a joke to you? 🤣

I literally just stopped in the middle of watching so I could say the same!

Yes I'm much more interested in what she was saying than him
How have we not seen more of this?! It should be an olympic sport and get a lot more attention than it is does.

Such good information from the woman commentator. The more I see this sport the more I like it.

Awesome work! Now that is chariot racing!
très beau concours ,superbe décor ca donne envie de participer
Amazing!!!
I'd love to know more of the plucky little grey horse !
Lipizzans. :) Powerful, militant breed that are very smart and hardworking.
which breed of horses used for this event
It really depends on the athlete. Mostly different warmblood breeds or some Swiss athletes use the native Freibergers for example
I can't wait😁🤗🤪
Same
