truth. I love Dilla and Nujabes - they inspire me every day. But sometimes that late 90s/early 00s hard swing is just not for me. Nor are minimal lofi drums where it's like 51% swing. Taught me to always go back to the sample/chops and what pocket I made this sample imply by manipulating it, and only programming what's there rather than what I want to be there. It was only then did people start pointing out/asking me about my drums. Not before, after.
I was feeling every low and asking my self the question should I stop making beats then I saw this video and I m going back to work never gonna quit my dream no matter how many times I fail thanks for the video ♥️
I totally agree that you'll begin to find your way when you hate it. Some of my most pivotal moments as a producer came after nearly giving up because I was frustrated with how my music was turning out.
This made me realize that before obtaining the right answer, you must have the right question. Simply put, you must find different perspectives of looking at the work you want to achieve.

Hey, first and foremost congrats on the birth of ya lil man. Fatherhood is a great thing. Happy Easter as well. And thank you for all the positive and motivational content that you create! Be blessed, not stressed!
I love you bro, legendary. Doing hip hop justice hip hop would be proud. Not only motivating the music, but he telling artist be themselves which is perfect we need new uniqueness to the music he's the less brown of music industry
God bless you mehn... You and Game, have totally given me confidence overtime.. I used to think I'm the only one in this world of hardtimes growing as a music producer and and engineer... But now I have come to realise it's just the process, thanks to you guys. I know I'm on the right path.
stop being afraid of failure like curtis said, promise you once u understand the real truth behind failure and error, u will know growth will come right after, personally i believe failure is meant to happen because i know if i keep going , moments after something special and new will happen, u cant grow without failure, i promise u that, be confident when u fail, its just a reminder that u will get better right after.
Curspiration to quench that thirstpiration!! Curtiss is out here passing out wisdom in portions small enough for you to consume and yet large enough for you to get full on. He's what you'd call a blessing. Thanks bro. Shine on...
Its true I just started using Fl a few months ago with the intention of making trap beats. Instead my beats cane out weird af but after hours everyday I got a placement with adult swim. Shout out to busyworks too because I literally got Fl and searched youtube on how to do everything lol
i just got to the point of hating it and dont know what to do its kind of got my motivation all the way down and i still love making music i just feel lost ash
This was in my backyard man ya'll were like 10-15 min from where I stay. Saw a bit of the fotage from this event It looked like a pretty dope experience.
Thanks man, this gives one dat extra push. As a beginner, one just gets to a point were it feel like yu no longer progressing, start feeling like your work is whack n' all dat but I decided to just be out here, keep doing it and keep enjoying it and not making it a maths equation. One day we'll all be great producers!
Perfect. Shit I copied trap back jumpin with my strings. Another thing to add, if there’s a particular instrument you like, use that shit until you hate it but you can do it in your sleep. Lex Luger did See Me Now and I think only had a snare roll placement on that track!
Hopefully you would never call another man god for theres only one god 1 Timothy 2:5 King James Version (KJV) 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; ---------- But to what he said hes dropping knowledge as always
Curtiss King TV I'm learning so much from both of yal RUclips. I'm a beginner at this. And def learn alot from yal, y'all both are true legends in the producer community
I think its every little or big thing, whether it's marketing or in music. It's important to try a lot of different shit ythat you are uncomfortable with. For example making a new genre. In marketing it may be getting on camera and talking to ur audience. Buying the wrong equipment... There's a lot more, the important thing is to be your own critic at all times and be willing to learn from those mistakes and take action to improve
@@Eichelprinzessin Thanks for that man that’s so important. Everyone getting into music spends months asking me “what’s the best mic to buy?? What do I even do?” Fam just keep putting one foot in front of the other. There’s no perfect path. You’ll find it on the way
If we're gonna bring up Edison as an example, another way to get your own sound is find someone else with their own sound and take credit for it with better branding lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Fail fail fail. Copy copy copy. When youll hate it youll find your own signature. Bruh this was fire ❤

How awesome you get to chill next to BusyWorks Beats...
this might be dumb, but as a producer what counts as failing? making a trash beat? failed placement attempts?
