Jimmy from DIY and DIGITAL suggested your channel. So glad he did. Thanks for such a simple intro to kitbashing.
Thanks for the comment and thank you for stopping by!
Nicely done step by step. Building came out great.
Thanks!
Great video, thanks for sharing.
This is one of the best tutorials on kitbashing that I've ever seen. Thanks!
Thanks! Glad it helped!
Really detailed how to video
Very well done Steve! Love the configuration you came up with as well. I always struggle with “thinking outside the box” sometimes and this is a great reminder that a small challenge can yield great results. 👏👏
Sean
This is a great video Steve and really shows a followable process to kitbashing a rather mundane kit.
Never thought of kitbashing I just build from scratch most times but will give this a try. Thank you for a great video about this learned alot.
GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
That was awesome! Thanks for sharing this with us. I have a few kits that I can try this process on. Again, Thanks!!
Great video the output looks amazing Steve
this is a very nice building on your layout
Nice work. Your results speak for themselves.
Steve,
A super job kit bashing. That structure looks great. I have been a kit basher for years. I save all the left over parts from the kits, as I'm sure you do. What is also a cool thing to do is build a structure from all the left off stuff. Nice tip on using the plastic putty. I will definitely give that a try; but try to avoiding the exploding putty tube. I heard your chuckle, some times all you can do is laugh. Thanks for all the great videos.
Yeah, I have some bins of left over pieces and really need to try sorting them out into smaller containers of similar pieces at some point since it is has gotten out of control.
Great explanation, I do have to kitbash a building for my layout and this will come handy. By the way this is my first layout and is based on your Tulsa spur, so double thank you
Nice!
Hey Steve! Thanks for this amazing video! Any chance you could share the spray paint name / colors for the building?
I just use various earthy/beige type colors from HD and Lowe’s. I don’t remember the exact colors I used. The siding color on this one I went back and used a Vallejo color that had a slight greenish tint. I’ll see if I can figure out which one I used sometime in the coming days when I get a chance.
Hi did you make the building from cardboard or plastic
Walls are plastic and roof is cardboard and paper.
I think you may have some skill. Lol
