Synopsis:
Lin Shuang, once a brilliant student at a top-tier university, ended up being a full-time mom. But she was betrayed and had to return to the workforce to fight for custody of her child. I agree with him on the part that she pursued him first. At the same time, it’s like everyone else, he always finds an excuse. Her Dad didn’t approve of the marriage because he was a married man. The thing about the Huang family is that they don’t fall for gaslighting and manipulation tricks. The parents were smart though, because they made sure he doesn’t have any leverage.
Jai Yi is right that he only cared about his role as a parent when it benefited him. Just like, the way he treats Guoguo.
I am proud of JX, even though, it was the cost of her own reputation and career, she told the truth.
LS is so thoughtful and kind. She didn’t need to help Jaiyi in the grocery store or bring her to the hospital but she did.

Wow ..the writes have written "gaslighting" character of Wei Ming so well ...and beautiful how 3 women dealt with differently..LS who fell forit and suffered and wasted years of her life and talent and in the process her confidence ...JX who fell for it in her desperation to get out of a poor life and found her self worth ...and Lastly Jiayi who fell for it because she was spoilt and naive but stood up for herself pretty quickly

I love the first mistress, Jiang Xie. She acted so brilliant. She was the one I feel sorry for the most, her horrible mother, her brother, the need for money to keep her family, turned her into a mistress. She didn't know the toe rag was married at first......
I really like her character arc too, but I don't excuse her for her affair with WM. It was pretty hard to miss the wedding ring on his finger and he also was known as a devoted "family" man in the office. (I still think the greater fault for the affair lie with him though. He was the one in the committed relationship)

Even though Huang Jiayi chased him first, i still pity her. She’s the kind of person who would give up anything for her lover, and she found the wrong lover. She gave it all away for him, and he’s a freak. She never thought he would treat her like that, or even hurt her when she’s pregnant with his child.. even though she did some bad things, i still feel bad for her.

I don't feel bad for her, She was okay when WM did LS dirty And kept all the marital assets from LS, She was okay with it when he got LS fired from her job by being underhanded and shady, She was okay with them kidnapping his daughter to force LS to sign the divorce agreement, she purposely set up arrangements where his wife was not invited intentionally so that she would be his plus one in her place, so no, I don't feel bad for her. Jiayi got EVERYTHING SHE DESERVED.

Isnt this typical of young girls or boys, we see it in real life , teenagers do this all the time. And this is what spoilt young and older princess girls do, they fall in love with a self made man, chase him relentless and demand his attention.... it was always going to end bad for her.
