    I'm sorry. Whilst the cyclist in the early parts of the video had every right to be annoyed with the cars highlighted, saying that "He was so distracted by them that he made mistakes" doesn't wash with me. When we drive a car, we have to be aware of EVERYTHING, and not just the bad drivers/cyclists. When you are vulnerable on a cycle, and there are even more vulnerable pedestrians around, this should be doubly true.

    they are ahead of you so obviously going faster. maybe they are on the speed LIMIT? if the police car hasn't got their blues and two's on, then i'm confused mr bike, why do they need to move over?

    the police not pulling them over may be a clue.....

    • @lukekelly9616

      Having blues and twos is irrelevant. The outside lane is for overtaking and not lane hogging. The very same as a motorway.

    • @EricSmith-km1jb
      @EricSmith-km1jb 2 месяца назад

      @@lukekelly9616 who said they were lane hogging? you just assumed without even knowing the full facts. you don't know anything about the speeds of the vehicles in question, nor the layout of the road ahead whether there is a right turn further down which means planning ahead.
      if they were on the speed limit then overtaking would not be allowed would it einstein as that would mean speeding.
      blues and two's are relevant, because a) the police aren't on an emergency so don't need to move over and b) they found no reason to reprimand the driver as they were possibly on the speed limit.
      so by your sound logic, if everyone drove on the left lane in this clip, would that help or hinder traffic flow? hint: this is town driving which is why there are 2 lanes?......take your time.
      i would seriously take time to brush up on the highway code and it's guidance and learn some basic common sense whilst you're at it as well.

      I and those who know the Highway Code said he was lane hogging. Doesn't give two shits what vehicle was behind or what speed it was doing. There is no proof he was taking a right hand turn ahead and no proof he was doing the maximum speed. It's on a multi lane road. The same rules apply to a motorway or dual carriageway. *Keep Left* unless overtaking or on DC or single carriageway. Read the fkn Highway Code.

      @@lukekelly9616 you know nothing about their speed yet arrogantly assumed a lot.
      I'll go slowly for you (pun intended)....If they were travelling at 37mph which is speeding in a 30mph zone, then they are ALWAYS GOING FASTER than vehicles in both lanes so not hogging, yet you think they should still move over to the left because driving in the right lane is hogging.....hogging what and who exactly? who's overtaking them? you're probably one of those brainiacs who signal when they change lanes on an empty motorway right?
      "There is no proof there is a right turn ahead"...but there is no proof there isn't one either is there einstein? usually when you see two lanes in town driving, that means there is a right turn further down the road einstein....so the probability is there IS a right turn further down in which case this driver could be planning ahead.
      As i said earlier, you might want to read up a bit on traffic calming measures for town driving taken by councils. clue: multiple lanes are one of those einstein....i'll go slowly again....if everyone drove on the left, would that create a longer queue or shorter behind if the right lane was kept empty and how would that affect congestion?
      ..and why are you quoting motorway guidance for town driving????
      You should quit whilst you're behind here einstein.
