All three lanes were open at that point and there were roadworks ahead which were bringing it down to just one lane, hence the queues and the twunts using the hard shoulder to try and bypass the queues. If the hard shoulder had been opened for traffic to use then there would have been far more vehicles on it and it would have been signposted.
In that last clip the driver wasn't using the Bus Lane as there is no Bus Lane at the traffic lights immediately after the Bus Stop. He changed to the left lane in order to go straight on (the right lane being for turning right and straight on, but is obviously commonly blocked by vehicles turning right), then the Bus/Cycle lane starts up again just after the junction. These styles of junctions are awful as they only generally give about two car lengths of space between the end of the Bus Lane and the lights. Cyclist should have been aware of the junction and taken measures to avoid conflict with cars moving to the left. Yes, the grey/silver van didn't indicate unlike the white one before it, I don't think there was any deliberate foul play going on here just poor hazard perception from both rider and driver and a rubbish road layout, this must be a really common occurrence at this junction.
The RangeRover and lane 3 Truck... The truck shouldn't have used lane 3, BUT.... HGV's have far more precise speedo's than cars because of the tacho. Cars can OVER read by upto 10% and be legal, as long as they don't under read. If you have a satnav, use it's speed which is more accurate. Secondly, as a class1 driver who's sat behind 100's of muppet cars blocking the middle lane thru specs, at 44mph, point blank refusing to move over, I don't blame the truck. So, the cammer might have been sat dead at 50mph according to his speedo but, GPS speed could be as low as 45mph. Lorry drivers realise this so you will quite often see they are the faster vehicles in 50mph zones. I normally cruise past most people in average speed zones, as i go by my GPS speed which is more accurate.

What these wombles don't understand is that their speedometers were last set in the factory. Lorries have their speedometers checked and calibrated regularly. So what we saw was not a speeding lorry but one that knows the actual speed of their vehicle and making progress.

Its a 50 mph limit, so you can't 'speed up' to pass .. all traffic is (or should be) doing 50. Also, the lorry shouldn't be in lane 3 at any point so doesn't matter if you're in his 'blind spot'.

Swad dash cam needs to get back in his box. Yes trucks are not permitted to use the 3rd lane, however it is regarded as dangerous. It just keeps lane 3 moving quicker. Also, what the dash cammer seems to not realise, is that the trucks speedometer is a lot more accurate than his vehicle. The truck driver knows this, because you pay more attention, there are average speed cameras along that stretch of road

Any vehicle either towing, or over 7.5 ton, is only allowed to use the 3rd lane in an emergency, regardless of what speed other users are doing. So the professional driver broke the speed limit, unless HGV 's are prohibited from the outside lane I thought it was a well executed manoeuvre, and return to the correct lane afterwards. Don't share the view that he put others at risk anymore than any speed excess in larger vehicles, which have the capacity to do more damage. Also the particular HGV might have been empty/only partially loaded and so more responsive and easier to control/stop etc. Without knowing all details, deadlines, delivery times, and management pressure, etc, I won't judge the driver!

Exactly. A cars speedometer can easily be indicate 10 percent over the actual speed.
