- A final assault on Governor's Island consisting of massed resistance forces is planned. After capturing Fort Jay and rescuing Isabella, New York is liberated for the time being as Chris and the group solemnly celebrate their victory. Chris knows the Soviets will not give up the occupied United States easily, but resolves to fight on as long as is necessary.

Agreed. Played this game on the PS2 when it came out in 2003. I love how they added a bit of depth to Phil Bagzton right at the end.

I replayed this game obsessively. The ending left so much more to be desired, I wanted Chris’s story to continue...But we never got to see it.

I'd love to see an anniversary edition with updated graphics.
While keeping the music. Because I can't see any other pieces of music being put in place unless Kyd wan'ts to remaster and maybe tweak some of the music. However, I find the music to be quite fitting where it needs to be.

The opening cutscene to this chapter is honestly still one of my favourites in all video games.
Its just so goddamn good.
How the hell does that clutz of a character come out with the MOST POIGNANT LINE of the entire games dialogue? The writing for this game was fantastic.
If there was a sequel, there should be two campaigns, one in the Resistance as Chris Stone once again, the other from a Soviet point of view, a spetznaz soldier, the first few missions sabotaging Resistance bases and killing them. A few missions later, he is left to die by his comrades after a botched raid. He is saved by Chris after the incursion (much like how you can save wounded soviets in this game) and joins the Resistance as a tactical advisor and right-hand man to Chris. That's my idea anyway.

Its actually funny you mention this because in the game it's rare spawn but sometimes recruitiable rebels are injured Soviet soldiers.

the music and dialog really makes a game
the ending really set itself up for a sequal that never came..
I am 30 years young, be 31 in March, I got this game in 2003 I believe I was 11, if they made a new version, more of Chris’s story and how far he got like Rick grimes and if they made it like the division or breakpoint or wild lands it would dope, I miss this game so much, they left us hangin at the end for all these years

I too have finished playing this game and indeed the ending was rather inconclusive. No wonder why people were hoping for a sequel for so long.

We need modders and game developers fans to upgrade this game’s graphics. This game is just perfect man. There is really no other game greater than this when it comes to the soundtrack at least. The best soundtrack ever produced for a video game period.
