- When people think of females in rallying, one name usually springs to mind: Michele Mouton. But what if we told you, that there was a legend on the scene long before? 427 Motorsports brings you the story of a rallying legend: Ewy Rosqvist.
Rest in peace dear Ewy. Once again you are together with Ursula and hopefullly driving Benzes. What an inspirational life you had, and thank you for making the Mercedes brand what it use to stand for, a forefront of automobile engineering. ❤❤❤

Nice tribute but you left out the fact that Ewy' s first factory rally drive contract was with Volvo! Mercedes had to buy her out of that contract to get her. Ewy's early rally drives were in a Saab, then a private Volvo. Her second husband was the Mercedes motorsport director Baron von Korff. From 1967 she cared for him during his terminal illness. They lived in Stuttgart. Her correct name was thus Ewy von Korff Rosqvist ( not Rosqvist von Korff). Maybe you could re- edit the voice over to include these facts. By the way, Stirling Moss's sister Pat was Ewy' s main competition circa 1959-61. Pat married Erik Carlsson after rally driver John Sprinzel had introduced them .

It was written into our original script - it just didnt make the Final Cut due to audio issues on the shoot. Sadly it’s not as simple as editing the voice over, RUclips doesn’t allow it.

what about Pat Moss?
Unfortunately Ewe passed away. Besides being a superb driver she was very beautiful and sexy as you see in her videos and not a spec of dust in her clothes from the filthy roads where the raleighs took place. It's a pity seeing the rust on that beautiful W111, I would take more care of it and turn it to pristine conditions because as years pass this vintage car becomes more valued
