«Las bodas de Fígaro», dirigida por el propio autor, se estrenó el Primero de Mayo de 1786 en Viena donde hubo otras 8 representaciones. A finales de ese mismo año, se estrenó en Praga donde alcanzó un gran éxito, celebrado por el propio Mozart en una carta a su amigo el barón Gottfried von Joacquim: "Nada se oye por aquí excepto cantar, silbar o tararear el Fígaro". La obra volvió a Viena en 1789 y Mozart, a petición del libretista Lorenzo da Ponte, revisó la partitura para adaptarla a Aderiana Ferrarese del Bene, la nueva soprano que sustituiría a la primera, Nancy Storace, en el papel de Susana. Y así el aria "Venite inginocchiatevi" fue sustituida por "Un moto di giogia", y la titulada "Deh viene non tardar" (que en nuestro vídeo canta Mirella Freni, una de las mejores Susanas, y sopranos), fue cambiada por "Al desio di chi t'adora" que en el vídeo es interpretada por la mezzo Cecilia Bartoli. Ambas arias comienzan igual, con «Giunse alfin il momento...» pero luego divergen tal como hemos visto.

Heavenly voice and wonderful singing in every way. Unforgetable Mirella Freni.
It is the best. When I die, I hope I hear Mirella Freni singing this aria in my mind. She is gone, and there is a reason why her like won't come again. Nobody today sings with the pure portamento, of the great Italian singing tradition anymore. Mirella Freni was the very last of the long line of Italian sopranos, in the signing tradition all the way back to the 18th century. I listened to her and she taught me what it was all about. We have sopranos with beautiful voices for this music. But the true technique is lost. They sing the music beautifully but the history of bel canto is lost in their voices. Like Anna Netrebko. And the others. Cherish this, we do have a recording of what it was and what was lost.
great comment, i just ask out of curiosity, i heard that sopranos from eastern europe still have this kind of teaching like inessa galante, do you think italian tradition differs a lot from the eastern european tradition for such techniques for sopranos?
@@ccflute Bulgarian sopranos are taught bel-canto. Ghena Dimitrova, Anna Tomova-Sintow, Raina Kabaivanska, Sónia Yoncheva, Kasarovaetc.etc.

Very beautiful and dedicated interpretations of the arias. Very clear and simple phrasing too in a good way. You do not always have to aim for the hardest variations when performing on stage. The whole magic is made up through her feelings. Amazing.
One of the very best ever! Amazing her Verdi and Puccini... and this the most delicate and sensitive of her roles. She friggin' rocks!

La Freni fa qui piazza pulita delle Susanne subrettine tutte moine zuccherosine e mostra quanto guadagna la parte ad essere cantata da un vero soprano lirico. Stupenda. Al suo livello metto solo la L.Popp.
