Dr Tom Scott, what a delightful composition Tuba Tune is! How wonderful that your brother can play what you compose--and on this tremendous organ. How can we get today's young people to appreciate such brilliant music?
So beautiful... Thank you for sharing your extraordinary talent with these exceptional instruments! Love from Johannesburg South Africa. 🙏🏻✝️🤗🇿🇦🎼🎵🎶🎹👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👏🏻👌🏻
Wow I have been to many concerts in the town hall as a life long Huddersfield resident but this was the best by far. we look forward to you retuning soon.
The Ruslan and Ludmila Overture has been one of my favourite classical pieces for years. I'm in awe of the transcription and the ability to play it! Wonderful, Jonathan!
This organ reminds me of the Alexandra Palace Willis organ in its glory days, with the choir risers on each side. Sadly what's left of it now sits on a small platform. I wish the Scott brothers would do a concert at the Ally Pally, to bring attention to this fine organ, once described as the finest concert organ in England (Marcel Dupré).
Many Thanks My Dear Brothers. As always a beautiful concert. Imposing pipe organ. Wonderful renditions of Vivaldi and Grieg. It is really a great privilege to enjoy your music, videos and Jonathan s enthusistic introductions. You are very very generous.
From the dizzying heights of HTH, this extravaganza of sound & Jonathan's musical showmanship 🎩 was captured by Dr Tom's nifty gadgets! 📽🎤 Grateful we can rehear this phantasmagorical spectacle of music-making including Tom's thunderous Tuba Tune!🎉 A treat for all ages! 🙆♀️ Well done; great program showcasing the range of this fabulous organ! ❤❤🎹🎶 ,
Superb! What a marvellous collaboration - stunning visually and aurally. As often as I've heard the Dvorak Largo, this performance brought out aspects I'd never noticed, and the Wagner was just thrilling. Thank you both so much for this opportunity to experience this magnificent instrument and its hall.
What a privilege to be invited to partake in such an excellent concert in the splendiferous setting of Huddersfield Town Hall, superlatively filmed by Dr Tom Scott. Mr Jonathan Scott created a truly harmonious programme: his inclusion of his brother’s new composition ‘Tuba Tune’ demonstrated Dr Scott’s highly regarded ability in that sphere. I will ever, dear gentlemen, be the greatest admirer of your prodigious talents.
It's starting out great. What a wonderful treat. I can't wait to hear Toms' Tuba Tune (?). xx PS As it turned out, I love Dr. Toms. Tuba Tune. It was so light and lively. I love Grieg's home in Bergen. It is magical.
I have just seen His concert in NOSPR CONCERT HALL KATOWICE, Poland, Sunday the 14th of April 2024 and am amazed by THE ART OF JONATHAN SCOTT! He is Fantastic!
I have known the first piece (Glinka) for years, but this is the first performance I have ever found thrilling. Brilliant! (And what a superb instrument.)
I'm just dreaming of a concert with John Wilson and his Sinfonia of London in the Huddersfield Town Hall, joined by Jonathan Scott in the Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony. Two of the UK's most interesting and adventurous musicians working together.
Superb presentation, Gentlemen! I love the whimsical sense of humour in the Description and Mr Jonathan's accompanying information about the Great Huddersfield Pipe Organ and of each piece he played. Well done, Dr Tom; your Tuba Tune will be a great encore piece for concert organists before Exeunt Stage Right with Sweeping Bow, to ecstatic applause!
I have to say that I become very emotional when watching you play, Jonathan. Your talent (and yours, as well, Tom) is overwhelming. I loved Tom's Tuba Tune - what a fun piece of music. The transcriptions are wondeful to hear and a challenge for the organist. Thank you both for these online concerts and for sharing your wonderful talent with all of us.
Beautiful, as usual, I shall never see any of these grand venues, but I can always delight in you and Toms' wonderful concerts. The grand instruments, (piano and organ), never fail to lift me up. Thanking you both, play on.
Once again we have been able to follow a magnificent concert. Congratulations!!😘😘 The place, despite being a little old, has an excellent organ, which sounds very transparent and at the same time with a lot of 'lordship'. I suppose this is due, in large part, to the incredible acoustics of the room, where each note can be appreciated with great clarity. The concert begins with M.Glinka's overture. It is a great entry that promises a great spectacle. Congratulations to Tom, for your great work recording and filming, but above all for your work "Tuba Tunes" where your facet as a trumpeter is appreciated...The work is fun, cantabile and with a certain imperial stamp. It could perfectly serve as a soundtrack for a movie! 😂😂 The 'Ride of the Valkyries' piece was a magnificent ending. Piece of great virtuosity with a tremendous ending that Jonathan has played to perfection, as usual. Thank you both once again for your generosity in sharing your work with your followers!!💖❤
What a magnificent instrument!! It is such a pleasure to see & hear this wonderful organ & to know that it is still used so much, as so few are these days. Your programme Jonathan was so varied & hugely enjoyable. The Lute Concerto gave me goosebumps, as I remembered the 1st time I heard it when you played it so expressively at the Holy Name Church during the pandemic. Your performance then affected me greatly also. Dr. Tom's Tuba Tune is so jolly & bright - well done Tom! Thank you both for this amazing concert, the sights & sounds brought me great joy! Well done both of you, this was fabulous!! xx
What superlatives to add to those already posted is my problem. But what a pleasant one it is! Both Jonathan’s mastery of the keys and pedals and Tom’s genius with the video camera are a total treat for the soul. Overflowing thanks to you two talented and generous guys. May heaven-sent blessings and provisions abound for you and yours. A grateful San Diego fan!
Glorious from start to end and Dr. scotts new piece is absolutely lush! . It should be nicknamed 'The Vanguard' 👍 I'll defo be needing the sheet music to it. thanks lads 👌
I'm already counting the hours! The concert and video are sure to be amazing as always! I'm very curious to hear Tom's new composition! Thank you both for everything!
One of the Nation's finest 'Town Hall Organs', played by one of the Nation's finest concert organists. It looks as though the Burghers and Burgesses of Huddersfield take care of their magnificent pipe organ, too.
Thank you both! Your concerts just get better and better. Tom, your recording of this concert was your best yet. In my AV room I was transported from Eagan Minnesota. I could have been the hall. I loved your Tuba Tune. I think you aced out C.S. Lang! I am so grateful for the trouble you take over these online concerts.
Splendid. It’s so wonderful to have this new dangled video so that we can watch repeats! I’ve been to numerous concerts at the Town Hall; only live 2 miles away but rarely hear the organ played so well!
Ahh the grand Hornpipe and Air from Water Music the most esteemed Dr. George Friedrich Handel. Jonathon plays this grand piece in the key of D major however another common transcription of this piece is in the key of G major.
Really enjoy your performances. Years ago I started transcribing Ruslan and Ludmilla! But I never finished. Great to hear it performed on the organ as I knew it would work. I only did one transcription that gain any popularity and that was 'Procession of Nobles'. You are welcome to it for the asking.
Sorry guys for not responding earlier yust now had a chance to listen to this wonderful concert holidays etc I listened to it twice what a delight thanks for always brighten my days happy holidays to you two!!
As usual all fantastic, but particularly liked your translation of the Grieg, usually like the piano version but the organ stops sounded really fantastic, very noticeable how well the organ tuning was, many thanks to Tom for video and great sound.
Unspeakably beautiful hall and what a vast amazing organ! THANKS so much for your talent and hard work in bringing this to us worldwide. I'm in San Diego CA, USA listening to this on New Year's Eve 2023 ~
Thanks Tom deliteful composition
Thank you for another excellent concert.

Wow amazing but i missed the premiere so i hat to watch it on recap after the premiere
Tom's Tuba Tune is magnificent and sounded like it was written for this very organ in Huddersfield Town Hall!🎺📯🎹
Superb presentation, Gentlemen! I love the whimsical sense of humour in the Description and Mr Jonathan's accompanying information about the Great Huddersfield Pipe Organ and of each piece he played. Fantastic concert. Hearing that organ again reminds me of the 1st time I heard it on an LP by town hall organist, Johnathan Beilby
Now that God gifted you with such a beautiful music, I pray that he may as well give you a 200 years of health and amazing performances

Thoroughly enjoyed Tuba Tune! Any plans to perform at Winchester Cathedral? :)
When you said the "Mrs Sunderland Competition", I briefly thought it was a beauty competition... thank you for the clarification.
I'm already counting the hours!
The concert and video are sure to be amazing as always! I'm very curious to hear Tom's new composition! Thank you both for everything!
I've a recording of this piece played by Virgil Fox on a Wirlitzer. Brilliant.
I have a 33rpm of Virhil Fox playing Scott Joplin on the pedal harpsichord, it is so unusual.
One of the Nation's finest 'Town Hall Organs', played by one of the Nation's finest concert organists. It looks as though the Burghers and Burgesses of Huddersfield take care of their magnificent pipe organ, too.
Excelllent didactic concert...

I see Mr. Tom Scott took inspiration from Mr. Handel's Hornpipe.
