i’m gonna be honest, i would hypothetically use fetish bots that are well written but just ignore the fetish implications (looking at you macrochad) but even so, these bots were still made with a clear intention. i actually find it really disgusting myself. i lowkey still have war flashbacks to the inflatable sylveon. usually the creators of these kinds of bots use a handle that they use on other sites, so just to make sure i’m not overreacting and they are ACTUALLY into it i’ve put their usernames through google. and yes i can confirm you guys should absolutely trust your guts.
I'll also add to this by stating that the filter is trash. It's faulty, rarely (if ever) actually filters content worth filtering, and is easily bypassed when you have an 18+ account. cai should have made their app 17+ or 18+ and been done with it. they don't actually purge the bots that genuinely break their rules. i've had multiple NSFW bots in my recommended page, with various different kinks/fetishes for character bots. reporting these bots does nothing. the bots often have millions or hundreds of thousands of chats. so i find it hard to believe that if i report these bots, cai support doesn't notice. they just don't care. they just want to avoid another lawsuit and don't give a damn about being user friendly.

we cant forget about what the bots could respond with (well, before the filters got super strict, the bots used to get freaky a lot.) also, i bet mentioning this problem on their discord server, to try and get the staff team aware of it, will only give you an unnecessary timeout because the auto mods think your breaking the rules, when your not (trust me i was timed out multiple times for just saying things that mention how bad the staff team are, at their jobs, because the automod fought i was breaking rule 3 or 10. when all i said was how the timeout and the strict filter was kinda unnecessary.)
Tbh imo nobody should be using any character ai apps anyway. It's like an addiction that you can't get out of. People may use it to cope or for comfort, but in the end it is EXTREMELY unhealthy.
