A few years ago, a friend of mine got involved with a woman with three kids. (He didn’t have any children). Fortunately for him, he saw the writing on the wall and shut it down. Now he’s married to a hardworking woman who doesn’t have her hand out and they have a child together. He has told me more than once that he really dodged a bullet with that first situation.
Imagine you are the child seeing your dad trying to give you a surprise treat (McDonald's) and you see your mother throw it out in front of you. It sends the message "I can't have nice things because of my siblings" "My siblings ruin everything for me". Now I just might harm my siblings because now I resent them. No one ever thinks about that part. I remember resenting my classmates because I was absent one day and they did something to not get recess. I returned and had to miss My recess for a week because it would be unfair to the other kids. Um THAT'S THE POINT OF PUNISHMENT!!! So how is it fair to ME who was always a good student to get punished because of majority? I resented my classmates. Now what if I was emotionally unstable and hurt them because of it? I learned majority rules. Needless to say it made me question my whole character. WHY be good when I'm just going to get punished with the bad? You can't stop jealousy among siblings or bullying. Who's to say they aren't already bullying him because his father is the only one that shows up? So now the father CANT show up for the kid because the other ones don't and they will get jealous? Are you KIDDING ME? Who knows how she treats his son when he is not there. If you have the audacity to throw his food away in his face then she has no problem abusing the child BECAUSE his dad is in his life. He will also resent her when growing up and will stick her in a nursing home quickly. My Dad got lots of abuse because his dad was trying to be in his life. His dad sent him tons of money. A few years ago, a friend of mine got involved with a woman with three kids. (He didn’t have any children). Fortunately for him, he saw the writing on the wall and shut it down. Now he’s married to a hardworking woman who doesn’t have her hand out and they have a child together. He has told me more than once that he really dodged a bullet with that first situation.
I have "dodged" that same problem in the past as well.
Imagine you are the child seeing your dad trying to give you a surprise treat (McDonald's) and you see your mother throw it out in front of you. It sends the message "I can't have nice things because of my siblings" "My siblings ruin everything for me". Now I just might harm my siblings because now I resent them. No one ever thinks about that part. I remember resenting my classmates because I was absent one day and they did something to not get recess. I returned and had to miss My recess for a week because it would be unfair to the other kids. Um THAT'S THE POINT OF PUNISHMENT!!! So how is it fair to ME who was always a good student to get punished because of majority? I resented my classmates. Now what if I was emotionally unstable and hurt them because of it? I learned majority rules. Needless to say it made me question my whole character. WHY be good when I'm just going to get punished with the bad? You can't stop jealousy among siblings or bullying. Who's to say they aren't already bullying him because his father is the only one that shows up? So now the father CANT show up for the kid because the other ones don't and they will get jealous? Are you KIDDING ME? Who knows how she treats his son when he is not there. If you have the audacity to throw his food away in his face then she has no problem abusing the child BECAUSE his dad is in his life. He will also resent her when growing up and will stick her in a nursing home quickly. My Dad got lots of abuse because his dad was trying to be in his life. His dad sent him tons of money. Enough for college plus some. Just to spite him and the dad ALL his money was spent on the REST of the siblings and he was kicked out of the house. This has nothing to do with my Grandfather providing for him. Those other kids getting upset are concequences of her actions of making a career out of getting child support and welfare. You don't know why he gave that child McDonald's. That McDonald's could have been the one thing keeping that kid from going over the edge. Maybe he did good In school. Maybe it was his birthday etc. But your going to deprive your child right in front of your child ? That's low. Then you expect that child to still love and obey you while you sabotage their happy moment with their Dad. So his dad can't spend time with him because the other one will get jealous. That's better emotional management I guess. Make them all suffer without their dad's. Great plan! See I wouldn't mind giving all the kids something if it was PLANNED. But don't spring that on me right then and there. He may not have enough money to pay for all those kids. He already paying child support. But he shouldn't deprive his kid because of the other ones. She knew he was coming over to give that kid food because it's recorded. She could have easily asked him to get more food over the phone before he arrived.
