With my 3rd pregnancy, I created a 10 piece wardrobe and always felt put together and ready for any day. This was 1979-80, so I had never heard the term “capsule” but that’s exactly what it was. Any piece went with every piece.
You look wonderful in that soft, cool, pink, dear Signe, especially with your glow of pregnancy. Thanks for your great information and I’m happy that your little daughter will soon have a sibling to play with❤
Body change can be very daunting.Moving closer to sixty change is happening so fast thanks to topics like this the journey becomes easier.❤
I'm the complete opposite when it comes to capsule/seasonal wardrobes.I never pack away or rotate clothes seasonally. I like to have all of my clothes available throughout the whole year & I've found it's hugely beneficial for creating a variety of outfits. For example, I can layer up summer dresses with chunky knits for autumn/winter & get so much more out of my clothes. Or I might throw on tights & loafers with my mini skirts for a preppy look. It also helps that I live in Ireland which is a pretty temperate climate so clothes can be worn in multiple seasons without looking out of place. I also don't trifurcate my wardrobe any more. All clothes are mixed & matched for all occasions. Sequins and velvet to work- yes! I just pair them with smart tailored trousers and loafers or brogues to balance the feminine/masculine energy & tone things down. I love rethinking how I might wear pieces in different combinations.
This comment right here! Also being from Manchester, England the weather is not that changeable (damp and mild throughout the year) we don't really dress that seasonally and layering is our best friend.
I had a double mastectomy for breast cancer 5 months ago, and I love the change in my ability to style clothing I hadn't been able to wear for years. I have a completely flat chest now. A huge change from the very large bust I had on my petite body! I do keep all of my clothes out all year round. However, I have a clothing rack to put definite seasonal pieces on. It certainly does help. You look so beautiful and happy Signe, a huge congratulations ❤ I would love to see more on your wardrobe choices for the coming months. Thank you.
Great content , having gone through menopause , there were and still are times I don't recognise my body , I have adapted and managed to maintain my true style but it was hard at times , good to see changes throughout life recognised , excellent advice ❤ ❤ ❤❤❤
Congratulations on baby 2!!!
the pink sweater looks lovely on you
Would love to see your maternity style and wardrobe choices. So lovely to see your glow!
Gave birth one year ago, and I’m still in the process of building my wardrobe basically from scratch - since about 80% of my former wardrobe no longer fits. Altso I had to dress so differently during pregnancy than I usually do, so now I’m really inspired to buy pieces I’d never dare to buy before. But it’s a slow process, since I prefer buying second hand, or make clothes myself, so it’s a bit frustrating since I have so few pieces of clothing that actually fits 😅
Super relatable! I also had a lot of body changes since i gave birth and thru breastfeeding which is making it tricky to find clothing I love.
I quit smoking cigarettes 2 months ago, wow that was hard! I gained 17 lbs in that time! So now I'm struggling to figure out what to wear while I work on losing the extra weight. This video was helpful. Thanks!

Same, Lori. It sucks ;/ All the best.
@@spelabavdaz8356 Thank you! You too!
Welcome back dear friend!! We are thrilled for your news!
Never spotted a soft cool summer more quickly🎉 she is a summer
Du ser så fin ut i den rosa tröjan! Den passar dig så! Du ser så frisk och glad ut i den, den klär dig jättebra!
I lost 50 lbs. over the last decade or so, mostly because of aging, I think. I altered everything I could, mostly simple skirts, but eventually I had to buy a whole new wardrobe last year, when I could finally afford to. It was fun, but very expensive, as I can’t wear anything synthetic/plastic. I tried to choose not just the best quality, but the most classic, versatile and timeless styles I could. Replacing my entire wardrobe is not something I ever expect to do again, but I hope my weight has stabilized now, where it was on my wedding day 40 years ago (I had to reduce exercise and eat a bit more). I love adding new items here and there, but it was painful to get rid of so many old favorites at once! Going from a US size 16 to a 6 is just too much of a change, falling-off clothes just can’t be altered this much. They would have to be completely disassembled, cut down and resewn, no tailor wanted to do it at any price and buying new was less expensive, even at top-quality. Fortunately, older footwear and accessories still work! After I got retired, I did regret getting rid of my beautiful, top-quality blazers, I just haven’t been able to find that quality again now, at any price point.
Next year I'll be finishing graduate school and will be working on site ( I've been working 10 years from home,). I've been gradually shifting my closet with versatile work pieces that I want to wear outside of work to avoid closet division and panic buying when my internship and career shift happens. A recent purchase was secondhand 100% silk knit sleeveless top in deep lime that I can wear at work but enjoy casually and on vacation.
Glad you’re feeling better, and thanks for some great advice as ever.
This couldn't have come at a better time! I'm 13 weeks pregnant and having to go through my wardrobe
Thank you for this video, Signe ❤ I finally understood what it means to detrifurcate one’s wardrobe 😊 because for me the concept was too complicated. That is interesting idea of mixing and matching your sections of wardrobe, but still prefer to have them 🤗 because it gives me more structure 🙌🏻
Good to have you back, Signe.
Thanks, Signe and congratulations. With your example, I put away jeans and tops that were too tight last year. I am slowly losing weight and firming up and am SO happy to open up those storage boxes to find “new” things! Some still don’t fit, but I don’t put them into rotation yet. In the past, I had to try on several things before finding something that fit. No more! I am getting rid of things that are no longer me and I’m confident never will be 😉.
Congratulations on baby ! The best wishes
Congratulations to you and yours! Two life changes for me: Returning to work and will be wearing a uniform. Dropped weight and need a new wardrobe. A long as I can put on lounge wear after work, Im golden for a while as far as "new clothes".
Welcome back Signe! I was nauseous throughout my entire pregnancy, so I understand. I wish I had chanels like yours to watch when my body was going through pregnancy change.Thank you for sharing 😊❤ !
❤ the video! So glad you are back.
Thank you , needed the motivation to have a sort out .
glad to have you back! yes pregnancy styling sounds great
Great tips, thanks so much Signe!
Congratulations! :) You've got "the glow", and I love how you are enhancing it with your pink sweatshirt and blush!
Hi Signe, great to see you doing well! I‘m currently doing my switch over to my summer wardrobe in rather rainy and cool weather and here, too, it is helpful to simplify and blur the lines ☀️🌦️
Great tips! Thanks, Signe 😊❤
Thanks!! Exactly what i needed! Hugs ❤️
Congratulations on your pregnancy 🫶🏻
I love the video, I’m not really going through changes, but I still want my closet to be flexible with anything that might occur. I’m also not really separating my clothes for different occasions, I at least try to make everything work for my casual outfits. So I do own button down shirts (if I ever need to wear something formal), but I use them a jackets in the summer or simply for layering, because it would be a waist to only wear those items once a year when I need them for their original purpose. Of course some items are less versatile than others, but in general I try to give them all multiple purposes. And as a general rule (as my life and work isn’t too formal), if an item is so formal that i can’t implement it with my casual style (casual being one of my style adjectives), it’s already more formal than it needs to be and I don’t need it 😊
congratulations on baby n2!! video idea: how to edit/approach kids wardrobe. I have 9mo twins and I feel like Im having to sort all their clothes every couple of weeks, taking more time than it actually should!
congratulations! I am also due with my second in December 🙃
I know you already got some maternity jeans, but if you are looking for other modern cuts that are good quality, I highly recommend a Swedish brand, Ilouity. Started by someone I went to highschool with. Sending a big hug
Congratulations 🎉❤
I really hate jeans, and the unforgiving fit is only one reason. My few pairs are only one waist size too large, but they look as bad as one size too small, there is mo flexibility in denim at all. I don’t understand why everyone loves them, they do look cute, but they’re the most uncomfortable garments I can think of. I only wear them when I absolutely must, for rugged activities, not that I do much of those.
You need to find denim with stretch. Not the what I call 'true denim' of the 60-70s, etc. Best Wishes!
I agree. It’s so many frogs before you find a jeans Prince. I cannot wait to get them off! Wear them so seldom now.
And during summer impossible for me to wear....far to warm garnment....
❤❤ Video ideia : capsule wardrobe for retiree !!
Best of luck
