They used to teach Dating and Marriage in some Catholic High Schools.
But I went to one that taught it at the boys school before it merged with the girls school and we became a coed Catholic High School.
Why they stopped teaching it at first, I understand, but I hope that they brought it back. I kind if doubt it.
When the two schools first merged, we kids were very vulnerable and it would have felt like pressure and it would have been hard for us in Senior year. We were the first merged class that got three years together.
Being together added a new and real pressure..

So true! I broke up with 2 servicemen exactly because I thought it was ironic that they worked in fields performing “acts of service” but I found out the hard way that it didn’t apply to me 😳 - I asked why & was told - I thought you had it handled! 🤬 - I wasn’t physically involved… but long distance… seriously.. wth?!?! My relationships typically last 3 years or more with daily contact & very physical. I agree you need interests together & apart to sustain the relationship. My last with my Ex was established in 2000 and we were in a band together. We had alot of fun but there was no romance, while we did have kids from 2015 & 2017 but that was very clinical and that’s when it started falling apart. I’ve come to the conclusion that he didn’t want a family. It was 2017 when my marriage ended. So, it started with everything, but it was missing a truth. Therefore, the loyalty & commitment was there, but the honesty on his part wasn’t there. However, I do have my children and have a chance to start over. I have the attitude of gratitude 🙏 ❤

As a mature woman, I also have friendships with ex significant others. Those relationships didn’t work out for a REASON, but it doesn’t mean you can’t care about each other! Sometimes men need a woman who will be HONEST with them, and they rely on you for that to help them in their own lives! I’m friendly with all my exes. When they need prayer, they contact me! I’m glad they all know me well enough to do that! I don’t hold grudges against anyone. That doesn’t serve me. Period. They all wish the best for me, and I’m the same way with them. I know it takes a mature person to accept that, but maturity is extremely important in any relationship. If I wanted to be with ANY of my exes, I would be. BUT I’m NOT. There’s no reason to feel insecure. If I’m with a man, I’m WITH only HIM.
Excellent presentation. “Commitment” is a character trait of a person of integrity. Integrity in a dating relationship is integral in moving toward TRUST. “Trust” is a necessary foundational point for marriage.
I dont have to remain loyal to any girl that isn't my wife.
If I have talked to her about marriage and we agree to go through with plans, than it is important to honor each other and God.

@@12Messenger Well, I'm 58, recently divorced, and dating. When the relationship becomes physical, it becomes exclusive.
Like I said, you're young and in that restless stage of life. Guys are different, I suppose. Even in my 20s, I was the one man at a time type if there was a physical side to the relationship.
I am very loyal and am really hoping to find someone who appreciates that. But I also need to have boundaries.
To my opinion, if that is still love in between us, we will trying hard to make each other happy rather than an excuse to drop the issues.
I know I was a little nervous at first because he kept mentioning his dead wife but now he's completely committed to me and he says he has my back and loves me more than he did his wife!

Here’s the reality: with time he will forget every irritating thing she did and she will become more wonderful and more loved within his heart, while experiencing real every day hassles with you. He will never stop mentioning her and with determination, you can be a safe space for him to do that so that he can continue to heal for the rest of his life. You’ve got to have your mind set to never let jealousy creep in and to be aware of the moments that it does and half fall in love with her yourself so that you make space for this massive loss in his life.

@@aena5995 maybe don’t place emphasis on being first but do place emphasis on being the best. The most mature, the most self-assured. To be self-assured, you got to spend time early in the morning and right before you fall asleep sending strong affirmations of self assurance to yourself. Write down your strengths and repeat is in a mantra as you are waking and as you are sleeping right before you do your meditation. What is your rising sign? Where is the ruler of your seventh house, what aspects is it getting? These will tell you when you will have a solid partner and you when you will be ready for one. After about age 15, we won’t be the first for anyone.

If you have a relationship with an ex partner. My answer would be no. If kids are involved only around each other for weddings or graduation. All other needs with kids you can do at separate times. Women or I don't even look at another man whether that other person is attractive or not.
Once again, real relevant relational road mapping for the once-had-a-relationship and believing the next can be better

You have helped me very much during a very trying time since my mom passed away in 2017.
The radical honesty has been revolutionary especially with a few men who are see.ingly quiet types of men.
Acts of service seem to be their firte thus far. My Dad did that for me like filling up my car with gas before a trip. These acts resonate with me so much in a man. When they make things easier for me it's a deep language to me.

Jonathan, I have been a huge fan of your work up until this video where you talk about transparency and you shared that you have "significant friendships" with two women you've been intimate with.
This was the problem in my last relationship.
I don't understand why men feel the need to do this.
Once a relationship ends - it should be over.

Meaning once a person has a new relationship they shouldn't maintain a close friendship with past people who they have been intimate with.
As obviously that will only bring unnecessary drama as in insecurities, doubts etc with the new partner or love interest

Been married 3 times. First marriage 8 years. Second marriage 10 years. Third marriage 25. I give it a good go, not for sure about doing it again. I’m a terrible picker and I’m starting a new life at 65. I’m 71 now and really don’t want to go through that anymore.
I do not understand staying friends with exes and refusing to let go of that attachment(s) without that meaning a person is intentionally keeping a roster. Seems like the exes are who a person is meant to go the distance with after all.
Being friendly to someone who was in our life is a healthy approach to inner peace.
