    I had one and loved it. The only thing I did not like was the seat on long trips. The shaft drive took a bit of getting used to but that proved to be no problem. My longest trip was 1000 miles in 3 days

    I had an XS750 as my first bike... in 2003. That engine noise takes me back. :)

      Likewise. I resurrected one from sitting in a garage, and rode it back and forth to work for a year.

    These old 3 cylinder/ 6 cylinder bikes sound so deep and throaty and sound similar to a old v6 turbo F1 at high RPM.

    Love that bike!!!! Going to get a bike again soon and was leaning towards a harley until I started looking at these vintage bikes and got to say I'm falling in love with this style of bike...really would like to do a cafe theme for sure. Really digging the affordability of these old school bikes!!!!

    I'm amazed, not the best audio but I think it actually sounds better than the Triumph 750 Triple.. more throaty sounding.

    My father in law is giving me one for free from the farm. Beautiful bike, no scratches or damage at all. It’ll be my first. Hopefully it’s good to me

      That shaft drive made these a joy on the freeway, I had a 78 and installed a quiksilver fairing. Blew the seals on the front shocks setting it down. Those better fairing snow we

    what was the compression on your bike? I just got one and its 120 ish on all 3 cyl.. my kick start is easier than my 2t dirt bike to start...it still starts easy

    So I just bought a 78 xs750s and I'm wondering why they it might have a hard time starting and won't idle. Idk how to adjust the carbs and it runs fine other than not idling and hard starts.

    • @peterwilson8039
      @peterwilson8039 4 месяца назад

      The easiest way to clean out gummy carbs is to run a couple of tanks of premium through it. The other thing to check is for rust inside your tank. That's a huge problem. The flakes of rust get into the fuel system and block jets, and stuff like that.

    I have a question, i just recently got a hold of one of these bikes, but i can't get it up to 5th gear. They go up to 5th gear right? or do they only go up to 4th? thank you!

    my dad had a 1982 Suzuki GS650 my uncle had a 1980 Kawasaki ltd750 and a friend of all of ours has a 1976 Honda cb750 and a 1980 Kawasaki kz1000 I had a 1988 Suzuki katana gsx600f and my older brother had a 1999 Suzuki gsxr750 our cousin has a 2013 Kawasaki ninja zx14r and a friend of ours has a 2010 Suzuki gsxr1000 and we all use to go out riding together my 1988 looks more like the Suzuki gsxr750 my brother had then my dads and it is closer to the year of my dads Suzuki GS650 I don't know if you know this but Suzuki used the same inline four cylinder in all the our bikes the only difference between them is my dads Suzuki GS650 and my Suzuki katana gsx600f have carbs and my brothers Suzuki gsxr750 and our friends Suzuki gsxr1000 are fuel injection and that gives a better take off and more low end power and they have less weight but it don't really matter because I could still get a Suzuki gsxr750 on the take off and out run it on the top end so it really depends on the rider and how much experience the rider has on a bike
