YESSSSSS. I've been wanting to start using cloud farms for a year now but the whole setup of RNDR was confusing and no clear video anywhere to walk me through the steps. THANK YOU BRILLY
Glad I could help! This one has been a long time coming for me. I have shouted it out for years about how useful its been for me but never got around to making a training video on it for others. Now it is here!
Quick note: ORBX file can be compressed into a zip file and that zip file can be uploaded instead. In some scenes it literally decreases the size of the file by half of it's size or more. That will mostly help if you live in a place with terrible upload speeds like myself. Hope that helps
12h render done in just an hour. For 6 euros. Yes please thank youuuuu! Awesome clear video. Side note : when first I tried uploading my scene, I hadn't yet bought credit. After 45mn upload (was a heavy scene), the page loaded...nothing. Like I never uploaded a thing to begin with. Tried again after feeding it money, of, the scene was saved. Coincidence ? I think not. This prevents you from buying exactly the amount you need for your render.
i was trading RNDR but this video shows where it is used. just a quick note : if you use this network a lot it a s better option to buy RNDR from an exchange, put them in your metamsk wallet, and connect your wallet to it and spend RNDR s directly. this video was a year ago and RNDR was 2 USD. now as of july 2024 it is about 6 USD. if i am judging correctly you should be spending 3 times the fee that you spent in this video. if thats a case you can consider using RNDR s directly. by the way RNDR is moving from ETH mainnet to SOL mainnet and it will become RENDER so buy the correct one :)
Great video, I'm going to have to give this a try with some upcoming projects! Question though, I usually render out AOVs as separate png files for each pass, any issues doing that?
Other Render Engines is locked for now but I will definitely be doing a follow up tutorial as other render engine support will be coming out in the future!
Mostly just applying roughness to a speculative material. But maybe I will do a tutorial on it because there is a lot of minor adjusting you can do to get the look exactly how you want it.
Dude this is awesome, but i'm constantly having issues when i upload. it seems it gets stuck on processing then fails. Any suggestions? I've baked down and cleaned up my scene so much, it works sometimes and doesn't most times. so frustrating cause when it works its incredible. thanks dude.
First Attempt fails - may be a shortcoming. I tried animating on and off the visibility of folders of different lighting, standard - then HDRI then none (folders of viewport/renderer animated to on/off). Only the last lighting state came through to the standalone render throughout . Odd case I know but be keen to know if animating viewport/render visibility is supported or not on the ORBX export.
If that does not work, try using a display tag to animate an objects visibility. Or maybe even better yet and Octane Object tag and turn on and off with the visibility.
@@Brilly_Yo already ahead of you there. Octane object tag is the only way to go, tested all the way through to RNDR - seems the C4D visibility on/off gets ignored entirely and looks fine inside C4D with Octane so its useful to know to avoid it.
I don't know. I'd rather invest the money in a local server. That workflow takes too much time for me. When i'm done at the end of the day, i want to click the render button. And not export Orbx files and check the website credits, estimate the price and what not. This is not a time saver for me
The time it saves during rendering far outweighs any time for the process. The process usually takes me less than 5 minutes. I went through it slow here for beginners. I have built my own server as well with 12 GPU's and RNDR is a much much faster and cost effective workflow which is why I shared it here.
Awesome Video, Brilly! Thanks for the Greyscalegorilla shout-out! ♥♥
You know GSG could never and will never leave my workflow! ♥♥♥
This video is going to blow up. Mark my words-timing couldn’t be better!
Agreed. Render Network is ready to launch

Wow! This is amazing. And you did a great job presenting it too. Keep it up mate!
Means a lot thanks!

Yes! I mention that in the tutorial 😉
@@Brilly_Yo oh my bad, glad you got that covered haha. Thanks for the tutorial
@@HussamEissaa No no! All great useful info. Thanks for sharing it in the chat
Thanks for that!!
You are welcome!
thank you very much for sharing this info
Of course, really happy I finally got to drop this one. Glad I could help!

Great to hear!
#WEARERNDR render network is crazy fast ^_^
💪 I’m definitely obsessed with it.
awwweessooommmee!!
Thanks! Gotta love RNDR

@@Orkun-8080 RNDR token and RNDR credits are not exactly the same. It’s best using credits when you the RNDR network. At least for now.
Hey, does this work if we use ACES as the colour space?
Yes, ACES workflow work on the Render Network
Great video, I'm going to have to give this a try with some upcoming projects! Question though, I usually render out AOVs as separate png files for each pass, any issues doing that?
No issue with that but I recommend switching from png to exr!
Great tutorial! can you please share the project file so we can learn some of your tricks? Thanks in advance!
Let me know what you are interested to learn and I would be happy to make a tutorial about it.
is it worth it accepting a job on the render network? are the additional costs of power consumption less than what you earn for the job?
Thank you - can you follow up with how to use other render engines, i seen the tab at 15:30 (if that's possible yet).
Other Render Engines is locked for now but I will definitely be doing a follow up tutorial as other render engine support will be coming out in the future!
This is going to be a stupid question David. But how do you go about creating your frosted glass look in C4D?
Mostly just applying roughness to a speculative material. But maybe I will do a tutorial on it because there is a lot of minor adjusting you can do to get the look exactly how you want it.
@@Brilly_Yo I would appreciate that very much sir.

I would definitely got to RNDR.x.io and hit the team up in the chat. They can definitely get your straightened out pretty quick.
oh my godd!
😍
Has anyone had success with the pyro + octane tags using this method to render? My cool explosion disappears in the Octane standalone.

Please increase screen DPI next time, UI too small!
Will do!

@@Brilly_Yo yeah.. I think i need to try it.
Download all should be a single ZIP file. @Otoy
hey, does this work with octane blender edition?
You get access to the Render Network through an Octane Subscription.
