- Gettysburg toy soldier shop full diorama your Little Round Top and store. Due to new mic please adjust volume when Mr John talks.
Gettysburg is great town for military history collectors, lots of good food too!
I swear John has the attitude, the smile, and the eyes of a 11 years old kid having the time of his life. ^^ Never stop playing and having fun people. You'll stay young.
He he, why do you think I never grew up? I'm autistic and have the mind of a 14 year old boy. I collect army men too.
*_If I told Mr.John I'd like to play Warhammer Fantasy on his table; and Mr. John shot me, I'd accept that._*
But 40k Oldschool Imperial Guard battles are permitted... only inter regimental and no filthy xenos.
Mr. John's shop is a cleverly disguised time machine. This video instantly took me back 50yrs.
Brilliant!!!
Thanks, good looking store, If I get over to the US I will try to visit Mr John.
I am a Wargamer in Australia good to see the hobby is popular in US.
Thanks again and all the best from down under to you guys in the US.

Thank you for watching
The folks at this store are simply awesome.
C'est un magnifique diorama, j'adore...👍
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing!
looks amazing , thx for video😊👌
These videos are awesome. They take me back to my childhood and traveling with my parents in upstate New York. Finding cool little shops like these in the quest for toy soldiers. I remember buying a cool set of lead soldiers at Fort Ticonderoga. They weren't intended to be toys, but I was 12 years old so.... I hope you make it to the Marx Toy Museum (if you haven't aready done it...I'm new). Subscribed
Toll dieses Geschäft. Wenn es so was bei uns geben würde, wäre ich Stammkunde.
OMG This is heaven... Love you John. Wish I was in Penn State again. Hope to come back and to shop there.
Thanks for the tour Bill.. I used to always go there when I was able to travel. And, love to see the old Marx ACW figures... brings back great memories for me under the Christmas tree!
You bet
What a great shop
I love this place, I try to go there every time I’m in town!!, ⚔️🗡👍
What an awsome shop thankyou
Fantastic wee shop.
Outstanding place!
Absolutely brilliant shop.
💓
Wow❤
Looks great !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for the detailed look at this diorama!
Thank you for watching
This is just pure hobby joy!
What a beautiful shop. Thank God I live far away or that would have been an expensive visit.
Great tour, thanks Bill
I enojyed that, especially seeing the navarone playset thta I got for xmas in my childhood, although I didnt realise it was in the US as well as here in UK
Many thanks
Great place i have been there several times over the years
GREAT VIDEO TOUR SIR,I HAVE THAT BROADSIDES GAME.TAKE CARE AND GOD BLESS
I noticed there were very few kits relating to popular culture franchises like Star Wars, Warhammer 40K, Gundam and Dungeons and Dragons.
I think this is a good thing though, stick to your guns. I like how this store is maintaining an old traditional toy soldier store style.
Those pop culture brands are well covered by other stores.
Neat!! I'm going to have to visit the next time I'm in Gettysburg! Reminds me of HMGS Historicon!
Vrey nice diorama looks to be a well stocked shop .
I need to dropby here the next time I visit The East Coast. We usually drive from DC to NYC and stay overnight @ Hershey. We pass through Gettysburg on the way so definitely need to visit.
Yes, this is exactly the kind of thing I enjoy. I'm autistic and have the mind of a 14 year old boy. I only get peanuts in my current job, most my spare cash goes on my army men collection. I used to think I was odd for still being into army men toys, until I had a YT channel. I have literally thousands by now, I'm getting some lead soldiers when I have the money, each figure costs £4.99!
I was in Gettysburg for Memorial Day this year and found this shop on Monday...closed! I was leaving that day so I missed out visiting. Regretted this ever since...
So sorry
@@BillsWargameWorld I will be returning again soon and then I will be sure to stop in. I am a toy soldier collector, so I am eager to check things out in person. Looking forward to it!
Very well done.Thx
I have "parts" of my Navarone set and soldiers from the 70s. I was that kid at Christmas jumping up and down!
Thank you so much for watching
@@BillsWargameWorld cool store
Wonderful video. I hope we had one of those here in Portugal.
I have to visit this treasure!!!!
Waterloo soldier set box...very cool!
Thanks for showing all the great stuff. These kind of shops are dangerous for me to enter, cause I end up spending $100+ on stuff I didn't realize I needed before I stepped in the shop.
Thank you for watching
I need to go there!....it's so hard anymore finding hobby shops which sell model kits...
of course I had the Navarone playset as a kid. Wish I had appreciated it more. Pretty sure I gave it away when I was a teen.
My father is English and a former professional model painter for airfix. I loved this vid.
How long did it take your dad to go pro ? I want to be a professional warhammer 40k painter. Im not bad, Not noob but around amature, I do keep improveing though.
Wow! Just WOW! ❤️
Please share !
Keven was this one better than avg video
It seems like you have a wide verity of soldiers, some of which I have myself. I would love to visit your shop, but I live over here in Europe, I'm English!!!!
Mr John has a huge store !
@@BillsWargameWorldYes, I like that!!!!
@@BillsWargameWorldI live in the UK and in my county we have a shop called Boyes. They used to sell these WWII dark green soldiers in bags of 100 for 99p. Lucky enough I bought many bags of them before they stopped selling them!
Great Video!
I haven't seen John in a while; his son has been covering the store lately when I've been there
it's my dream having something like this someday./ Greetings from Belgium.
You mean shop or miniatures ? :D :)
@@tomassmolen1260 miniatures with some kind of gettysburg battlefield

Col. Strong Vincent
Very nice! Do you know if they carry any 15 mm figures?
I still have my Marx soldiers!
Are talking about the Union officer Vincent Strong who was killed in Little Roundtop
Thank you !
@@BillsWargameWorld Actually the name was Colonel Strong Vincent, not Vincent Strong
Speak up sonny ! Not the man holding the camera. The owner. Looks cool but im a warhammer 40k fan myself :D
We working on it
He should sell a diorama portraying Lee in the hospital tent being tested for cocaine after Pickett's "charge"...
Any 1/144 sets?
What scale are these soldiers
54mm the true war game scale
Need to Shade is figs.
These dioramas are set up and taken down every month or so.
Says he is going to go slow, so he blows past the board games and models.
I am sorry
Desde España europa, que envidia me dais, aquí ni llegan las miniatures de 1/72,es la españa SÁNCHISTA,que nada llega,
might be useful to gget the guy to speak into the mic.
