Update! It was my virus protection software causing EAC to crash my pc. I uninstalled MalwarBytes and Aura. After uninstalling and restarting my pc, vr chat finally worked. Hope this helps!

Was having the same issue, turned out to be my antivirus? For any users who happen upon this. I used to use Kapersky till they forcefully switched users to a new AV called UltraAV. Since the switch happened I've been having this problem. The solution that fixed it for me is that I added EOS and VRChat applications to the AV's whitelist. I also tried the admin trick too, so I'm not exactly sure which fixed it!
