i have updated the amd drivers on my ubuntu system just for the davinci resolve support,, lets see if I can be able to play the davinci resolve editor or not

I mean if you're not doing any GPU intensive work then it barely consumes any power. Just remove the power plug that is attached in GPU, otherwise ot will keep running with the minimal power consumption.
@@LinuxH2O want to play cyberpunk. For some reason my dedicated gpu dosent support latest dx12. But vulken runs well. So wanted to try it on Linux. Install with the 20.04 Linux amd drivers. But the game won’t launch with the dedicated gpu. Hope this works

Im losing my shit because a dedicated hacker kid/asshole is determined to re-configure all the wormholes I could block using HiveOS mining OS for my pathetic 31mh/s r9 390gpu. Would use windows, but this old card does half the mh/s if not linux OS. Another day spent on learning how to run a miner. Just to learn what else I need to "setup", which is OpenCL driver and maybe after that something else. Today I realized I might be a person who would beat up a child if I could catch that person and it would turn out to be a kid.
Try the office driver, also see if the opencl supports and your card gets detected my the miner. Checkout Davinci resolve video on the channel I think 🤔 I have showed how to install it, not sure though.

Unfortunately, MESA drivers do not support Vulkan or OpenCL for the early GCN cards. Just another issue I have with Linux and their "just works"

Make sure you are using Linux kernel 5.4 or above, the drivers come with it by default.

You have to install Nvidia's proprietary drivers. Should do the magic ✨.

Don't know man, 11 watts seems pretty low to me, that's like an LED bulb.

You can check for the GPU, if it is getting detected.
If it is then the problem is with the game execution and not with the GPU or its drivers.
