I have always liked John David. Of course I don't know him personally, so I can't be certain, but he seems like a wonderful guy. I read him as being a responsible, hardworking, caring brother to his 16 younger siblings and his 20+ nieces and nephews. He also appears not to care one single bit about his public image or getting screen time. He just works very hard and takes care of his family. Oh and he's a pilot. That's freakin' awesome!

I’ve always liked John David. He has always seemed like a very stand up guy. And his love for his wife seems so pure.
They are the only marriage I think are truly in love since they did get married when they where older than the others who are trying to leave their dad's control and be able to do the front hugging in the bed the way Katie say's it

I won’t invite my brother or his girlfriend to family gatherings because of her past and my brother’s acceptance of it. I won’t have my children, grandchildren or greats exposed to them even if they are family. What a cop out!

Not only does she have a career, but she has short hair. I don't have a problem with long hair, but I think it's interesting that she is the only one with shorter hair, and that they allowed their son to marry someone with shorter hair. Does she wear pants or dresses?

In regards to the lost boys, you also have to remember that these boys were raised by their sisters who were abused by their big brother. So to them he basically attracted their mothers and I don’t believe that they can ever forgive Josh for what he did to them.

They knew about that, as he said at 0:10 "It was a little more of a shock then the first stuff coming" He were referring to when Ashely Madison was hacked and it was found that Josh had an actively used account. Which I believe was in 2015 just a short time after the public found out about what Josh had done to his sisters which is why some people think the sibling's are only referring to that, I'm guessing. All though I am sure for some of the siblings it was a combination of the two.

Yes, with the Ashley Madison scandal Josh was no longer a kid that made a mistake. He is now demonstrating a pattern of disrespect towards women and his family.

I have such mixed feelings on poor Anna. She's damned if she continues to stay with Josh. She's damned if she leaves him. She's certainly a tragic figure.

I also feel for Anna. She’s such a good person and wife. Believe me when I say, no one would want to be in her situation right now. It’s more than shocking to the other spouse to learn of this. Exactly right, Anna should be able to get a divorce and still live in that house and be supported by the Duggar parents. She then should be allowed to court other men if that’s her choice. The last thing Anna should have to worry about is how she’s going to put a roof over her children’s head and food on the table. That’s the very least Jb and Michelle can do.

I couldn’t say the reason that Josh is like this is because he wasn’t allowed to be a normal kid. My ex husband is just as sick as josh and he had a normal childhood, same with 2 of my uncles. Who knows the root cause?
I met John David a few years back and he's a very nice young man.

I think the brothers are in a difficult position and doing the best they can. We don’t know everything that is going on.
In the group pics it looks as if Jill and Derick have been childless at the weddings. They seem to be protecting their children from the rest of the Duggar family by not bringing them - smart and good choice!
With that being said, Jim Bob and Michelle should take a note from John David’s note book. But, JB and, Michelle will never get it.
I love John David he seems the most normal (if you can call these people normal). Josh has always! given me the creeps even before we knew all his grossness. Have to say Katie your make up is gourgous today!

I believe that Josh disgraced his family. Especially his younger brothers who always looked up to him. He is very toxic.
Also josh married young and moved out when the boys were very young. John david really watched and helped them grow up

I don't think Josh, knowing what he did to his sisters, should ever be allowed around his children unsupervised and he should definitely not be holding the baby. Anna needs to protect her kids and his parents should have made sure that their son never ever had a chance to reoffend. I very hope there are alarms I'm the girls room if he were to ever step foot in there at night while Anna is sleeping.
Josh just stands out odd and awkward in the brothers group picture. Picture would of been better off without him.
I think, given the chance, Josh would do it again. You can’t pray that behavior out of a person. And the fact that it started so early, no therapy, barely a slap on the hand, he’s probably dying inside to repeat those behaviors! Some people really do go to great lengths to hide their weight. I know it may seem silly but people can really hate the way they look after gaining weight and not want to be in pictures. I am bigger and absolutely hate taking pictures and looking at myself in pictures. So she very well could be feeling very sensitive about the way she looks.
Give her a break! She’s had six children.
I can't stand Josh, but IMO I don't think the photographer stuck him on the end on purpose. Could be just how they all gathered for the pic.

I feel that the lost boys were like preteens when all this came out about their oldest brother & maybe did not understand it all.. Now that they are older & understanding what it all means, they have different feelings towards him. I'm also wondering if maybe something has happened between the oldest brother that is getting ready to hit the fan that the family knows about, yet we don't & maybe that is why Anna could be ashamed to let the public know that she is going to have #7.. My opinion is that John David is the role model now to the boys. I also think he might live a more relaxed life style. He seems like he really loves Abbey and she and Grace/future kids more freedom and choices then what we grew up with. I might be wrong, but I feel like doesn't want to live his adult life just like his childhood life.

When you mentioned Josh trying to make his way back onto the show, my heart dropped. It scares me to think of that, for the sake of the victims still healing from the past and the children in their family.

The 2 strikes against josh are what the public knows. How many other offenses has he gotten away with? I'm sure he was forced to ask for forgiveness and Mom and Pop forced the others to give their forgiveness. I think they just tolerate him because it's "good for the image". Yet they ban Jill and Derrick for their 'sins'. I will never understand their way of thinking!
Despite their upbringing being so sheltered and Josh not learning "boundaries" and whatnot, I still put the blame on him for all he did. I would think as indoctrinated into the Bible and scriptures, it would be pretty clear that touching your sister in inappropriate ways would be considered sinful to the utmost degree. He was a teenager, he knew what he was doing was wrong. If you have to hide, sneak, and fear "getting caught", then you know what you're doing is wrong. I've raised 3 of my own, they know what's right and wrong.
Perhaps if Josh had gotten proper counseling after the original situation with the girls, he would not have made subsequent"mistakes". After the original incident, the fault lies 100%with the parents.
I agree a bit part of the problem lies with the parents, however Josh was competent enough to know right from wrong. The blame is on him. He chose to do wrong.
@@faith.tew92 I am not disagreeing. Josh obviously knew he had done wrong when he went to his parents and confessed. But he was only 14 or 15( again, not excusing him). IF his parents had gotten him real professional help at that time, there is a possibility that he would not have wronged his wife, mistreated sex workers, and basically lied to everyone. Although I don't have much sympathy for him, his life and other lives that he touched might have been much improved if he had been given appropriate and timely therapy.
This was such a heart breaking episode.. I think every word everyone of those kids said was sincere. “I don’t want to be like you anymore” truly , my heart goes out to them

I want err on the side of caution with Anna and her "hiding something". Chances are, she is in fact pregnant. HOWEVER, I know that certain antidepressants and mood regulating medications can change your body very rapidly. What if she's taking care and ownership of her mental health and takes medication that causes weight gain? She seems to be carrying this weight very differently than she did with her pregnancies, her face looks so different than it has with pregnancies. I was put on medication where I was up to 168 lbs, when my average weight was around 124. At 5'0", it didn't have a lot of places to settle, so my appearance changed. I ALWAYS felt a need to "hide" in photos back then bc it was a lot to deal with and seemed to be happening very quickly. Since being off those meds, I am down to 130 lbs, and feel more recognizable when I look in the mirror.
That’s a good point and for any normal family that’d be a possibility but for these people, there’s no way she saw a real therapist who prescribed her meds and she decided to actually take them. Remember, they think that they can solve everything through the lord and wouldn’t typically take such a logical or mainstream approach.
I think Anna is pregnant. She looked pregnant in the latest special on TLC. There was one shot in there where u caught a glimpse of her stomach she looked expecting.
JD's comment at the beginning of this video is the most truthful and straightforward thing to come out of a Duggar's mouth.
Nothing shames Josh, he has no skin on his face no matter if his family calls him out on his sins. This man has no end to his deviant behavior.

They were all angry the difference is it is acceptable for the guys to express it while the girls (even those he molested) are expected, if not legally obligated to "stay sweet."

I hope Anna never let's him watch the kids unsupervised. John David and Joe seem to be the kindest and sweetest and most stand-up guys. They seem to be living husbands and fathers.

Well you can forgive but not forget
Now that Josh is in prison, I don't think his siblings will ever forgive him for inappropriately touching his sisters, cheating on his wife, being caught with inappropriate content, etc. Josh's actions were so horrifying. I think that's why John-David and Joseph both said they don't want to be like Josh anymore and are very angry with him. I'm sure all the younger brothers (from Josiah all the way down to Jackson) are also very angry with Josh and want nothing to do with him.
She is 100% pregnant. I worry there is something wrong with the baby and they are going to pretend she was never pregnant.

Josh's actions are unforgivable. I have a hard time justifying his actions because he wasn't "educated enough". He definitely knew right from wrong and continued to display his inappropriate actions as an adult (as you mentioned). So frustrating that TLC would allow any sorts of mentions of Josh on the show or even ever consider his return. Sick.

The parents weren't supposed to be on the show very much. Slowly they have brought them back.
John David is also educated. Educated as a first responder. He’s the most respectable one whom anyone can rely on. And luckily his wife is educated too as a nurse

I feel bad for the family because I'm sure growing up the siblings were close likebest friends, from watching them on tv and other families with similar beliefs you realize having siblings are these kids only friends. So I'm sure it was heartbreaking to see their best friend grow up into someone they can't stand or want nothing to do with.
Hes become a stain on the most of the family. Issue is the inlaws who grew up in a healthy family wont have a bar of it. The cheating on anna shocked me the most as hes an adult.. made me realise how narcissistic he is and anna such a loving good forgiving church wife, co dependent.

If it is weight gain I can see hiding it. She has been in a cult that values women staying ‘thin’ and ‘attractive’ and puts the blame on the women for men acting poorly. If she gained weight it could feel like a shame for her that she doesn’t look the way she thinks is ‘valuable’ . And that might mean she feels blame that her appearance could make josh reoffend.

They probably didn’t include josh as a groomsman because TLC probably paid for the wedding to film it and they can’t air josh. So it’s easier that he’s not in the footage
have you considered that Anna may be pregnant with a baby who might have a difference? This might be something she doesn't want judged by the media, at least not yet. She may be having a difficult or risky pregnancy. If there is a problem, they will not abort- and not everyone will agree with their decisions. It could be anything.
My concern is Josh being around his own kids..

Seriously though, John David is a police officer, and would be more likely to detest Josh for what he did to the sisters, not to mention the latest allegations. He seems like an upstanding guy who has never been one to harp endlessly on the familiar Duggar mantra of "Oh look at us aren't we wonderful Christians because we do..." As for the younger Duggar boys, by the time they all came into the world, Josh was much older and within a couple of years had met and married Anna and moved out of the house, then went on to his position in Washington where he hypocritically espoused family values. It would make sense that the younger boys do not have a close relationship with him, whereas with John David, he has been a part of their lives since day one and seems to have played the role of big brother admirably. I think of all the boys, he's the one I actually respect.

I think these kids feel betrayed over the parents actions over the past decade. The girls should feel betrayed how their parents handled the molestation

I think the Duggar kids do not like Josh at all. I'm sure Jim Bob & Michele are the only ones who have a sliver of faith in him. If it were up to the kids I think they wouldn't have him around at all, but Jim Bob & Michele are all about how it looks & they want to perceived as one big happy family. Pathetic if you ask me.
