      I like her too. She's a gr8 actress, evn as a senior. She's very opinionated and outspoken. She's pretty much a loner. Still incredibly beautiful andca terrific figure, especially for her age. She didn't hav a good relationship with Henry. He criticized her acting, not a real morale booster. I love Jeff. Good actor. Nice mellow guy. Gr8 family values. This was a gr8 flick. Thx for presenting.

    Home- Electric horseman - The China Syndtome - On golden Pond -The Dollmaker - California Suite -she marched to a different drum - followed her beliefs - it wasnt about
    Money or celebrity - if so why would she retire for over 10 years ?. She Came back &won a tony on broadway in 2005 - sure she was hated
    For her stance on Vietnam -but we all saw how well that turned out didnt we !!! - also she was very vocal & protested against
    The Iraqi invasion in 2003 - 35 years later - & again sadly we all really saw how well that turned out too -- WMD s anyone find them yet ? She took the blows & did her way -Good for her - would you rather have The likes of Scarlet Johannsen or
    Julia Marguiles or Cameron Diaz - or Uma Thurmond ??one dimensional barely 2nd rate non entities making one insipid movie
    After another - No Jane was very good -look at Stanly & Iris you felt the passion that she wanted to help so -like Faye Dunaway
    & Julie Christie she was magical on the screen - you couldnt take your eyes off her !!

    • @ilovemovies725
      @ilovemovies725 2 месяца назад

      I love Fonda but to say she ruled the 80's ( at least in pure cinematic terms) is a bit far-fetched, unless we're talking about her influence on health through her triumphant workout cassettes and in the political field, both intertwined, her help in "ushering in" the idea of a successful woman past 40 (but then, Barbra Streisand was just as successful). She only did 6 movies and a mini-series (the 7th film's release was postponed until the start of 1990 and was actually her last for 15 years, much to my chagrin). I think the advent of Meryl Streep and other successful newcomers (albeit not as long-lasting as Streep in towering stature) could be viewed as those girls ruling the 80's (Field, Lange, Midler for pure box office reasons, Cher, Close, Griffith, those were the highly-sought after actresses even if Fonda retained her status as a star, of course).

    I barely remember this movie from back when I was a little bit too young in my head to fully understand it. I wasn't into thrillers. Old enough, but still too innocent to sleep around or "shack up". Never could understand why she was talking to the cat. I mean I can see her being upset and talking to the dead body, but why put a phone, household rubber gloves and an alcohol bottle in the dishwasher. That is obviously more suspicious than wiping everything down so it has no fingerprints.

    I think I saw once a different version of the same movie, a bit more put as comedy and as a monologue put by Jane Fonda, more daylight scenes..more driving scenes maybe... or I don't remember all those dialogues with the guys - it had a happy ending I believe...and I think there wasn't another woman involved... so...the district where it happened - where she woke up was more often and different as well from above displayed, I thought it was some spot at San Diego, at an early time epoch... but the music was a s well cheerful and not Classic like here in the end...kind of jazzy etc This seems to follow up the KLUTE movie...as well in the sinister mood; it might have to do with Hitchcock, or the London UK wherefrom I watch it now, while those days from San Diego... at the library... Here it becomes a 39 step movie, very sinister and with a lot of Schoenberg music Classic music...
