If u have that problem after you get the horse to the stables, when you get of the horse and can't get back up, just whistle for it, get on stable on foot. Horse will follow. Get out again, save the game without dismount. Now load the game and enjoy ur new horse.
I also found a simple way if u get stuck and can't remount after dismounting, just save the game while mounted and then dismount, then reload the save and it should correct itself like it did for me.
Just got back to red dead. Never knew about this. Tricky to keep track of the horse but well worth it. For me this horse is one of the best, so getting it this early is brilliant. Nice one bud.
I find it easier to jump on it by using Eagle Eye when I get close. Personally, I like the MFTs better than Arabians. Arabians can be harder to control especially when spooked or when you’re being shot at and will almost instantly buck you off when being chased by predators. I can easily walk around gators in the Bayou with the MFT and they’re much easier to calm down.
See I don't find the Arabians to be any more or less brave than any other horse. I've been able to keep Arabians calm and put them RIGHT BESIDE cougars and panthers, where bigger horses threw me off. This is the reason I don't like the Fox Trottter, I feel like it's always bucking me off. But any horse you bond to level 4 should be a lot better to control than a newly broken horse. And none of them like snakes, gators, bears etc. Their prey animals so this makes sense. I've seen Hungarians and Ardennes buck me off and run away screaming, but they do better in gunfire.
@@brindlebucker4741 I’ve probably just gotten used to the male silver dapple pinto (St. Denis horse glitch - V1.0). Wolves and cougars can get real close and literally walk circles around us before it eventually bucks me off. It can also get close to gators and snakes (you would barely notice that it got spooked by a snake when riding fast). Even the male rose gray bae Arabian can stay calm way longer than the wild white Arabia when ambushed by predators. But yeah, I do remember the female silver dapple pinto from the Albert Mason mission. I can’t take that one while predator hunting.

I rode all 4 of the arabians to lv 4 bonding in ch2 and in chapter 3 I picked up the turkoman. My experience with the turkoman has been identical to the previous 4. Still runs away from predators all the same, but it gets better with the bonding level. In most cases, it's preferable to me for the horse to run away anyways as I don't want him hurt. I'd rather die than have the horse die, obviously
09/16/23 works! I went through the exact process, had to chase her for 15 minutes until she run into the bridge and stopped for a few seconds. What a stunning, brave and overall great horse! Got a compliment on it from the first stranger❤
I think the horse might have a default path but different things can change where it's going (kind of like with npcs). If a predator or snake shows up, horse runs in another direction (similarly an npc might run away if you shoot someone nearby. ). Or possibly an obstacle on the path rerouted it, like an npc. I have crashed into npcs after which they start heading back in the direction they came from. Or it's something else all together.
Hello, I did the method, but I would like to add an important piece of information! After we brought it in and took it out of the barn, we had to save one so that we could use it to our full extent, because until I saved it, when I got off, I couldn't sit up, but this was fixed by saving it.
Man im just gonna get a chestnut Arabian, I tracked that thing across the map and it still evaded me, perhaps I wasn’t fast enough, even if I did find it I was on a Hungarian halfbred so I doubt I would’ve caught up to it
I usually just walk up on the chestnut Arabian. Not on a horse. That Arabian will respond, no worries. Just try the soft approach if you're not having any luck.
Did the big long chase like this, but without tracking. I kept it in view. Great tip on the tracking though. Would make it much easier. It bucked me once, I ran into it 3 times and in the end, it stopped running. It had run out of stamina and had nothing left. Got it close to Bethel and brought it down to the tracks to get it to level 1 bonding. To add, mine has a black with silver tip mane and tail. Is that common?
I've never been able to get this horse. This is a really tricky method to accomplish to even be able to start hunting for the horse after Albert Mason. Heck, I can't even figure out how to jump a horse over the broken bridge for Horseman 9 challenge. I've pressed the jump button with no luck. I even tried just seeing if the horse will jump across on it's own but it doesn't. The Missouri Fox Trotter and the Broken Bridge are both out of my league for now.
With the broken bridge, try running on the far right side of the bridge and just as you reach the point where you think you should jump, angle the horse back towards the middle.
What I don't understand is why the Devs cap the limit of horses you can own to 4 and lock some of the best horses for the end game? What's the point of getting a horse when the game is already over?
4 horses is stupid. I had the 4 arabians all lv 4 bonding by the end of chapter 2. In chapter 3 I replaced the weakest arabian with the turkoman, and I'm about to make my first attempt at this foxtrotter. I tried the dead horse glitch for about an hour and it wasn't working for me.
I know this is a year ago, but there's a reason for that. Little challenges, and stuff that you can fill out by studying the horses etc is there not just for the main story of the game but also after the story. The game is never truly "over". That's why we can play the game after the story ends, and run around the entire map and do stuff as John. Finish what Arthur started. A couple of the best horses that are locked are basically the "rewards" for you finishing the story, that's what i keep thinking at least.

No, if you've already done it, that's it. I think a lot of people play the game multiple times (like me). This is a mission that can be done early in Chapter 2. So, you could start a new game and quickly get to this point. Ride over towards Ft Riggs to get Albert's first mission and the others should spawn in quick succession as you do them. Apart from that, you have to wait until the Amber Champagne MFT is available in Scarlett Meadows stable Chapter... 4? Same horse, different coat.
Can confirm it still works as of May 29 2023, it just took three attempts and a ridiculously long time. I also had to use an Arabian because it was the only thing fast and nimble enough to keep up with the MFT so I could jump to it.
I just got the horse by doing this in chapter 4 and when I get off the horse I can’t get back on. Even after going to the stable and putting a saddle on it I can’t get back on if I get off. Edit: I restarted the game and now I can mount her
it doesnt work anymore, the horse trail disappears so fast that its literally impossible to keep track of it. you would have to redo the tracking in every third second and that might not be fast enough
Omfg, I just spent 3 hours getting every melee weapon, doing missions etc. And the horse didn't spawn. Forgot to save before, so now I either continue without horse, or redo everything. I'm probably gonna take my life now.
I finally got it after 20 attempts I put the wagon on their way and failed the mission I started to track the horse and run towards mason during the photoshoot and I saw those horses running at the cutscene after that I head to the direction they went and found the horse
I know this is a few weeks back, but if you've been to the stable with it, you should be able to whistle for it, and it will follow you. Go back to the stable on foot or steal a horse, and the MFT will follow you all the way there. Saddle a different horse and leave stable. Go back, resaddle MFT and try it again.

I never bothered with this method since its a time sink to even get to that part of the albert mission. I just got the silver dapple mft a few hours ago at moonstone pond. I killed the npc woman 12 times before the mft spawned alive. Whole thing took me less than 2 minutes since she keeps respawning back to back. I used to think the dark bay turk u can steal from the braithwaites was the sexiest horse in the game, before I got this one. Named mine white whiskey
I've tried and tried this method but it just doesn't work for me. The horses despawn as soon as the cutscene starts (I've actually seen them just vanish). I actually prefer the champagne MFT but of course you can't get that until chapter 4 I think? Feel better soon!
Boah I love doing this mission. Albert Mason is one of my top favorite NPCs. Also I have a question because I'm very confused. Has anyone else ever gotten a male MFT SDP from Arcadia For Amateurs III? Somehow when I caught it, it was a male and I'm confused because it's usually a female but happy to finally have a male version.
2/29/24 Today on my 3rd game play of this game it still definitely does work!!!! It will Deffently Drive you Crazy I had Many Moments I lost its Track, I lost it or it Bucked me off I must have reloaded about 15 to 20 times with the fails once a tree got in the way and buck me off of it But soo Satisfying!!! too tame it!!! Run too the stable slow and stedyy so you dont crash into anything kicking you off the hourse then save!!! Right after that funny i ment the nice women who had the MFT and drove her back home!!! While others kill her too get her hourse i was so satisfied going the right way obtaining it!!!
I have never been a fan of this horse to flashy for my taste also extremely skittish I like the amber champagne but it is skittish as well I like the andalusians braver and not as flashy
I agree, the black arabian stolen in St.Denis is a far superior horse over the Barbies Ranch house pinto. Horse bravery is a random ocurrence, I prefer to hunt cougars on the ground avoiding the surprise attacks while riding.
Yeah, you can get every horse to be brave, and every horse will be a coward. It's all down to circumstances. For me, health is a more important stat than speed or stamina, and the black Arabian has the MFT beat there.
Trying on pc and as soon as I go to track them after the cut scene the tracking just stops and disappears. Annoying!!

I just did this today, 6/10/24, sometimes it's hard to track on steep inclines, but it still works.

I got it first try took it to the stable got saddle and upgrades, got to camp and got off now I can’t get back on…

I thought they patched that coz when I kill her she doesn't respawn.

What I did was putting the wagon with four horse to slow down the horse and enter as fast as possible dead eye to not lose the track
8.20.23 still works one thing that helps after the photo before talking to mason kill all other horses. Guarantees the right tracks

Seems like this is too much of a hassle to get this horse. I currently have all 4 Arabians and I'm satisfied.

The Arabians are small and skittish - been bucked far too many times to use them. You ride what you want, though
