Im not being critical, I am actually asking.....what was the purpose of spawning the second Turkoman? So as to not alter the quest? Risk failing? Get full price? So you can saddle it at camp? I dont understand. FYI, just started 1st play through of Ch. 3 Rather enjoying this game.

Is there not a way to do it without reloading a save? I could’ve sworn there was a method without having to reload. Also, not sure if you mentioned it or not (I admittedly skipped parts, as im looking while streaming), but this is the only way to get a Male white Arabian. I doubt it matters at all stat-wise, but it’s cool nonetheless. I wonder if the sex of a horse matters in real life, in regards to performance. I’m gonna have to google that later. Adios, Partner!

The horse is the best horse in the game, for a LOT of reasons. Being less skittish is just one. Luckily the other Tennessee Walkers are close. Those supposed "stats" that Rockstar created, are worthless.

Here's how I got it, I saved just after sparing the st. Denis mayor's buddy. When I loaded the game, head to saloon, antagonize a random lady to have her slap the hat off your head. Go inside the guy was sitting there. I was also wearing a jacket.

I had to use hex codes to add Johns Classic hat to Arthur and the Gamblers hat from Tumbleweed, and Whitemore Outfit, to bad you cant have the cut content outfitd the pirate outfit looked so cool.

Oh snap. I just finished gambler 10 without redoing the drunk preacher mission. All the challenges except the rest of the bandit challenges. Next up, is the horse fence bandit challenge, in chapter 3. I don't want to go to chapter 3. UGH!!!!!!!

It worked 100% as of 05/12/24. I managed to grab my second Cattleman revolver from a man looting a dead woman beside a wagon somewhere. I used the man caught in a bear trap near Annesburg, to get my free Volcanic pistol. Also you can grab a second sawn off shotgun. if you go to the small saloon in Saint Denis and antagonize the bartender using your binoculars on him :)

if the 3rd horse stops following you can tell it to flee, then calm it immediately and tell it to follow if youre on your main horse. then the one you commanded to follow will become your new temp horse. then tell the deregistered temp horse to follow to switch the temp horse between the 2nd and 3rd horse

Surprisingly, this still works, although you just have to feed it a LOT of food, I almost ran out when I was fully stocked, but very good method

Still works in December 2024. If you hit "retry from checkpoint" if you failed like me to lead the Arabian out of the stable you'll have two Turkoman standing in the box. In that case one of the horses will already be your temporary horse.

So l have beaten all challenges except bandit,herbalist and survivalist. 6/9 complete Bandit is at challenge 4. Herbalist at challenge 8. Didn’t even touch survivalist because of l’m trying to do as minimal of the story missions. I even saved gambler challenge 10 for the replay “who is not without sin” and beat it on that same mission but it did not pop up. Any further updates on my process and l will update. I am also on the 1.00 version of rdr2. So no updates.

I try to do this but it gives me the wrong save file and I deleted all my other save files but it keeps giving me arthur with 40 dollars while mine as 1700 and I’m on the same social club account and PlayStation account

Unless you do something completely reckless and you keep the Perlino fit, well fed and healthy, it's a very hard horse to kill. That for me makes it one of the best horses in the game. Speed is overrated IMO.

It just took me like 5 hours but this still works ( I tried 3 main methods but definitely spent a good 4 hours doing this one and it just randomly worked on a new save after giving up on all 3 I could find)

I'm pretty sure it has been patched now, at least on PC. You can still get her to run away, but when she runs away she won't spawn with a horse and immediately after that it spawns another one with a dead horse. The glich was that she becomes a witness and then the horse will become just a normal horse, but at least on PC when she becomes a witness the horse won't spawn. If you are on PC don't waste your time on this anymore. Anyways you could just install a trainer and spawn the horse if you want it early.

If you want help shooting get off your MOVING HORSE 😅 standing still makes it a lot easier

Not sure if it would help, but one time I went there with the executioner hood on. I prefer that over a bandana that cover the least distinctive facial feature. I was able to enter the city of blackwater and nobody knew I was there

As Hyperborean says below, I camped and slept til noon twice and an Overo spawned. Caught her and 4 bonded over the next few days. Quite a brave horse. Stood up to packs of wolves and a very feisty cougar. The only issue is her size - compared to Buell she is a tiny mule. I enjoyed the ride, but sold her off.
