So true. I started watching when I saw the hoof gp. From then on went to watching everyone else. Nate has a very kind hand and a kind voice. Love it!! Nate does a great job and would recommend him for any farm.
Just want to say how much i appreciate that you dont include annoying music, unnecessary intros but still very informative and knowing when to add anecdotes.
I really have to say that out of all hoof care channels yours is the best. You get to the point, say what needs to be said and nothing more, and show the whole process. I really appreciate it
RUclips tried to recommend another trimmer and I was like, "Ew, no." Lol, your voice is amazing and honestly... its what keeps me coming back. So soothing 😌
We had Cebu cattle in South America and our Granddaddy was a Vet he did all the work, your work reminds me of his very thorough and neat, never rushed always found the cause. Glad I found your Channel.
Nate is a natural teacher; he explains why something happens to a cow’s hoof and then he shows and explains how to treat it. You can’t ask for better than that; the man knows his business and he would be someone you’d want to apprentice with.
This poor cow has suffered. So glad there are trimmers like you to care for them. Thin blade knives are the best ! Most of my kitchen knives I have had for 40 years!
Ì am not a farmer or hoof trimmer but started watching these trims from every you tube videos I could find. I moved out on my own after 33yrs of marriage and the one thing that helped was watching these videos. Helping my anxiety was huge. Thank you all.

You’re like a neurosurgeon with the precise knife work! I’ve hardly ever seen a nick in the corium. The videos seem higher res now? Really interesting to see all of the detail in the zoomed-in shots. Thanks for the great videos!
@@mikebooth5942 that’s what I said the first time. And that was the HoofGP. Now I’ve found Nate and others and I’ve watched dozens! So in awe and happy for the cows.
Your videos are so relaxing after a stressful day working in vet med and I really like how you show the cows just living life. I have next to no experience with farm animals so its a pleasure to see it.
You truly do take good care of the girls. I know that they are happy to see you coming. A bit of a pedi, some aspirin for abscesses and cuts, Who wouldn't want the "Nate Treatment"!! Good job, as usual!
Trimming around that lesion really showed what the hook at the end of your knife does. You were able to get right up against the lesion without hitting it. Love your videos!!!
These are so nauseating yet extremely satisfying at the same time. These ungulates must end up feeling tons better after getting their hooves trimmed or getting a 1/4th inch hole flushed out. You do great work.
Thanks Nate! I rally love your quiet and gentle way about your videos and your narration. No need for lots of yakking and random music. cool video with great visualization of that lesion! Super clear!
Nate I love that you’re a no nonsense man and get right into the good stuff! Also sad you had to take off so much hoof but boy was it satisfying. I’m sure she healed up well!!!
Amazing work again, Nate. That looked like it must have been excruciating as it formed, glad to know people who do patient and careful work are out there. As a person who works with animals, I commonly see owners who show little to no care for their own personal pets, let alone cattle or other farm friends. It is always easier not to care, I'm happy to see you always do.
What a good video for showing skilled knife work! Very satisfying for the "civilian" to watch, and the cow seems to appreciate it, too. She gave that little glance back to say, "Feels good, Nate," before she sauntered off.
I keep thinking it'd be lovely to raise cows, but I feel like I'd always be worrying about sole separations and white line issues like this. This is what they call separation anxiety, right?
Love what I am learning. Can you please take a second and explain the discolorations, malformations of the non-lesioned claw? I often cannot tell which one is lesioned until you start working on it. Thanks.
I have a feeling Nate can see things that we can't with the camera resolution. I know when he zooms in tight, I can suddenly see a very clear difference between the corium and the horn that I can't see from the wider angle. I also suspect seeing the cow walk and _smelling_ when something is rotten helps to identify a problem.
I'm always confused when someone doubts something you do. They're probably not a hoof trimmer and if they are, they could probably stand to learn something from you, not the other way around.
People are so quick to question and doubt professionals just because they're on youtube, yet you have a fraud and a billionare who cant even upkeep his own microsoft bullshit playing doctor and people eat up their bs no questions.
@NatetheHoofGuy I really enjoy watching you, The Midwestern Hoof Trimmer, and The Hoof GP...I just really appreciate what you gentlemen are doing...thanks for posting these videos!!!
Okay, don't know how many times I thought this while watching it..""Oohh Poor Baby"..... That looks painful.....Nate, I really like watching how tender and careful you are with these big Babies.....🤗❤️

How he makes sure the other hoof is clean to add the block. I swear I have OCD because I cringe when the good hoof is partially dirty when a block is put on. I let out the biggest sigh of content. Perfection at its best. ( I think I maybe going crazy hahahaha). OHH and I will put a P.S. here. How about a quick selfie with one of your favorite Moo Moo so we can see the man of the hour !!
Love the FF please use it more often. I don't watch any other hoof trimmers. Your manual skill combined with your voice overs AND your voice make an unbeatable combination!!!

Hello from Brazil! I'm not a famer or a hoof trimmer but I love your voice! That, along with your careful work make watching your videos something very relaxing. They help me with my insomnia.
Oddly enough, your comment about the knife being in the best condition when it is thin like this reminded me of ballet shoes. Ballerinas get their shoes and they are absolutely pristine, but impossible to dance in, and they purposefully break them down, much like how you purposefully sharpen your knives. They both get better with use until they're so worn down they need to be tossed!
Fun fact: Nate's hand strength actually comes from the use of the sprayer. xD Also, man, imagine not being an expert and telling an expert when and how to do something. *cue eye roll* Fricken' internet.
Out of the handful of hoof trimmers I’ve watched on RUclips, I think you are the most skilled with the knife.
Thanks!!
Nate and hoof gp are pros
I agree. He takes his time and is very careful. Rarely does he scrape too far. Nate is my favorite! Imo, he's gentler than the Hoof GP.
And it's not even close! @NatetheHoofGuy is surgical!

Yep me too. It’s just Nate and the cow, his calm voice and a few background sounds.
I have no idea why I love these videos so much. I don't know anything about cows.
If I was a cow in need of your excellent care, I'd scratch your name in the dirt and not let anyone else touch me. You're the BEST!
Lmao 😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Love the ending so matter of fact!! That's a wrap & off she goes stopping just a few seconds to say thanks for the trim. Great video.
Thanks Alice!!
It is so amazing to see with one or two passes what shows up. The best part is when the cow is able to walk out much better than the way she came in.
