LA Doesn't Have Good Food? A Response to Keith Lee

- When Keith Lee posted a TikTok saying "I'm not a huge fan of the LA food scene," we felt compelled to step in. We wanted to help him out and highlight some of our favorite restaurants recommended by locals in Los Angeles. We tried to offer a diverse spread of cuisines-- Vietnamese, Korean, Salvadoran, and Thai food, just to name a few. Even though we're spoiled with the riches of the NYC food scene, hats off to LA for the eateries it has to offer as well!

Why bro sound like he bout to narrate a hip hop documentary 😂😂
"We went from break dancing in the park, to rhyming after dark"😂😂
He sounds like your favorite New York MC from the 90s
Sound like a Wu Tang affiliate
More like wonton
*wannabee
I went to ConiSeafood in Inglewood last week on your recommendation. It was really underwhelming. I feel like there are many neighborhood mariscos places that would out compete Coni, my thinking is this must be the first mariscos place you and other food writers have experienced to so highly regard it.
One of Jonathan Gold’s favorite spots. Sad you didn’t enjoy
Keith Lee is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling. He is also known for his time in WWE from 2018 to 2021 and Ring of Honor, as well as on the independent circuit with promotions such as Evolve, All American Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
I agree with you, not all foodies understand local scenes. Part of the charm of eateries is its connection to the community and its other restaurants. Keith Lee appears to either skip it, or not at that level.
Bruh you didn't have to bring him up to show your culture foods 😂😂😂😂
he only included one korean spot.
Keith Lee is tripping hard as fuck LA has so many restaurants that if you ate at three different restaurants a day in LA your entire life you still wouldn’t be able to eat at all of them. Bro really didnt look if he couldn’t find shit
You could eat at three different restaurants on some streets for years without repeating😂
He the DJ on the video game “Jet set radio” 😂
There’s a lot of food out here also a lot of trash what’s the issue w someone saying they didn’t get great food from peoples suggestions lol 😂 mfers way to hung up on Keith lees opinion lol 😂
When we were in LA in 1995 we found good food. We went to dive restaurant twice.
All these comments are Wild. Asia is a continent but yet we get put into one bucket as one and the same. All asian food look alike because asians look alike right? Smfh. European food gets placed in different categories Ie: French, Italian, Swedish, etc but yet all asian food is the same? Get outta here.
I hated the food there!
Bihh where? Dude named 5 locations🤣🤣
I get it, but why’d you throw in a restaurant in OC?
Thank you for putting him on. It's actually not that hard to find good food in LA. Do a little bit of homework...
pshh not this dude again...
Do they even allow Black people to come in their places without calling the cops?
my sister owns banh cuon luu luyen. No she wont.
@@jackylancer Thank you. Nice to know. I know a lot of Asian people do not like black people in their buildings and honestly I would like for them to let me know. And since I know that your sister does not like black people in her place of business, I will spread the word.
A lot of black people get upset but honestly I say it's good to know that people don't want you in their place of business so you don't have to give them your money.
I’m always in china town in New York. in the most exclusively Asian and Chinese spots black as hell with cornrows by myself and get love and no hate sad that LA is like that.
@@KKKtrucky2 I'm sorry I think their was a misunderstanding in the way I responded. I'm saying my sister wont call the cops. hence the "no she won't" also I don't consider the restaurant located in LA. We are located in Orange County. We welcome everyone.
Aren’t you guys the ones targeting Asian folks? The audacity of 🦍
So just Asian food pretty much. TBH a couple of those dishes I do not care for in general. It’s a very acquired taste.
But Salvadoran food and Mexican food make up 40% of the list?
It’s not “very acquired”
@@righteouseatsright so two different cultures? Not very diverse at all ding dong
@bigchet korean, vietnamese and thai are very different buddy. We must look all the same to you round eye
As a tourist I’ve never ate somewhere good in LA
Diverse does not equal good😂 ask Disney
Yes but these places are so far from each other. Everything takes about an hour to get to in LA so keith is right
Wtf.......some of those spots are outside of LA. Damn Keith lee is right.
Jfc. The Korean and Mexican food is life-changing. You can't go to the haole spots.
Na la is ass.
Go to san diego.
Dude only listed Asian food lol
Asian isnt a cuisine type. ☠️ Different food cultures from each other
So what u eat? Just white food?
@@traplover6357 I said all he mentioned was Asian food, from different regions of Asia moron
@@organizedchaos4559 Quiet child, there's no such thing as white food 🤣
But for the special needs kids that didn't understand, I meant that LA has different foods from many cultures. So yes, it looks bias that all his picks were Asian
Why are they all Asian Cuisines? Is there anything else? 😅
Is everyone friends with Roy choi
ORANGE COUNTY ISN’T LA
STEVIES ON PICO
All Asian Foods one Mexican or Italian place nothing else
W
I don’t think he eats this cuisine
Those aren’t whole in the wall places though. He want to help struggling business not flourishing
? These businesses are all small, mom and pop restaurants that don’t get a lot of coverage.
@@righteouseatswhat they mean is… they aren’t black owned😂
Chinese ppl talking black is always funny 😅
Says LA is diverse only shows asian food lmao
Never knew pususas were asian , shit someone tell people from el salvador
1) asian foods are very different from country to country?
2) bro there was literally a el salvadorian restaurant first
3) did your mother have a drinking problem during pregnancy or something
“Most diverse”
Lmao Mexican/Central American food and Asian food. One of the most homogeneous food scenes😂
All looks nasty Keith is right
We black we don’t want dat 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Versatility with your palate is king, brother💯
You don't want that. Don't generalize black people to having basic taste buds there is more food in this world than just chicken wings, fries, and fettuccine alfredo
You don't speak for all black people
YOU don’t want that. Not all black people are close minded like you so speak for yourself ❤
nice
I’m a local food reviewer and guide. Coni’s seafood is a MUST try 🫶🏼 4.5/5 ⭐️
So Asian and Mexican... that's diverse to you?
There's hundreds of ethics and countries in Asian. Just in asian its self. Education yourself.
@@johnnyboidam b!+ch .. yes there are different countries but the cuisine involves similar ingredients and cooking styles. Go travel a bit. Hillbilly
