Hello again! Cheers for that - very much appreciated. I hope you fitted the spring clips that I managed to edit out. I had put RUclips subtitles up at that point of the video but am not sure they appear on all formats for some reason. I'm currently awaiting the rear discs and pads - so will be fitting them in the near future. Hopefully without editing out any important steps! Thanks once again for the comment - very much appreciated! All the best! 🍻
Glad you got it sorted. 👍 I am planning to bleed the system when the rears get done. Hopefully get it done this side of Christmas. Thanks again. All the best.
Hello! Thanks for watching - very much appreciated! Thanks for the comment too - they're always awesome to receive! Remember to fit those retaining springs - I'm an idiot and lost the footage in the edit! Should hopefully have some rear brake action for the XC60 in the next few weeks. All the best - cheers 🍻!👍
Hello! Thanks very much for watching and thanks for the comment - always appreciated.👍 First up on the Volvo front is correcting the retaining spring omission on this video - REMEMBER TO REFIT THOSE SPRINGS FOLKS! 😬 Can’t believe I edited that footage out! The rear pads are definitely on the radar at some point in the future - at the moment they are good though. Cheers once again - all the best! 👍
I can see the retaining spring was installed. You can see it through the wheel rim, but you forgot to remind folks to put it back. Just a small observation, overall a great video.
You’re absolutely correct!! I’m horrified - I may have cut it out in the edit. I’ll try and get it rectified if I can as it’s a crucial component to fit! The springs as you correctly pointed out were fitted. Thank you very much for watching - hugely appreciated. And thank you for pointing out my omission. All comments appreciated - especially when they have something to bring to the party! Thanks once again. All the best! 👍
Hello! Thanks for watching - very much appreciated! 👍 I’ll be doing a rear brake video for the XC60 in the next few weeks. There is a plastic (yes really!!) jacking point in front of the rear wheels. This is to lift with a trolley jack and adaptor. Don’t be tempted to try and lift it without the adaptor - you’ll crush the plastic. I’ll try and put a picture of the jacking point on my community page. The adaptor is the same one as in the video for the front brakes. All the best! 👍
Hello! Thanks for watching - very much appreciated.👍 Thanks very much for taking the time to comment - always hugely appreciated. In this case I am going to have to disagree with you though, the guides were lubricated according to the instructions that are supplied with the genuine Volvo brakes - brake guides lubricated in accordance with Volvos own fitting instructions.
Whenever you do get to your rear brakes, might want to give this a shot to put your parking brake into service mode: ruclips.net/video/SzT7Mx7PcmI/видео.htmlsi=bQ2oW6qUWbSbqIG5 Worked for my parking brake. Thanks for the videos!
Hello again! Thanks for watching - very much appreciated as always. Cheers for the comment - always good to share a bit of knowledge 👍! I've not quite got round to the rear brakes yet but they will need doing soon! For our old V60 CC I did the 9V battery with jumper wire trick to move the parking brake, when I do this one I'll probably hook up an OBD unit to put it into service mode but for those that don't have one it's always good to have other options. Thanks once again - all the best!
Finally got around to doing the front rotors and pads today. Video was awesome and every step was well documented. Really appreciate the help!

@ The clips were a bit tricky to get on. My buddy was able to get those on. Any plans to do a brake fluid flush once you get to the rear? Thanks!

Nice clear demonstration. Thank you!
Thank you very much for watching and massive thanks for the comment! 👍 Remember to fit those retaining clips!
All the best - cheers 🍻!
Good to see someone covering the newer XC60! Informative video. Cheers dude! 👍
Thanks for watching - very much appreciated! Always good to get a comment! Haven’t seen the MK2 brakes done yet! All the best! 👍
Great video and explanation, really helpful 👌🏼

Can you show how you can lift the rear of the vehicle? Any video for the rear brake replacement? Thanks for the great video!

@@2HopesGarage Much appreciated sir! Looking forward to the video.
In this type of brakes the guides are not lubricated, they must work dry.
