- This edition of Bb. Pilipinas Pageant is historic and extra special for me for two reasons, it is the 50th Anniversary of the Pageant and got to see on-stage almost a hundred former Bb. Pilipinas titleholders truly a very nostalgic moment and secondly after more than a year of ups and down, my pageant protegee, Mutya Johanna Datul a modern day Cinderella from the Province of Isabela finally got her long-cherished dream to become Bb. Pilipinas, my second Bb. Pilipinas titleholder after Tiffany Cuna who won the Bb. Pilipinas Maja in 1995.
Mutya later on won as the first Asian and Filipina Miss Supranational thus beginning the country's major crown victories in practically all International Pageant culminating in Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach's third Miss Universe title in 2015 and then again by Kylie Verzosa's Miss International win in 2016.
No. 15, Pia's number , a sign she will conquer the universe in 2015.🥰 "confidently beautiful with a heart".Congratulations Pia🎉🎉🎉
Like india shes 21 years old right now ang more than 2decades to get again the crown.

Pia eversince speaks with sense and from the heart. It doesn’t look like rehearsed nor taken from another beauty queen’s answer. Very articulate in her filipina way. She deserved to be crown but its not her destiny yet until her global stardom in Miss Universe 2015 that made her the most popular Miss Universe ever.

I think Pia's answer is the strongest but I was shocked, why she didn't even get a crown, same as the following year......in year 2015 finally Pia's star shines the brightest not only in bbp but in Miss Universe, wow such an achievement of her life and for raising the Philippine flag to the universe.......Pia was born to wear the MU crown, she is indeed confidently beautiful.

Mark Ian Suaner then two of the ladies you mentioned tarnish the philippine pageantry because of their bad behavior. At the same time both of them didn't do well in the international stage.

I think Pia delivered one of the strongest answers Inthis batch, a crown worthy answer, BUT the universe has better, bigger and brighter plans for her.
And don't forget the bounces that went Pia's way in 2015 including Donald Trump selling Miss Universe to WME/IMG on September 14 and Madame Stella Araneta finally giving in to the netizens' demands to have a Filipino designer to create the gowns and national costumes when Albert Andrada came on board.

I remember this moment- The time when I thought Pia will be the winner, then, I was quite disappointed.
But I don't think Pia would've won in Donald Trump's watch since only two Asians won Miss Universe in his ownership in India's Lara Dhutta in 2000 and Japan's Riyo Mori in 2007.

For me, Ruffa Gutierrez is the bravest Binibini winner. Why? In 1993, she is already one of the most famous actress in the Philippines with a very lucrative TV and movie career. Imagine, she put everything aside and pursued her dream of becoming a beauty queen! Now that is guts! Look at her! 2nd Princess at Miss World 1993! 🥰
They all amazingly have gorgeous faces and I learned that as soon as they answer the questions, you can tell who are the smart ones and winners.

The only girls who had genuine happiness in the face when crowned were Mutya, Bea and Ariella. It looks like Cindy and Pia were expecting higher placements. But all girls did their best. Di lang nila time pa siguro. ☺️
Yes, it was really genuine happiness for Mutya Johanna Datul. My team and I, really worked very hard for Mutya to achieve her ultimate dream to become a Binibini and eventually make pageant history as the first Asian and Filipina Miss Supranational.
