I tried this once. About a minute in, the pile of NPCs around me proved that I had failed quite poorly.

You also could have installed the new microphone (in the theater) and lit the barbecue - both legal actions. Yates would come down and get electrocuted by the microphone but it's not your fault if they made a faulty microphone.
