It was such a delight seeing some underwater footage again. Thanks for that. A thoroughly enjoyable episode.
I forgot how good your music choices are in this type of format. ❤ so good
Out of the darkness and into the light!
That part of Western Australia looks so beautiful. Very pleasing to see your family enjoying that lovely meal. Forgot how much I enjoyed watching your episodes in and on the water. Bravo.
lots of memories there for you - and me!
A very pleasant episode. A wee bit like a Sunday afternoon at Gran's house
I went to the west for two weeks and stayed 4 years…loved it!!! Bought back some wonderful memories, thankyou ❤
Just a lovely wholesome story.
The tray rattle from the 2.8 Hilux brings me home
As much as I love your new videos, I sure do miss the sailing videos. This was a great change up, and a bit of old times.
Love to see both of you underwater after a long time. Please keep this up occasionally. Love from India.
What a nice change of pace for you. Its good to see the two of you out recreating a little instead of always working. What a beautiful beach that was. Thanks for sharing!
RUclips is strange I haven’t received a video notification for the last 3 videos and then they decide to notify me of this one. YT needs to do better
I miss you sailing around Australia, but its the two of you I enjoy at sea or on land.
So good to see you two with mask and fins on! Looked like an incredible meal👍 Family life in the country sure suits you! Very Happy to see things going well! Baby sure growing😊 Take care! B Deacon Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
Wonderful. I echo previous comments as the sailing vids are great. Also, so many are following your path on land, having the hogs "turn the earth", chicks for food & mulch, etc, etc. I certainly appreciate your sustainable and humble approach. So good to see you both back in the H2O. As always, I look forward to many more videos. (especially boat build) Be well.
It's funny how sailors are drawn back to the sea after they leave it even if only for a brief time. You appeared to have been enjoying every minute of it. Good for you and I'm sure you all enjoyed eating the fruits of your labor or should I say fruits of your playful sea break. Great show.
You are such a a wonderful story teller. It is part of what attracted me to Free Range Sailing, and part of why I have stayed subscribed.
A great episode, warm and engaging. How did it feel to slip back into your previous life for a few hours?
That current looked gnarly.
😊Abalone sounds so good!!
Wonderful to see the Chef back in action!
Take good care!
OUTSTANDING
So nice to see you two back in your element!
I Googled Scotsdale Tourist Drive and found that it was in ... Denmark! Cheers from the country with an Australian queen.
That meal looked delicious , well worth the effort of the swim/dive to collect your own meal. Thanks for the video.
Seeing you both suit up & go diving brings back good vibes for me. I miss you guys in the water.
Love the Aussie outback. You have created a wonderful channel, full of unique experiences talented knowledge and inspiration, be it seafaring or farming. As someone that also started out on a farm in Iowa, but spent most of my life New York and California in higher education , I returned to my roots and have been happy ever since.
Washing machine surf. Troy surely enjoyed that bouncy ride to the beach. Dinner with family.
We grow up and values take on meaning.
Nice trip, great catch and cook, and the little one's so cute !!!
have a great day
Around 0:30 - that looks like a great place to be able to call 'home'. Nice. Thankyou.
Garlic, lightly sautéed in butter, cream added near the end. Shoot, I'd eat an old if prepared this way.
Try this. Mince the papua (abalone) with some potato and an onion. Stir together and bind with an egg and a sprinkle of flour, pepper and salt and shallow fry like a big burger patty. Delicious!!!. 🐟
A wonderful episode. So well put together with great music and videography. Seeing you back in the ocean environment was impressive and moving.
Aah yes. So in our fishing region, where I go,minimum size for black foot paua is 125mm and yellow foot paua is 80mm minimum. And 20/person either/or....Or no more than 20 combination of the 2 species. We have a saying over here, "Don't catch your limit, Limit your catch." Which is particularly beneficial for wet fish species. Btw if you see someone with a Tshirt saying "More Paua to you, " You know they've been over here. Ok thanks again for sharing. All the very best. ("More Paua to You.") 😂
I got the warm fuzzies with this episode❤
Once again, now I'm hungry.
Lovely family...cheers
Lovely life. Thanks for sharing.
4 Wheel drive Subaru pick up now your overlanding. What’s next ? I don’t know what but keep them coming.
Hi Troy & Pascale, lovely to see you back in the water again, great video footage as always. Wishing you all the best, from the UK.
What a wonderful flashback!
OMG. This abalone-dish you cooked Pascale. Mouthwatering. I will definitely eat seafood in a few hours.
Absolutely AWESOME AS ALWAYS LOVE the Abalone recipe. Gourmet Sailor/Chef
Yum! I miss being near salt water. Do you soak the abalone in clean salted water before cleaning. In Alaska we would soak clam, cockle and prawn before cooking. In the mid-west USA we soak crawdads (crayfish) and freshwater muscles, rinse and repeat until the water stays clean. Ps That swim looked like a workout in that surge. We have been raising saltwater prawn and tilapia on the farm in five-hundred-gallon tanks. It is novel and new to us and the area. Quite a treat and so far, a good seller. Happy days.
Great to see you both having some fun in this episode. We had a good laugh this morning at breakfast when we re lived one of your incidents that we always remember. After your episode about making yogurt we began and have since always made our own. This morning we were prepping and I went to pour some the moisture (curds?) off the top of a container about 2/3 full and it let go and plopped into the sink😱☹️😂. We looked at each other, madly saved as much as we could and then burst out laughing as we remembered the episode where Pascal did a similar thing splashing her beautiful green jumper! We both did our best Pascal imitations of the devastated look and burst just laughing again. Thanks for clues about making our own yogurt and thanks for the memories about your voyage and adventures. Just wanted to let you know if your ears were red this morning it was because we were thinking and talking and laughing about you both - very fondly!
Loved it.
Although you may disagree and I completely understand, I felt like we were back home while you were diving for the abalone
Funny how, when we're all young, we looked at the life of our parents and said to ourselves "I'll never live like that" and then we reach a certain age and realize that that life style was what we all truly craved...
Its been awhile since i saw some ocean in your videos. And no seat belt for Troy. Cheers
Totally agree with the country life with family. Cherish the time.
Great video this reminds me of the earliest video's of the two of you that made me follow. You were off the beaten path inland on a dingy and talking about crocodiles and the inland waterways of Australia and New Zealand.
Brings back memories from sharing your previous aquatic adventures. Wondered when you would get itchy flippers again. How is your breath holding holding up? Take care and thanks for sharing.
😀👍👍👍❤ You two know how to make beautiful babies! Wiil 2024 be another good year?
The best of both worlds! Fantastic.
Love you all ❤
Fantastic from Norway
Mouthwatering!!
Lovely! Cheers
You guys live a wonderful lifestyle.
Hopefully found time to get back out there again, $100 licence for 40 Roe's.
Prob aware, but dropping tyre pressures to 20psi will give a more comfortable ride and helps reduce corrugating
Nicely done!
Thanks for your first shared recreational outing since the final sale / sail of Mirrool. The world loves watching the two of you on your adventures at sea, on land and now with the biggest adventure life has to offer, a child. Bonus; Pascal shares cooking seafood once again. Family, food and fun, the only thing missing was hearing Pascal's world renown seal of approval… yum!
Love it ! Love it love it !
I’ve been with you from the start. Learned so much. God bless ! THANKYOU for sharing
I was wondering how youse were coping being land bound!
So happy for u
Loved seeing you both in your natural habitat again….heavy cream on the ab! Mmmmm I marinade with a splash of Jack Daniels and then use the same marinade to flash off….worth a try.
Hi Guys ,being English what was the wheel centre hub turn when you went offroad? cheers Richard, oh like I said some time ago the world needs kids like yours's 😊
Aye m8’s! You make me very hungry again 😋
I've read statistically, 90% of people die within 50 miles of where they were raised.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful day with your family.
Great footage. Roie abalone a lot yummier than green lips . Enjoy- hailing from Busselton !
Great Episode. Enjoyed it
Loved the video, thanks for sharing guys !
I still prefer the sea, Ex merchant seaman plus a gardener since being on the stuff that does not move. But getting on a little bit harder every year, still trying. The kids just do not care supermarket easy digging a garden hard. I was a kid dad made me dig the garden in the spring hated it. When I came ashore wanted to grow my own stuff. Sorry bit of a rant, no not sorry kids have no idea where food comes from. My kids ken tomatoes come from the greenhouse and the rest of the veg from the garden.
Thank you so much for sharing a simple but meaningful dinner an experience. Always a joy to share in your travels.
Abalone??? I am Positively coming down Under to explore around the whole country.
Great episode 👍👍
I was surprised to see German Carl Loewen Riesling and Austrian Kipfler potatoes on a table in western Australia.
Thanks for sharing and greetings from Austria!
❤❤
❤
Hi dear am new here and I ❤ your videos so much😊
Like Mussels ; yes ?
Please, please, what was the music you used during the abalone diving clip ? Please
Well, Pascie! I think the last time we saw you divng for abs was in Tasmania? Water a tad warmer?
Second
Could we have a date stamp on the video please
Really!?! I remember taking abalone from the southern waters of California in and around 1975-1985 and legal abs were 9-12 inches across the shells widest part.
Different species. We have ones the same size as well.
What year is that truck that you lock in the hubs on the wheels for 4 wheel drive?
Not sure, but they still make those hubs. It saves wear on the front diff when in 2WD.
🦪🦪😃
What, no seatbelt?
050224 Good to see you again.
