Ending the video with an emotional and relieved Parkinson acknowledging the crowd, knowing just last year fans were calling for him to be fired, is just perfect.
Oh man... The Contrast of the team showering Phil Parkinson with beer and love in the dressing room brought a joyful tear to my eye. Contrasat that with final shot of Phil Parkinson thanking the fans... Seeing the relief, the weight and preasure he has been carying finally being let go and released in the moment, just gutted me.
Yesterday I watched Rob & Ryan’s full 1.5 hour Zoom pitch to the Supporter’s Trust and every…single…thing they said they’d do, they’ve done. And more. What an incredible implementation of a thoughtful, comprehensive, sustainable plan. Bravo, Wrexham.
It's crazy to think that two years ago or so, Rob had this dream. Knowing that it couldn't be done without help he recruited Ryan and they began a journey together with all of you and brought many of us along for the ride. We've all dreamt of this moment and yet some maybe thought it still wouldn't happen despite the reinvigorated spirit. It didn't happen immediately but they held onto their word and maintained the promise of promotion. And it's all come to fruition. There's plenty more to come but let's all stop and thank them for bringing us along with them on this unforgettable journey. Rob and Ryan, we thank you.
I couldn't give a hoot about footie; this is the best story of any kind anywhere at the moment and us philistines are enchanted by the generosity of spirit from everyone involved. I'm waiting for series 10. Won't miss an episode. Thanks, Wrexham.
I must have watched, goodness knows how vids I have seen, but this is the best ever. The enthusiasm of R & R is so much better than other owners is hard to beat. COYR ...
I haven't been a Wrexham fan for very long, but as a Philadelphia sports fan I can definitely understand what this means to the lifers. Super proud of y'all. Up the town!
By day I'm a mild mannered Cardiff fan, annoyed by our ownership and choice of manager for the last decade By night I'm fast becoming a secret Wrexham fan it's refreshing to see owners who have a simple approach on the best way to grow a club steadily and build a solid base and I'm weirdly envious of the fact that you're now entering league 2 as when you're championship level trying to change a team from playing route one football but also trying to stay in the division you get stuck in this spiral. You guys have a clean slate, a solid base that's getting better by the season and play exciting (maybe a bit too exciting at times lol) football. As much as it pains me to say it but it's a lot easier to play a better brand of football when you start from the bottom.... Like Swansea did when they nearly got relegated to the national league then switched to a more passing style with Roberto Martinez, it's a lot easier to do at league 2 level
To be honest, I'm a football fan since 2015. I go for Man City, my favourite club. I never heard of Wrexham in my days, at all. I am a fan of Ryan Reynolds of what he does such as movies, shows, commercials, advertisements, etc. But I never knew that he, alongside Rob McElhenney, would turn this club, an old football club in the world in its humble beginnings in an absolute success. It's brilliant and outstanding the way that they brought joy to the community of Wrexham. I've literally watched the documentary series Welcome To Wrexham, every episode of it. I was touched by many stories and the one that really touched me the most is the Jordan Davies story. I can't wait for season 2 coming up in FX and Hulu. For those of you watching at home and/or come across this video I highly recommend you to go on a journey with them because I feel like one myself. Congrats on the promotion to the EFL League Two and hopefully we will see you finishing strong and going to EFL League One. LET'S GO RED DRAGONS!!!
Absolutely amazing scenes watching Wrexham journey since rob and Ryan took control and it's feel like i am part of the club too full of emotions whether the heartbreak of last season or this year's record breaking football absolutely amazing 😍 Love from India 🇮🇳
That was amazing, was there at the game and that Triple A brought all the feelings back. I think we all felt how Phil Parky was looking at the end there!
The unbridled joy in Ben Foster’s smile, taking it all in, is so infectious. He’s played at the highest level and yet it’s moments like these that likely remind him why he took up the sport in the first place. Kudos to the entire team for a well-earned championship.
Never surrender Wrexham. Congratulations from Athletic club of Bilbao's fan. Keep up the phenomenal work. I will try to follow the EFL league 2 from Spain. Bravo ! I got Mullin fever now, such a great player and a person. And with 2 charismatic and humble ppl like Ryan and Mac u will reach the finish line I'm sure of it, from now on, I'm a believer . Gogogo Dragons ! I started to dream, the heartbeat of Wales is this town and his football team. A new basque fan
To Amy and Emily Thank You for a wonderful moment and having the eye to pick out the right vignettes to tell the story, and in letting the players, fans and staff do it unaided. Then winding down the end with Rob and Ryan celebrating keeping the promise and Parkinson acknowledging the crowd and showing the cost of getting there was truly artful. Thank you...
UNBELIEVABLE!!! FUCKING SHIVERS DOWN THE SPINE AND ALL. God damn... I'm so fucking in love with the Wrexham story. The amount of videos about the club and specifically their promotion I've been watching this past week.... Heartfelt congratulations to the community and their supporters/players. The lot. Looks like good fuckin fun
I'm not much of a football fan, i'm never going to see the documentary I wont give money to disney , But i have so much respect for Ryan and Rob for providing the spark to the tinder which is not only reigniting and old Football club but also a town , a region even the country as a proud welsh man thank you boyo's
This is why sports is the closest thing we have to real magic. It's not the same teams every year in the top league winning championships for the umpteenth time, but clubs and players that remember it's not about the money but the community you represent.
Foster was a great signing, the bloke is a great keeper and exudes positivity. It was over when you signed him, just the extra 10% boost that was needed. Come on my Bromley, you never know.
It’s a story for the generations and I absolutely live for this. What a team. What a community. What a journey. You can see what this means to everyone of Wrexham. We’re going all the way to the top baby!
This is what we in American profesional sports doesn't had : promotion and relegation,it's bring so much on the table..we did had great sports but in major leauge like nba or nfl or nhl , we dont had this thing.. once again congrats to each one of u,I hope u guys can stay in leauge 2 next year and can't wait for who will joining wrexham in next transfer windows. GOD BLESD yall from New Hampshire USA.
I hope the Welcome to Wrexham crew had suitable protection on their equipment in that changing room. I can't wait for August 24th. Bring on season 2... And 3... And 4...
I've seen a few fans of other teams bitching about the owners that Wrexham have, although the vast majority have been supportive. But at the end of the day, the money's pointless if you can't make inspired signings. Mullins was an inspired signing. Ollie Palmer was an inspired signing. Ben Foster was an inspired signing to get the team over the line. But for me the most inspired signing was Phil Parkinson. Rob and Ryan have so far done everything right, not least in getting the right advisors to help them. None of this "I've got money so I'll run the club how I want bullshit." Their decisions so far have been inspired.
I’m gonna make it to a game next season… all the way from Texas… I’m hooked…. For Wrexham Suggest getting everyone’s jersey and put them all on display with the cup
Go on Wrexham! Great to see ben happy. He retired declining a fat check from new castle cause he lost the thrill in football (and for being near family). Great to see him smiling again.
Wonder how they’ll handle the hard decisions to axe players and staff in order to meet coming demands? Forgive my ignorance but will Phil have the contemporary tactical skills as they hope to progress up the Leagues? Will they attach tacticians and analysts to scaffold him?
How about a few new chants in addition at the next game? Something about the coach or other players. Love Mullin and Fozy, but we have room for more of the lads
Ending the video with an emotional and relieved Parkinson acknowledging the crowd, knowing just last year fans were calling for him to be fired, is just perfect.

You can sense the feeling of relief from Phil. What a team! Up the town!
Yep that footage of him showed the sheer relief..such an amazing effort.
Yesterday I watched Rob & Ryan’s full 1.5 hour Zoom pitch to the Supporter’s Trust and every…single…thing they said they’d do, they’ve done. And more. What an incredible implementation of a thoughtful, comprehensive, sustainable plan. Bravo, Wrexham.
wow, that's incredible! great idea to watch that call.
I gotta give it up, this is just incredible. Over seas, we as americans need more respect for this kind of stuff.
Watching Mark Howard sing Ben Foster's song at the top of his lungs fills the spirit up.
What a team of legends.
It's crazy to think that two years ago or so, Rob had this dream. The best triple A ever. Magnificent piece of work there.
I must have watched, goodness knows how vids I have seen, but this is the best ever. The enthusiasm of R & R is so much better than other owners is hard to beat. COYR ...
same, i've watched so many but this was the best 🥲
I haven't been a Wrexham fan for very long, but as a Philadelphia sports fan I can definitely understand what this means to the lifers.
Super proud of y'all. Up the town!
2018. Right there with you. Go Birds
The shot of parky at the end… my eyes started leaking again. He is the man

Sends shivers down the back, what a great day for all involved with Wrexham!
