It is not cool for women either. Sometimes, they reveal "too much information" with their leggings as well, and it is not cool at all. And that is NYC guy talking...
The Diesel Buster (tapered) jeans were my go-to jeans for a long time, but Diesel took them out of their collection a while ago (such a shame). They introduced two new tapered styles (D-struct and D-finitiv). The D-finitiv is kind of okay, but the Buster was better in my opinion, while their slim fits are too tight. Any thoughts or a good alternative for the Buster? I still haven't found it

Ashley, regarding your well-meant advice: Maybe consider the (varied) point of views of your intended male target audience - ergo, Try truly empathic advice, rather than pushing a generalized filter of what supposedly turns off/on ladies. Maybe it's not such a great idea to hardline/rule out extreme ends of the spectrum like super-baggy pants or just-leggings. True attractiveness and male confidence is based on being happy with oneself and any particular aesthetic choice a man leans toward, instead of having them worry about whatever stylistic choice some women MIGHT dislike. Again, the BEST cooks are the ones who keep the person they cook for in mind, Ergo; your style advice for men should take their angle in mind perhaps a bit more than what you and your female friends happen to like/dislike. Resolve? Maybe try to advise on how to make the items you dislike, actually work - a more constructive kind of thinking.
If you run actively outside, you do not need shorts over your running pants. Context is essential, and you shouldn’t just be rocking those pants around town, but if engaging in the intended activity, then adding a layer is somewhat counter to the purpose.
