Capital Spotlight: Meet Team Wine Kenya

It’s the last week of Women’s Month and we are spotlighting the all-women team that represented Kenya in the 2023 edition of the Wine Olympics.
The 2023 edition of the ‘Wine Olympics’ took place in October in the magnificent setting of Château Sainte-Roseline, France. Thirty-three countries participated, including Kenva. Ably represented by Joy Adero, Victoria Mulu-Munywoki, Diane Chimboza, Judy Ngene and Lorna Kipkosgei.
“We sommeliers are here to pass on knowledge and make sure people are positively influenced to choose better. drink better. drink responsibly.” - Victoria Mulu-Munywoki.
Team Wine Kenya has played a role in raising the profile of both wine culture and female professionals in Kenya. There is a stigma attached to Sommeliers in this country and Team Wine Kenya is hoping to break this stigma.
