    I purchased "A decade of Buster B Jones" and after listening to it I had you pictured as some sort of a wild man. But now having watched this video I realise you are a pretty mellow guy. These lessons are really helpful but I'll never be able to duplicate some of the stretches you do. You are one of the best!

    WOW! I was about to ding him for not giving credit to Sam Chatmon and his brothers ( The Mississippi Sheiks ) for writing this song but I watched the video first. What a Great tutorial and a Terrific version of this classic.

    Brilliant bloke, superb finger picker. If Chet rates you highly etc. He did a few great instructional videos like this, all well worth studying. Great shame he left us too early.

    I think he did a better job teaching then any of the other greats. Think he enjoyed it more. Most of the others assume you already know it.

    Notice Buster was using guitars from the Robert Godin family of guitars... the Simon & Patrick, and the Godin Multiac. I'm trying to decide between the Godin Multiac Nylon Duet and Carvin's CL450. Anyone out there had a chance to compare the 2?

    why does he tune down one note and put a capo on the 2nd? Better tone than normal tuning without capo?

    • @robinsonkist9032
      @robinsonkist9032 7 лет назад +2

      He had had a surgery in his arm at that time, so he couldn't stretch his fingers enough to be able to play in the standard tuning.

    • @randytrashcan
      @randytrashcan 7 лет назад

      I personally prefer to do the same because, not only does the tone seem a little crisper, the strings feel slightly tighter, too. This causes those open strings to sound a bit nicer, in my opinion.

    Does anyone know who Buster B. Jones's Father is/was? I have heard it was Carl Russell who demoe'd Guitorgans made in Waco, Texas. I knew Carl and I see Carl's traits in Busters charactaristics. Both awesome thumb pickers. I am wondering..........H-mmmmmmm???
