  • This portion, “Bechukotai,” meaning "in My statutes," concludes the book of Leviticus with a review of the blessings for obedience and penalties for disobedience to the LORD and His covenant. In particular, Chapter 26 defines a series of increasing judgments against the children of Israel, leading to their expulsion from the land into the hands of their enemies; however, God promised that He will not reject us nor abhor us. The door for repentance remains open. Indeed, God states that He will remember His covenant with our fathers for us. He says He will do this because He is our God (and we are His people). This portion concludes with the rules on how to calculate the values of different types of pledges made to God, and the command of tithing produce and livestock.
    Scripture readings: Leviticus 26:3-27:34, Jeremiah 16:19-17:14, John 14:15-21, 15:10-12

    Rabbi your teachings are so amazing it makes me want to cry.
    Honestly… I feel like the soldier who responded to the Pharisees. “No one talks like this man does.”
    The last comment on the 30 shekels for the price of the bride…
    That blew right off the screen at me. I literally felt something when you said that.
    I fought extremely hard not to cry when you said that. I don’t like to cry but I do sometimes just not around others. Still trying not to while typing this.
    I thank God for your teaching.
    You will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

    In reference to the punishments and 7's, it may actually be 7 years. This is purely from my observation and experience. From my personal testimony, for the first 7 years of my Torah observance i felt cursed and blessed. Cursed in the sense that everything was hard. We had very little and many times of despair. I/we were still protected and kept from serious trouble. There were still minor blessings every now and then. But generally life was hard.
    After the 7 year mark of Torah observance, we really started to receive blessings. Blessing in the sense of abundance and peace. Not overabundance, at least not yet, but there has been a very noticeable shift. I really feels like going from being in a cursed state to a state of blessing.
    I know this is just my personal experience and may not apply to everyone else. Though i think it likely does. So for any of my brothers and sisters out there who are within their first 7 years of observance and life seems to suck. Dont give up, keep going. The blessings will certainly be coming. It is truly promised and will happen.

    IZ 65-15 Final retribution
    15 You will leave your name
    my chosen ones for the curse:
    And they will give my servants another name.
    16 Whoever in the land will bless you,
    he will pronounce his blessing through the God of truth.
    Who in the country will swear,
    he will swear by the faithful God;
    for former torments will be forgotten
    and they will be hidden from my eyes.
    17 For behold, I create
    new heavens and a new earth5;
    former times will not be remembered
    nor will they come to mind.
    18 On the contrary, there will be joy and gladness forever
    from what I create;
    for, behold, I will make Jerusalem a feast
    and from her people - joy.
    19 I will rejoice from Jerusalem
    and I will rejoice over her people.
    You won't hear anything in it anymore
    sounds of crying or cries of complaint6.
    20 There will no longer be a baby in her,
    destined to live only a few days,
    nor an old man who has not fulfilled his years;
    because the youngest will die at the age of one hundred,
    and not reaching a hundred years will be a sign of a curse.
    21 7 They will build houses and live in them,
    they will plant vineyards and eat the fruit thereof.
    22 They will not build for anyone else to live in,
    they will not plant for anyone else to eat.
    Because like the longevity of a tree
    shall be the longevity of my people;
    and my chosen ones will use it for a long time
    what their hands will do.
    23 They will not labor in vain
    nor bear children to destruction,
    for the tribe of those blessed by the Lord
    they are themselves, and their descendants with them.
    24 And it shall come to pass that before they call,
    I will answer them;
    they will still say
    and I will listen now.
    25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together;
    the lion will also eat straw like the ox;
    and the serpent shall have the dust of the earth for food.
    They will not do evil or do harm
    in all my holy mountain, says the Lord.
    Son of Man !

    Often I hear that now Believers are no longer under the Law given by God to Moses
    But instead are
    Under Christ’s Law
    My question then is :
    Are there 2 gods ?
    „Just as my Father has loved me, I too have loved you; so stay in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will stay in my love -- just as I have kept my Father's commands and stay in his love.
    John 15:9
    I have a question:
    What commandments does Yeshua refers to when He speaks of us keeping His commandments
    The 10 commandments?
    To me the answer is "Yes"
    The deeper meaning in this context is:
    To follow the 10 commandments ( and all Tanakh teachings)
    the WAY Yeshua interpreted them by giving us various examples how to live a Holy life based on the commandments of God . He ,Himself is God
    There is no 2 gods
    And therefore
    All Scriptures are a learning tool to be followed by the principles
    If we say that Yeshua represents Love
    Well ...
    True
    But God is both :
    Love and Holy
    He cannot tolerate Sin
    Yeshua does use strong words, in reference to Sin just like in " Old Testament "At times
    "
    And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell"
    Mathew 5:30
    I am sure it's symbolic
    Yet
    A Very strong message
    And ONLY Torah explains what sin is
    1John 3:4
    4 Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah - indeed, sin is violation of Torah.

      @@yafois988 I do a lot of biblical studies and while I respect everyone’s way of understanding of the Word of God , I also have my own guided by the Holy Spirit in prayer
      I study from the CJB
      And everything that Yeshua said we need to follow very closely. He is our example how to live the Torah based life
      Not “the Torah”
      based on human tradition ( added or twisted teachings)
      In other words:
      We are not thus under Legalism
      The entire Bible teaches us how to live a Holy life and all the commandments are based on the 10 Words ( called the 10
      Commandments)

      @@saritakatz3454Reason why ask is I was in 34 years part of the SUNworshipday SUN day papal system or ERRORS. I realized I had to be deprogrammed from my erroneous views and thinking on what it takes to enter the eternal kingdom.
      I immediate saw The TORAH teachings were one foundational to all the NY=T principles yet in the time realized the Shabbat and all the feasts are dress rehearsals and Not the commandments of “What must I Do” .
      As in Apostles expanded teaching the conditions salvation S and requires for eternal life.
      I don’t see those “Imperatives” principles taught by the Apostles existing or even mentioned or taught in the Torah community hardly at all.
      Or the minimum essentials a soul must do to their salvation walk that must be done.
      Ppl are not even being Mae aware of them.
      Yet mostly all I see in Torah community are procedural and participations in feasts observances and ordinances.
      Which are fine to a certain level, yet NOT the essentials and are mostly the intellectual mainly, Not so much the “walking in the Spirit” as taught by Apostles that we Must do preparing self as a Living sacrifice to Christ.
      I see no teachings on what it takes to PURGE the heart in order to be PURE to then do the deeds “worthy of Repentance” Acts 26:20 and others speaks to.
      There is a serious Serious VOID in ALL the Torah community in these points, that I have doubts about things so that I cannot rely upon this wonderful Torah historical knowledge, as the be all end all.
      I clearly realize and see most ppl ARE relying on as ALL that is needed for salvation and preparation.
      It’s like a “Complete Separate course” of things as a supplement .
      It’s mainly intellectual , then historical, then mechanical then The Spiritual aspect of it is like its fourth place at best .
      When It the spiritual principles that Cause a soul to be what Christ said to Walk in the Spirit , DIE to the Flesh, become Born again, THEN get filled with the Holy Spirit.
      This should be First place and ALL this other teachings past it.
      I am NOT hear seeing or sensing anything taught in Torah community to DIE to the flesh and be Born again.
      Like I said, Torah community It’s like a “addendum course” to what Is imperative the Apostles taught to obtain salvation.
      It’s missing and I stand back pondering Are there ppl really saved, certainly NOT by the intellectual aspect of things, No way are.
      It’s a serious issue here that needs correcting.

      I am in Messianic Judaism
      I am not sure what a Torah Community is
      In Messianic Judaism the principles of Torah are important to live by once a person is saved by Yeahua
      My belief is that every church and every Messianic Synagogue has true Believers
      I also believe Pastors and Messianic Rabbis deserve recognition and respect for their hard work
      The fact the the teachings differ somewhat depending on the denomination, I cannot control
      I am sure the most important thing to do once a person is saved , is to LOVE, the Lord with all our heart, soul and strength and be loving to others
      If a person does that , their heart is after God’s heart
      1 John 4:3
      3 For LOVING God means obeying his commands
      And again
      All Bible is a teaching tool how to live a Holy Life with Yeshua , who is The Lord being our Light , our Guide

    “The man of sin or the beast is the voice of human flesh.”
    The man of sin or the beast is dwelling in each and every human body. He is ruling your soul and sits like GOD in your belly, where the voice of the serpent was sent when he was cursed by GOD in the Garden of Eden. This voice is marking you with his lies. His words lead you to eternal destruction. He is called the antichrist because he opposes the Words of Christ. He is opposing the TRUTH, and if you follow him you become one with him, because joining the one body of the harlot (kingdom of flesh) makes you one with her (1 Corinthians 6:16).
    The soul of Paul became “one” with the spirit of Christ. He became one with the Words of TRUTH that he speaks. He became sinless when he joined the one body of Christ. His Words of TRUTH in his mouth are found no deceit because he is one of GOD’s chosen 144000 who testified the TRUTH in their generations. But Paul was still in that tent, in that temporary body where sin dwells, that is why he was still tempted to do the things that he did not want to do. But it was no longer him who did it, but it was the sin who dwells in him. For he is already one with the body of Christ which is sinless.
    Jesus was made sin for his brethren, that they will be gathered into his one spiritual body. He was sent into a sinful flesh which is ruled by the voice of the flesh. He was also tempted when he was in that tent, but he did not sin because he is the spirit who was temporarily dwelling in that body of sinful flesh. Jesus is the Words of GOD, literal Words who was heared by the people in his generation. Even if the body of flesh sinned, he remained sinless, because the kingdom of flesh could not own him. He is from the Kingdom of Spirit who was sent to defeat that voice of sin in his temporary body. He spoke every Word of GOD that he heared from the FATHER. It is the FATHER who did the Work of speaking, not himself. For the Words will not be heared without the Source speaking it. If you say that Jesus is the source of the Words that he speaks, you believe that his Words are from the flesh, and you believe that he is the flesh. And that is blasphemy against the Spirit of GOD because you are calling His Words flesh. His Words are spirit, not flesh. His Words give life, not death.
    The remaining lost sons of GOD who are sealed by the Spirit will be brought to the Promise Land, because they cannot join yet the one spiritual body of Christ if their soul is still ruled by the flesh. They will be born as one nation in the Promise Land because GOD will breath on them the Lord Jesus, His Words, so that they will be ruled by His Words. And because GOD is Faithful, His promise to Abraham thousands of years ago will be fulfilled in the Promise Land. His sons will be multiplied as many as the stars in heaven. And after that, after they will be tested (because the voice of the flesh will be released for a little while), the second resurrection happens. They will join the 144000 whose bodies are already resurrected at the first resurrection. They will become One Body or One Kingdom which the Word (Jesus) will bring to the FATHER. Hallelujah! Bring me Home soon to You, my FATHER! Amen and Amen!
    To the One and True Living GOD alone, who is the FATHER and GOD of the Lord Jesus and his brethren, be all the glory, honor and praises, forever and ever! Amen and Amen!
    Romans‬ ‭7‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.
    Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,”
    ‭‭
    ‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
