    Jinjer is just on ANOTHER LEVEL of GREATNESS... And i have met them and their manager, and they are so cool and down to earth guys, but so hardworking and focused, like i have seen few in my life... They sure have struggled a lot to arrive to this time and place with this quality! I have a great respect for all of them... Hope this fucking wars around the world all end soon... Жінка за перемогу!!!

    Jinjer is a once in a generation band. 🤘They are this 58 year old Rock musicians favorite band of this century. 💪Jinjer found me in '18. I first saw them live and met them too in '19. Secondly saw them live in '22. They are quite special and unique to say the least. I consider Jinjer the Led Zeppelin of current Metal. They can and do mix in influences from other genres seamlessly while still having their undeniable Jinjer sound.They will be remembered as one of the greats.😎 💙💛

    Max Morton is their producer/engineer. It might even be cool to talk with him a little about Jinjer since he's been with them basically since the beginning. This song has some crazy bass and guitar interactions and the bass is more prominent than most mixes you hear.

    I love this band. They’re not bound by all the stupid rules in metal gatekeeping. When they compose, they go where the music takes them - it’s not about chasing radio or airplay or appeasing the fans with a certain sound that doesn’t change. Every person on that band is a monster creative and musician. Vlad’s clock and sense of rhythms is so intriguing. Especially if you sit down and really try to to play those parts. He’s doing fills and grooves using hand/feet patterns that have really inspired my own playing to think about possibilities instead of following the cool sticking or kick drum techniques of other famous players. I hope they keep that spark and that it stays fun for them to make this music.

    I have been a musician myself for a long time, more in the rock, funk, acid-jazz, hip hop/rap genre, but when I stumbled across Jinjer 8 years ago............ for me in every respect one of the most intelligent bands regardless of the musical genre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    thanx for your complex reaction on a world class band,
    and warm greetings from germany

    The painter is likely either Frida Kahlo or Georgia O'Keeffe. Frida is one of Tatiana's influences but the costume looks more like Georgia. All three women have fascinating life stories

    You got Cleopatra and Marie Curie, yes that was Joan of Arc. Might be Frida Kahlo,(Tati is a fan of hers), also seem commented it could be Georgia O'Keefe. Loving this song. Description say that this is "only just a tease of what’s to come very soon". Heard the new album is done, very much looking forward to that.
    First time I've heard the vocals isolated, just WOW.🤘🤘 Drum iso too, yeah Vlad is just amazing. Starting with a lot of cleans before getting to harsh is reminding me of "Vortex" and "Wallflowers" from the last album.

    Seen Jinjer 3 times (Headlining twice) and Tatiana Shmayluk is my favorite female lead singer. Will be seeing them again in October at Aftershock in Sacramento. The famous female Artist are Cleopatra, Joan Of Ark, Marie Curie and the big debate for the painter that it was Frida Kahlo but I'm most positive it is Georgia O'Keefe. Tatiana does have a tattoo of Frida on her. Great video reaction.

    • @steveherman6909
      @steveherman6909 2 месяца назад

      While I do get the Georgia O'Keefe theory, her death at 98 doesn't fit into the violent end the other three came to. Cleopatra (sui pact with Marc Antony), Joan of Arc (executed), Marie Curie (radiation poisoning) and Frida Kahlo (accidental? o.d.) seem to loosely fit into a similar motif.

    • @NiamorH
      @NiamorH 2 месяца назад +3

      @@steveherman6909 Well, the lyrics emphasize how a frightened daughter-not yet a woman, still under the responsibility of a man-overcomes her fears and transforms into a powerful beast that no man can compare to. They don't really mention her death, so I don't think it should be a key aspect of the notable figures depicted in the video. However, the common trait among all four women is how they took power over men in their art or roles. Georgia O'Keeffe lived in the shadow of her husband, who was more famous than she was. She decided to leave him after discovering his infidelity and fully blossomed as an artist afterward. In that regard, she fits perfectly with the other three.

    • @steveherman6909
      @steveherman6909 2 месяца назад +2

      @@NiamorH Fair points my friend, and is why I led my reply to our mate Richard understanding why Georgia O'Keefe could be fitting. Consider also that is not just about male oppression, but female empowerment. There are battle metaphors, which Frida was not lacking either. Polio as a child and injuries from a bus accident at 18 years of age, Frida was a fighter. That's also notwithstanding her tumultuous relationship with Diego Garcia. While references in the lyrics don't specify "Someone's Daughter" coming to a tragic end, I was also considering different ways you can interpret the visual symbology of Tatiana standing amidst flames. The fire within coming out; the forge that steels a daughter; the bright heat of a woman who may be a little resentful, but will "throw the first punch."; the life of such a daughter represented as an eternal flame.
      I'm not 100% on either possibility, but as Richard ended his post- Tati does have a Frida tattoo.

    • @NiamorH
      @NiamorH 2 месяца назад +2

      @@steveherman6909 Indeed, Frida would be a perfect fit as a strong woman and role model. However, here are some reasons why I think it's Georgia O'Keeffe:
      - The outfit and hairstyle closely resemble those of Georgia O'Keeffe as seen in Google images, whereas they don't match Frida's as well. Tatiana has already done a Frida impression on Instagram, which was much more colorful, featuring Frida's signature crown braids.
      - Tatiana posted this character on Instagram, asking people to guess who it is. While this could be seen as a rhetorical question with an obvious answer (since, as you mentioned, Frida is known to be one of her idols), I think it should be taken as a real challenge to see if people could actually figure it out. Personally, I wouldn't have guessed Georgia if someone hadn't mentioned her in the comments. My initial guess was Frida, despite my eyes telling me the resemblance was faint, which in a sense is very odd: The other character costumes are very explicit, so why would this one be more ambiguous when it would be so easy to make it clearly look like Frida?
      - Georgia and Frida were also connected in real life: they met, and Frida apparently even sent her a (love?) letter. It wouldn’t be surprising if Tatiana first learned about Georgia while reading about Frida and decided to include her as a character in the video, thinking her story fit well with the theme and that it would be a good opportunity to shed light on her. This is just a supposition, though.
      These aren’t absolute proofs, of course, but this is how I interpret the clues given the lack of better evidence.

    • @steveherman6909
      @steveherman6909 2 месяца назад +1

      @@NiamorH I wasn't aware of the Instagram post- that certainly takes away the knee jerk response of saying Frida. I agree the attire gives pause and chalked it up to an artist sitting in front of a canvas in their workshop may not be dressed as if they were going out to a function.
      Just had an amusing thought- what if it's neither Frida or Georgia and Tatiana is being coy with her question? (doubtful, but did have a brief laugh to myself)
      Beyond all of that- killer new song. Eugene, Roman and Vlad's instrumentation once again a great canvas for Tati's poetry. Love the chuggy Djent style chords snapping us back with the signature Jinjer dissonance. Fans here know the brilliant percussion that Vlad brings to the table, but it was a neat touch that they did the drum iso at the end of the reaction nonetheless.

    Great reaction.
    I'm seeing them again this year in PA and MD, both in small clubs. They are fantastic live. Their sound crew is fantastic...they always sound great live
    Jinjer announced on IG in late June that they were done recording the new album and were on to post-production/mastering. Jinjer has been playing Someone's Daughter during their most recent shows, along with another new song called Fast Draw, which is 100% harsh vocals and is pretty brutal.
    Not sure when the last time you did a reaction to them, but Vlad's kit has been relatively the same since Wallflowers....although the set up is larger than before that for sure.

    Painter is Georgia O'Keefe, not Frieda Kahlo as many think. Marie Curie won 2 Nobel prizes, but not the Peace prize, which did not exist then. She discovered Polonium and Radium, as well as her work in radiation. I love this song! You can see the rage keep rising as the song goes on, ending with I eat them for breakfast, I eat them for lunch, I have audacity to throw the first punch!

    Considering Tati’s professed love of Frida I would put money on her. So glad you explored the lyrics. Tati’s lyricism is absolutely top shelf. Interesting if you are not familiar the guys write the music and they give it to Tati to write the lyrics. Coming up with anything sensible over the complex poly rhythms is amazing BUT the are so impactful and fit so perfectly. Their late summer/fall tour will be great again. I am also a massive fan of Hanabie who is opening. Totally different vibe but another monster singer and so damn much fun. You should check out We Love Sweets or Pardon Me I Have to Go Now.
