Boruto: Sasuke, what are you doing?
Sasuke: Me? I'm just "hanging" around.
Sasuke sits casually on a tree branch, his back leaning against the rough bark. His eyes are closed, his expression serene. He's been in this spot for hours, just enjoying the peace and quiet.
Boruto approaches, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Sasuke, what are you doing?" he asks.
Sasuke opens one eye and glances at Boruto. "Me? I'm just 'hanging' around," he says with a sly grin.
Boruto rolls his eyes. "You're always so cryptic."
Sasuke chuckles. "Well, you could say I'm taking a break from all the chaos. It's nice to just... relax."
Boruto nods. "I guess so." He pauses for a moment, then asks, "Can I join you?"
Sasuke smiles. "Of course."
Boruto sits down on the branch next to Sasuke. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "This is actually pretty nice," he admits.
Sasuke pats Boruto on the shoulder. "I told you so."
The two boys sit in silence for a while, enjoying the tranquility of the moment. Boruto breaks the silence first.
"Sasuke," he says, "thanks for being my friend."
Sasuke looks at Boruto, surprised. "What for?"
"For always being there for me, even when I don't deserve it," Boruto says. "And for always being honest with me, even when it's hard."
Sasuke smiles. "You're welcome, Boruto."
The two boys continue to sit in silence, their friendship a comforting presence in the midst of a turbulent world.

My theory is that the Otsusuki started out as some form of a 10 tails. One of them happened to eat something along the lines of a divine fruit, which gave them consciousness & evolved their power. I always thought it strange that the Otsusuki & 10 Tails shared Dojutsu as a power. Makes it seem as if they're genetically linked. I feel Code's tinkering gave them an early consciousness once they had acquired human DNA. Their goal will be to create a Divine Tree & reenact what created the Otsusuki to begin with, therefore making them something like an evolved version of an Otsusuki.
Sounds a bit ridiculous, but considering how little we know about the Otsusuki, it'd be a good way to introduce their origin while creating a threat that's even above the power of someone with Otsusuki DNA & Power such as Boruto.

I'm 100% with you on this, as my theory connects with yours. I believe the 10 tails is in control and connected to the tree, claw grimes and avatars. Why wouldn't the 10 tails be able to do what someone with the rinnegan can do, as seen with Pain and his "avatars"
This has been my sleeper theory I just wanted to see I little more proof before I said anything but yes this how I see the story playing out. “Age Of Shinobi is Over”? Eventually Shibai is going to make an entrance into the story & either help or go against boruto. It only really makes sense.
I agree, however the dojutsu is a weak link as they feed some of an otsotsuki to a divine tree which is probably what links them, however straight from seed to tree with no otsotsuki is very interesting, because if something else ate the fruit or the tree kept the power and absorbed some other life perhaps that being was the first otsotsuki?

The Shinju are like upgraded Zetsu! White Zetsu (the Akatsuki one) ate people after killing them if Zetsu grew from the Gedo Statue the body of the Ten Tails you could call them a prototype Shinju in a way or at least similar.

I think it's also possible that the jigen shinju or main shinju is the main ten tails body it evolved and became the shinju we saw floating above the area it was pinned at. Also we all noticed that shinju displayed something similar to the rinnegan on its chest. Now you can say the others could have it on there chest we just didn't see it. But you also have to say showing that marking on the one shinju depicted to be the "main" can't be just a coincidence.
That isn’t the main Shinju. Sasuke is the main Sinju. The floating Shinju just been around longer and developed more of her personality. Once the Sasuke Shinju develops and learns, it will be the leader.
I think everyone is looking at this incorrectly and that the ten tails itself split into four different entities and those were the shinju. I say this because
1) the chakra rods are still pinned to the ground. If it was abducted then someone must have had to use space time ninjutsu which I don't think could have happened that quickly
2) The claw grimes that bite the people themselves turn into a tree. I think the claw grimes work as an extension and ten tails is the hive mind. When the bite someone, the ten tails is able to access their chakra and personality and hence ten tails split into four people and became shinju.
That’s what I was thinking too. The ten tails gained sentience and developed into 4 unique beings. There’s no way someone abducted it that quickly without boruto, Koji, and code noticing.
I see the logic, but there’s only a few people with dedicated space-time ninjutsu and one of them is very clearly present as one of the Shinju, Sasuke.
I was under the same impression, especially since the claw grimes are actually parts of the ten tails and each time they are created ten tails got smaller.

I mean most of them wanted there freedom at some point, and except Guki and Kurama who bonded with their jinchurikis all of them wanted to visit some resective places and live their lives on their own after the Kaguya arc.
Ohtsutsukification affects DNA and enables new abilities that use chakra, but I'm not sure if it alters chakra. I'd venture to guess all the chakra sharing was between 10T and Jigen, Isshiki being mostly down for the count inside the ear. I'd LOVE to learn more about human techniques monks like Jigen practiced before Kaguya's arrival and the discipline of ninshu. That's the kind of thing I wish the anime did when not adapting the manga rather than the majority of filler that takes itself too seriously.
Well it was suppose to be about that until the international intelligence community approached the creator of Naruto and forced him to add an alien threat to the anime. Trust me that's how it happened.

I think it's the 10 tails gaining sentience. I bet the 10 tails has a connection to the claw grimes and the trees they create. The 10 tens tails then soaked up the personalities to create avatars out of the claw grimes, which came with their intelligence. Think of 6 paths of pain. Same concept. When the Mohawk avatar is saying he doesn't want to eat Boruto, that's the ten tails saying he doesn't want to turn into a tree.

Y'know, I'm starting to suspect that the Otsutsuki Clan _originated_ from a group of ancient Shinju that figured out how to evolve _without_ turning into a God Tree. Consider, these Shinju have _a lot_ in common with pure-blood Otsutsuki already: They can freely absorb Chakra from other beings, including each other; they have the same creepy white complexion; they all are born with _at least_ one powerful Doujutsu; and they all evolve in some way when they consume enough Chakra.
In fact, if my suspicion is correct, that means we have an entire evolutionary chain: White Zetsu --> Claw Grime --> Shinju --> Otsutsuki
the only problem with that is that it would place so much importance in Code's claw marks. He was the one who added the enhancement to create the claw grimes in the first place. Shit would be kinda weird if the history of otsutsuki was started by claw marks.

@anthonylamonica8301 still even if it is a thing as he said it places way too much importance in code as he is the only one we know of to have that ability. Even with time travel it's way too big of a stretch
@anthonylamonica8301 we'd also have to assume a lot of other things such as the shinju and/or code knowing about the time traveling turtle considering they would have to go back in time to before the main otsutsuki were around to "create them". Another issue is if that was the case then wouldn't isshiki know about that being the case since he's one of the older ones. Unless like only Shibai knows about that evolutionary chain. Like it's a fun theory but to me it has way too many issues that would come out of it.

There’s no way kawaki would team up with the shinju. They’re literally trying to devour either him or boruto eventually. It makes more sense for him to team up with boruto.
@@gammafrost That's true. But I said the Ten-Tails, not Shinju. There's an entire species of Ten-Tails Seedlings that the Otsutsuki use and so the theory is that Kawaki might see that this Ten-Tails' thirst was overwhelmed by curiosity and try to turn the others against the Otsutsuki as a species.

@@gammafrost Kawaki hasn't exactly proven to be someone who makes good decisions. At this point the more stupid and irrational something is, the more likely I think it is for Kawaki to do just that. If he can find a way to control shinjus and sic them on Boruto, he will do so, even if that ended up burning down everything around him. None of the consequences of his actions will directly harm Naruto, so he won't care

Shinju sees Ten Tails as one parent, but we know who exactly is another figure for the Shinju within the Uzumaki family.
One that was already Otsutsuki at first hand. One that holds Hagoromo’s, Hamura’s and even Toneri Otsutsuki’s chakra.
How exactly did Boruto communicate with Toneri after defeating Momoshiki? The same way how Naruto and Sasuke got their Yin and Yang chakra.

Wondering if the Shinju formed because of Sasuke being trapped in the divine tree since his reincarnation of Indra’s chakra. Curious what would happen if they got Naruto as well with his Ashura chakra. Technically with both Naruto and Sasukes reincarnated chakra they’d have 50 percent of otsutsuki within them, not enough to become a divine tree but enough to essentially have someone with chakra similar to the sage of six paths.

I have a feeling the fact that the Shinju inherit the personality of the it's host is actually going to backfire. Who's to say they won't also inherit parts of the host's memories? Because unlike Pain's six paths, the host bodies are alive. Making me think at some point they might be able to fight back. It would also connect back to Boruto, who is fighting Momoshiki's will. It would be wild if Sasuke Shinju clone actually comes back under his control, it wouldn't be the first time he's fought another consciousness in his body (orochimaru). Also, maybe the fact he already had a rinnegan before might give him an advantage.

I'm wondering if these claw grimes that are senju are creating a clan of strong senju, thus using the splitting of a claw grime to the advantage of the creation of the clan, where they stole the ten tails in order to precisely place a claw grime to where they want to create a new senju. I almost wonder if it's possible for them to trap a claw grime and release it after beating a strong opponent.
Nick Koji stole the scroll for FTG when he invaded the Leaf Village. kakashi caught him in a room that had books or scrolls in it but it was never said what he came for. That could explain how he disappeared from his fight with Jigen That is probably how he was able to teach boruto just what i think.
You know what I wanna know? If Sasuke being sealed served a purpose, is Naruto being sealed away also going to serve a purpose other than Kawaki ‘protecting’ him.
I think it's interesting that the Shinju's "hair" and cloaks/clothes look like giant versions of Code's claw marks. Black areas with white rivets along the general shapes. What do y'all think? Is it just a design choice, coincidence, or could it mean something more?

This development in the divine tree might lead to the reintroduction to black jetsu as shinju is seeking knowledge and also death of kaguya...which is sealed in the alternate dimension
I think it’s very possible Shinju learn that Code couldn’t turn them into a Divine Tree due to not being a suitable vessel for Isshiki, but having the White Kara would allow one to become a New Otsutsuki, or Shibai.

my main question is, a claw grime bites someone and forms a tree right? Where is the physical body of the Shinjuu coming from? Is it split from the ten tails similar to a claw grime or just forms from the tree that the claw grime created?

I think that the shinju are extensions of the ten tails. I think destroying the emaciated ten tails might have the effect of destroying the shinju, which is why they probably moved the main body using code’s claw marks (remember they can use claw marks independently of code). I think having an ego made them smarter on how to survive. Boruto probably figured that the easiest way to defeat the shinju would be to destroy the main body of the ten tails, which is why he went after it.
This just made me think of the ototsuki origins. Like a God tree turned into them then gained higher sentiments creating the now Ototsuki. Given the ototsuki whole goal is just consuming power, this isn't far off.

I believe the shinju with Jigen’s appearance is the Ten Tails main body given form such as the other three and that’s why the ten tails’ main body just “disappeared” in this chapter.
I believe the sarada prequel story with the "SHIN" clones is such a big teaser as to what's coming with the Shinju

I believe when boruto used flying raijin he moved one or some of these rods unless the tentails sentients moved them because the ten tails chakra is so high its practically limitless u can't measure it's chakra it's freaking eye is a 6 tamoe renesharingan and before tobirama put the dieti gates it let out smaller sentients of it's self to protect the main body
