@@bigred1619 but that completely misses the point of the character, vyse is a sentinel and not a controller. It makes less sense for her to be able to place her ult field away from her, as her archetype is meant to keep space rather than take it. It might be annoying to take site with it, but that's... kind of the point.
I think with a full offseason to cook, teams will find a way to make good use of Vyse. I even think conceptually, how XLG were using Vyse on this map was right. Teams quite often try to shoe horn certain agents into comps and swap the wrong agent out but I like the idea of using the Vyse to do what teams were trying to do on attack side with Deadlock, while still giving you that extra piece of soft info and assistance in a fight that you can get from Kayo. I just don't think XLG were ready for the pace that ZY had with their comp, which is something you only learn how to handle with experience.
Idk, I’m sure they will find some niche use for her, but in terms of sentinels right now, she’s not really needed, I think if cypher gets a nerf, and deadlock gets forgotten because of meta changes she will pop off in her current state. (I don’t think he needs one, but he has been meta for so damm long and I really want to see a change happen) But that being said, all the “rush denial, or delay” sentinels do the job way better, I personally think she needs a pretty sizable buff before she gets a lot of use. Personally I’d make her flash invisible, and once it’s used it’s visible until it’s ready to be used again, and her ult should maybe last a bit longer. She’s very similar to sage, but with a worse slow because it’s not instant and can be destroyed, and the wall, that does not have as much flexibility as sage. If you ask me, there we already had 2 options for that type of sentinel, we did not need a third, that has the same kit but worse than the others
It's practically a tradition at this point that every time they say the new agent was bad, whether true or not, in the first competitive match it's a sign that it's going to be exploited until it's dry by VCT teams, like Deadlock and Gekko now lol.
but both deadlock and gekko required much help to become relevant, deadlock required direct buffs and gekko required the nerfing of dominant initiators
I'ved tried vyse for a couple dozens games now and i think it would be nice to have a confirmation voice line of how many people caught in it just like kj and fade
I only see vyse viable as a utility heavy comp and make her molly as info in attack but the thing is you see enemy lineup in pro play and being a vyse centric lineup it will be obvious in the first picks
the problem is ... the wall does nothimg a cyper trip doesn't do, and the razorvine does nothing a kj molly doesn't do, leaving her with only her flash being "good"...
her alt should apply a few seconds faster and idk if it would be too powerful but have the vines lock the players in place from running out of it for like 1 second as their gun gets vined.
To be honest, I'm kind of glad she didn't start off busted cause if she did that would be an inherent problem. This is actually very promising for improving compared to say like Deadlock/Gekko when they came out also unironically, why does this show Harbor's insane potential cause I feel he made it harder for them than intended lol
i dont think vyse ult will ever be that strong in its current state considering the power of sidearms not to mention the limited range of vyse ult means that anyone who gets hit by it will probably be in the range where their sidearm can find a lot of value. this is a game where the free sidearm you always have on you can 2-tap from medium range and one-tap point-blank. vyse ult wont disable an op or outlaw or even a vandal holding a long angle, it's basically just gonna be used for site exec or post plant, which is almost always gonna be a super close range engagement anyway
She isn't very strong. Idk what you expect. Her wall is worse than sage, slow is worse than viper, ult worse than KJ. If anyone picks her up in any official game of riot, they should be investigated for match fixing
@thegoblinwholaughs1137 She is pretty strong, her util negates the fast flood retake meta which is so popular right now.
