Maybe I’m alone here, but I’m not seeing what’s so strange about this? The highest level of any rumble feature and speaker on these types of devices should always be too strong, or too loud. That’s why they give you the ability to adjust the strength and volume level. I’d rather it be too strong at the max level, than having it be too weak/quiet at the highest level. Gives you room to turn it up or down. 🤷♂️
Metalpug79 well, if at the highest range the rumble is fine at the low end and too strong at the high end, it means you’ll need to turn it down so it’s not too strong... and then that means the low end is weak instead of fine. They should make it so it’s fine on both ends. But maybe it is, I mean it’s all subjective. What might be too strong to one person might be what’s expected to another person. :)
Pigumon Pigumon you want the low end to be weak, and the high end strong. The sweet spot should always be in the middle of a dial, or something close to it. And then you adjust up or down to your preference. Ideally, the bottom of the dial should be “off” for both rumble and volume levels, while the top of the dial should be too strong and too loud.
I have the black version of the regular Switch but I’d much rather have a a regular Switch or I guess Hybrid Switch with that Gray color scheme cuz the white/creme buttons look so clean
I agreed, I'd rather have that built into a grip case, along with a passthrough USB C port for charging both the case, and Switch Lite then this goofy fake rumble.

Given the Switch's architecture, they could easily implement rumble over bluetooth and/or usb-c, thus allowing third party manufacturers to develop peripherals that properly enhance the consoles. But then again, it's Nintendo, can't expect much from them in this regard.
I mean if you pair a Pro controller or regular joycons you can get rumble that way. I don't see the point in the Switch Lite at all myself though, not when the regular Switch exists. It would be cool to see you try to solder the hd rumble motor to a speaker or in the switch light or maybe just replace the motors in the accessory with hd rumble motors
I got one of these. The Grip works well, and the speaker is decent although disappointing it's only on one side. As for the rumble, it's about what you'd expect. In game with loud music, like Megaman X, it constantly rumbles. But in games with a music that takes more of a backseat and has clear sounds for it's actions, it actually works pretty decently. I don't use the rumble or speaker that often, but as a 20$ grip it's a neat feature to have. The speaker on the grip is notably a bit louder than the normal sw, so it can be helpful in loud environments... but why not just wear earbuds at that point lol.
I suppose this would be nice to essentially enable rumble effects for games that didn't have them initially. Some games just straight up do not use the rumble. But with this, you can have a workaround.
yeah he probably should have but as someone who creates videos myself I would’ve just titled it Nintendo Switch Accessory also in order to get more views lol
Is difficult to say because is based on the sounds, and not the real rumble effect from the game. So it reacts to some sounds to emit the feedback, so if that fishing doesn't makes a sound louder to be used by this rumble, maybe there will be no force feedback.
Doesn't the controller stop the buttons from working? I only have the standard switch but the buttons and sticks don't work when the pro controller is paired.
I really don't understand this accessory either. Personally, I'd say if you REALLY want to feel rumble in your Switch controllers, just get the original Switch system. I would say get JoyCons for the Switch Lite, but honestly not many games really need them for certain situations aside from a few.
Switch lite has become the main thing I play on and I don't care about the rumble or lack of one. I did have to get a protection case to go over it, not for protection but to make gripping the too slim for my hands switch lite more comfortable to hold for a long time. I wonder if that thing makes it hot, like my protection case does? It's the main drawback, not a big issue though, only for very long game play or if it's a hot day and the AC isn't on.
Does the Switch Lite support hooking up the Pro Controller/JoyCons? If it does, then I don't see why this thing needs the audio jack to determine when it should rumble, when it can just use the games' signal...
This could be easily updated if they have software support for it. They could just analyze game audio and design vibration patterns to each of those games. But that can be an expensive operation.
BUCK BUMBLE RUMBLE... lol I think I had an accessory like this for my GBA and it was purple, used the same rumble technique of plugging into the headphone jack.

You would be better off with a bluetooth adapter, and bluetooth speaker, or bluetooth headphones/earbuds, and using a normal grip case that can fit in a carry pouch without taking it off.
the games would have to be programmed for that to work, or get an updated patch, because if did it at current you would need to fool the system into thinking it's a wired controller, and you can't do both the Switch Lite built in controls, and an external controller for P1 at the same time. It's a good thought though. Nintendo really should have just added the cheapest basic rumble motors they could to the Switch Lite, along with Bluetooth 4.1, and it would have solved many problems.
