As always, this video too is precise and articulate in its presentation and so useful in its content ... many thanks, USB ! I am a relatively new gardener, and having honed my skills a little bit, decided to add crotons to my terrace garden. After having picked up a bunch of them and repotting them, I ran into trouble, but naturally !! So who do I turn to, except my favourite Gardening Master, Mr USB 😊 All issues solved ... thank you Sir😁
I live in Thane, Mumbai, plz guide me sir, Will it survive properly in direct sunlight of 2-3 hrs daily in winter seasons... Bz as it is indoor plant, do v need to keep it inside without direct sunlight?
I live in Bangalore. Bought a croton recently. It was doing well and the leaves grew, but I noticed the top 3 leaves drooping. I watered the plant and they looked better, but after 2 days they have drooped again. The soil is still damp. Not sure what's going on with my plant. 😒
I left my crotons under direct sunlight outside (its not even that hot yet only 23 celsius )and its leaves started t droop quiet dramatically. This happened to both my croton plants btw. i want to acclimate them since i was planning to make them outdoor plants and leave them in my balcony for the summer but now i'm not sure they gonna survive the Greek summer . If they can't even handle 23 c lol how they gonna survive when the temperature reaches 30 c and over My balcony is southwest facing i can't find plants that can live on it , the summer here obliterates them :(
I really want to keep in a certain corner of a room but that does not receive any sunlight 🙁 Can I keep my plant in the morning sun for 2-3 hours and put it in the spot I mentioned?
I live in the Caribbean and love tropical plants but crotons are my favorite, they have such vibrant colors
Wow love the Caribbean
@@Urbanscapegardening yup, Barbados, where we don't have to bother about changing seasons
Tropical Zen
101candlelight me too! Isn’t it funny to hear how others pronounce it? They say it like ‘crouton’ ^_^

Awww so sweet Anila 😍
I enjoy watching your video. I had a croton and I think I water it too much. So all the leaves fell out. You have a wonderful and blessed day.
Thanks. You have a nice day too

Yes it prefers indirect sun
Awesome, informative and useful content, thank you xx
Thanks 😊
Do the new leaves always start out green and yellow and then change over time to darker green and oranges?
Yes most likely
Some varieties do not change color.
Hubby brought me a wonderful croton, today. I'll make sure not to over water 😅
Yes please 😊
Is this plant survive in 5 to 6 hours full sunlight ?
It can but the leaves will be stressed and burnt
Any clues of why my Crotons that have been planted leaves droop, discolor into a whitish color? Live in the Southern California area. Thanx
Is it being attacked by pests? If it under stress it can do this
@@Urbanscapegardening my only guess is the heat. It has been between 95 degrees to 105 degrees
@@Mad-i134 yes very likely. They tend to bleach under intense heat
Mine was drooping and I watered it , 3 hrs later it perked up again :)

This likes shade and less watering and water only when the soil dries

Ofcourse
