The King Hip-Hop of the 1980s.
When Hip-Hop was all about having a fun time and all about getting along with everyone lol 1979-1986
Mind you Gangsta Rap was born in 1985/1986 and there was swear words. But by 1987 Hip-Hop became controversial for the very first time with N.W.A and Ice T.
Still hip-Hop was amazing after that. Until either 2007 or 2011.

this video/song proves why Kurtis Blow is the "Rick Flair" of hip hop muisc. Kurtis called out all them female dissing rappers (even LL Cool J who worshipped the ground Kurtis Blow walked on and Just Ice (Justice) who was a lyrical creative beast!). that didn't stop female rapper Roxanne Shante (my favorite emcee) from dissing Kurtis Blow. These were great times in our music and will never be repeated~ Ever!!!

Saw Trouble Funk at Bogarts in Long Beach CA around 1986...talked to the band,,,Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers was there and since I was in a band I kinda knew him too. I remember we both were into "Testify" by The Parliaments at the time..it was new for us white kids then now its a well deserved classic.
