These were great times in our music and will never be repeated~ Ever!!!

Saw Trouble Funk at Bogarts in Long Beach CA around 1986...talked to the band,,,Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers was there and since I was in a band I kinda knew him too. I remember we both were into "Testify" by The Parliaments at the time..it was new for us white kids then now its a well deserved classic. The T Funk guys signed my jacket...it definitely did not suck

I remember going to the mall ( Annapolis mall in Annapolis Md.) and they had this huge video screen in the one of the arcade rooms ( there were two arcades) and they would blast this song. We loved it because it had that Go Go feel and made us feel like we were old enough to hang out lol Much Respect!!!!

***** man SO wrong. that's not what rap originally was. kurtis blow, sugarhill gang, grandmaster flash, and kool moe dee were guys that performed real ORIGINAL hip hop. run dmc is not miles off, but it's not even comparable. if you want to get into the debate of the so called "evolution" of rap music, public enemy is the absolute best and run dmc is not even comparable.
