Hey guys, a few people have questioned why I have ancient coin here instead of relic. Varus said in champ select that he wanted to play passive, and they have Janna, so the extra 75 hp from relic isn't necessary to keep me alive in lane. The second was to help our team (relying on rengar to engage) to get into or out of fights.
I am surprised that people reacted that fast. From my solo Q experience, do not expected a counter gank but they will trade for a free tower (While the opponent get our death, dragon and may be a tower.)

I really hope that you dont start coin. its a reaon to go afk in ranked game for me if i see a supp with coin start. Unless you are soraka... coin doesnt have enough stats for the lane. relic on thresh is way better. even ruby cristal start.
It makes initiating from a support like Thresh alot easier as well. Depending on who you're laning with, not everyone is comfortable using relic shield to last hit with especially on a ranged support. I don't see what's so "bad" about it. Try laning with a spellthief's thresh.
You are right but you dont want to initiate if you are far behind because the other botlane roflstomped you. Maybe it works in gold or platin. but ones u get a higher elo people will punish u for this yolostuff first item.
BlazelordTuto Thats the reason why you dont see a coin relic in the lcs. You will fall behind with coin. So you dont want to engage. So coin/shureylias isnt even worth. In lowelo you can play full ad garen and stomp. But does it mean its right? -hell no. not everything that works for u ... should work.
