Hardly a new concept. Back in 1979 the grandchildren of Fred Astaire were big fans of the original BSG. They told him being on that show was their standard of being a big star, so he contacted the producers, said he'd like to be on the show, and a couple episodes later he was Starbuck's father (except Starbuck didn't find out).
I low-key wanted Aubrey plaza to be number one. Also C. Thomas Howell as “The Reaper” was an extraordinary performance, can’t believe he didn’t get a mention. More criminal minds content please 🤗
YES!!!!! How C. Thomas Howell was left off this list is mind blowing. Not only was he on multiple episodes, but he killed Hotchner's ex. Also, James Van Der Beek should have been #1. Him and Tim Curry both played their characters to perfection.

Also Jackson Rathbone, Michelle Trachtenberg, Bug Hall, Jamie Kennedy, Robin Lively (she was on the same episode as Wil Wheaton) and Mackenzie Phillips to name a few. Not to mention Jane Lynch as Reid's mom in several episodes. Also, Ed Asner (R.I.P) appeared in an episode as Hotch's former father-in-law. He definitely should've gotten a mention.

He played Ben Tennyson in Ben 10: Alien Force Matthew Lillard in The Apprentice. He played Shaggy Rogers in the live-action Scooby Doo films and is the current voice of him today.
Really Amber Heard who is still after Johnny Depp’s money gets on your list but C. Thomas Howell The Reaper isn’t even mentioned! Mojo you really need to get your act together most of your posts are crap.
90% of actors on Criminal minds were also on Ghost Whisperer! I spent the whole time recognising people and googling what they had been in. Most of the time it was Ghost Whisperer. Then Melinda herself appeared and then Andrea !
Brad Dourif who voiced Chucky plays an unsub in 8x10 and the episode where Robert Englund was in, the unsub in that episode was in the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Kyle Gallner was his name.
If you forgot anything with this series then you are not a fan, I cried like a baby when it was announced that it was finishing this is hands down my favourite EVER TV show from America. It had it all and the cast including the guest stars where on top form. Seeing Hamil play a very bad guy was awesome, but the story line with Keith Carradine in was absolutely phenomenal. As was the story line of Hotchner and George Foyet splendidly played by C Thomas Howell, Tim Curry played one hell of a unhinged serial killer, I could go on and on and on about this series. It was never the same you always knew each episode would stand up on it's own, the writing team on this show were some of the finest. PLEASE BRING IT BACK.
He was absolutely amazing in that role! And it was so touching the way Spencer tried to save him… It sucks that Jackson Rathbone looked 100 times better as a woman than I ever could, lol! 😂
Plot twist...Wil Wheaton was just killing people who said "shut up Wesley" the most online that year 🤣🤣🤣 Also how do you not mention star trek with wil wheaton 🤣🤣🤣
Am I the only one that's sad to see that Jim Beaver, who played Bobby Singer on Supernatural wasn't on the list?😢 If anything, they should've have had at least a few honorable mentions in this video and should've included him on it.
CSI stars Elisabeth Harnois and Wallace Langham both appeared on Criminal Minds. And several actors on this countdown appeared on CSI, including Amber Stevens West, Gina Torres and Wil Wheaton. So how about a Top 20 Actors Who Appeared on CSI?
My favorite guest appearances were by James Van Der Beek and Evan Peters. I grew up watching Dawson's Creek and James' role as Tobias Hankel was just SO different from Dawson. He was a really devastating unsub because he was a victim in his own right. He was made into the villain through abuse. And Evan Peters' character, Charlie will always get me. Especially when he tells that boy's parents that he saved a little girl.
As for me, Gina Torres is most well known for Zoë Washburne on Firefly. That is why we love her on every other show she has done. And Will Wheaton was famous for Wesley Crusher on Star Trek:Next Gen.
True story: when I was called by the hospital at 9:30pm (2012) to be induced for labor, I was halfway through a CM episode. The nurse asked me if Shemar took his shirt off, which he had, and the nurse said, "so traffic is horrible! Be careful and we'll see you in about 45 minutes or so!" She knew what was up and out of gratitude, I brought her a Wawa coffee as thanks.
Ben Savage playing younger versions of Mandy Patinkin's characters just works. Also it's ironic that he gets to be in the same shows as someone who was in " The Princess Bride" with his brother Fred. I couldn't stand Jason Alexander's or Aubrey Plaza's characters. They bored me and annoyed me.
Omg, THANK YOU! Every time I watch her episode I'm thinking, "where tf do I know her from?!" This video did not help, lol. You did! Thank you for relieving that brain itch, much appreciated! 💐🎁
I loved watching this show for all the big name appearances. I squealed when I saw the teeny tiny Fanning girl, and having Tim Curry and Mark Hamill on was so great!
I always love to see actors that I know from other shows as guests in crime shows. They need so many different extras all the time, there's a great chance to see a lot of them. Like at least 3 main characters from "Shameless" at some point starred in Criminal Minds. 😅
The big one you missed for me was Anton Yelchin, who played a very disturbed college student/serial killer who basically hints to Reid he’s a baddie as a cry for help, but can’t turn himself in. He ends up trying to commit suicide instead of killing the final victim.
You forgot about Don Swayze who is Patrick's brother. He played the bible thumping dad in James Van Beaks episode. Also Jayne Attickson is now on the show Clarice. She plays Kathryn's mother.
Jayne Atkinson looks exactly like Helen Mirren. Also, how could anyone forget her? The way her character is killed off is just heartbreaking. Mark Hamill's character took advantage of alcoholism to not just end her life, but to ultimately destroy her reputation.
I routinely baffle all my friends by seeing a random actor and being like, "oh they were on criminal minds!" Its always followed by them saying something like "how many f***ing people were in that show??"
Evan peters was in the saddest moment of television history ever. "he was alive yesterday?". That line had me bawling for weeks whenever i thought about it
Another actor you forgot to mention was Jim Parrack who's character was a serial killer hunting his victims like animals in the forrest at season 2 along with his brother
@@jasminedreamsasmr2180 Nelson’s Sparrow is disturbing but his and the actor for Rossi always makes more wholesome Also the unsub for him played in Castle as the #2 medical examiner, his sarcasm was on point whenever Castle was around

Great list . Only one objection: How could you mentioned one of the evilest woman in Hollywood,Amber Turd, she's a rather D than B list "actress" and not include Jonathan Frakes or C. Thomas Howell ?🤦
Even worse...they missed Ed Asner who had the most prolific career not anyone on this list by a long shot. More than 400 credits spanning 60+ years. Yet they include Amber Stevens West, who I had to look up because she has done...well...nothing. I have literally never heard her name before. They also missed Jane Lynch who has done more than a number of people on this list combined.
I binge watch criminal minds so much that when I see the actors in other stuff, I’m like hey that person was in that criminal minds episode. Even if I don’t remember their names. I saw Cameron Monaghan in something a couple years ago and I was like “why is this dude making me uncomfortable” then I immediately go “ he played a killer in criminal minds!” 😂 that’s probably the only way I recognize people. Same with Wil Wheaton when I saw him in Big Bang Theory.
Love how they assume we forgot some of these people were in criminal minds when (in my opinion, of course) if they're someone like Tim Curry, Mark Hammil, Evan Peters, Ben Savage etc. you recognize them immediately. Some people like Jayne Atkinson and Aubrey Plaza, I honestly only know who they are because of criminal minds🤷♀️
Fun fact: Wil Wheaton is also Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation and if you look up the movies and TV shows he's been on, it doesn't show that he was on Criminal Minds.
He really did, someone said that a prequel about him, Rossi and Max Ryan and possibly Strauss and how they created the BAU, now I’m not that hot on prequels in general but the show rarely mentions the beginning days and I think it’d be a great opportunity to see that, but only one season would be needed, maybe 2 if ratings are stable, cuz that’s what caused Suspect Behavior and Beyond Borders to get cancelled
If you forgot these then you haven’t really watched CM more than once or 25 times like I have 🤣 All of these are memorable! Bug Hall Gabrielle Carteris Victor Webster Dean Cain Kerr Smith Jackson Rathbone Eric Close Camryn Manheim Sharon Lawerence Paul Johansson Michael Welch Craig Sheffer Just to name a few lol Love love love this show!!!!!!
I've seen several things that Jamie Kennedy starred in. I would instantly recognize him. But Floyd Ferrel? It took me 8 watches and a Google search to figure out.

Barry Pearl played a man in episode Lo-Fi. He played Doody in the 1978 film Grease, and Professor Tinkerputt in Barney and Friends franchise
Yuri Lowenthal played Jake Ellison in the Stranger. He played Ben Tennyson in Ben 10: Alien Force
Matthew Lillard in The Apprentice. He played Shaggy Rogers in the live-action Scooby Doo films and is the current voice of him today.
How about Parenthood?
she was also in Independence Day
@@seanhorace925 Ah, Kim Rhodes. AKA Sheriff Jody Mills in Supernatural.
@@varric another "Supernatural " actor.thinguywasa are definitely Supernatural, suspe t in CM.
Nice one, WatchMojo. Give a spot to Amber “Fake Victim” Heard but leave C. Thomas Howell and Anton Yelchin off? Really?
I'm pissed to know she was Layla. BTW she looks nothing like herself in CM I didn't recognize her at all
Really Amber Heard who is still after Johnny Depp’s money gets on your list but C. Thomas Howell The Reaper isn’t even mentioned! Mojo you really need to get your act together most of your posts are crap.
😂😂😂😂
Another of her roles she was so amaizing i didnt remember her role
They even forgot Zelda "daughter of Robin" Williams.
I loved James Van Der Beek..he played his part wonderfully, so much growth over Dawson Leery.
Criminal Minds is my absolute FAVORITE show! Thanks for the video 😊
90% of actors on Criminal minds were also on Ghost Whisperer! I spent the whole time recognising people and googling what they had been in. Most of the time it was Ghost Whisperer. Then Melinda herself appeared and then Andrea !
Also forgot about the season four appearance of Jackson Rathbone, who played Jasper in Twilight
Brad Dourif who voiced Chucky plays an unsub in 8x10 and the episode where Robert Englund was in, the unsub in that episode was in the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Kyle Gallner was his name.
Kyle Gallner also appeared in one episode and was killed by Hotch after apppearing as Mac’s stepson onCSI NewYork
Juliet landau was also in that one. She’s so great at playing a little nuts. Lol
Elle Fanning was also on episodes of House and Law and Order:SVU.
Brad Douriff, Anton Yelchin, Jackson Rathbone??? I know Rathbone only did Twilight but he did a good job as Adam/Amanda
rathbone was also in Big Stan
This is the first episode that got me hooked
Ben Savage did amazinggggg even nailed Gideon’s facial expressions
Jackson rathbone? Beautiful performance in his episode
He was absolutely amazing in that role! And it was so touching the way Spencer tried to save him…
It sucks that Jackson Rathbone looked 100 times better as a woman than I ever could, lol! 😂
@@susanrobinson910 he totally did! I am still jealous to this day 😂
💯%
It was a riveting watch...
James Van Der Beek’s performance will always be my favorite!
Ikr, I still wonder if he actually did those voices or if they were dubbed
Agreed! He was amazing as the character(s)
Plot twist...Wil Wheaton was just killing people who said "shut up Wesley" the most online that year 🤣🤣🤣
Also how do you not mention star trek with wil wheaton 🤣🤣🤣
He is most well known from star trek. I was shocked they didn't mention that. He was also in Leverage.
Yes! That was the biggest leave out I noticed....
Or Stand By Me. One of his original roles as an actor!
Wil's role as a killer scared me when I first watched it. I'm not used to seeing him play such a creepy character
Am I the only one that's sad to see that Jim Beaver, who played Bobby Singer on Supernatural wasn't on the list?😢 If anything, they should've have had at least a few honorable mentions in this video and should've included him on it.
So many spn actors were on the show it's crazy.
He had the pleasure of being on the Criminal Minds universe twice along with Kim Rhodes, once was season 3 and the other was on Beyond Borders
@@sherlyncarpinteyro8841 yep! There’s two in Ride the Lightning.
I got through to number 2 and expected C. Thomas Howell to be number 1. He was brilliant and played evil in an unforgettable way.
Bold to assume I haven’t watched the series 20x over and remember all of these people
Always thought a spin off show with Ben Savage as the lead showing more how the bau got started.
NOW that would be cool!
Yes! And on CSI Miami too. I loved Horatio Caine!! 😍🥰😂
And one for Bones.
Im currently in the process of bingeing Criminal Minds, in season 11 right now. Such a good show, wish I hadnt slept on it for soooooooooo many years!
I'm so happy you made this list!! I absolutely loved CM, Spencer was my favorite!! 😄😄
Frankie's one line in this video made me cry he's amazing.
Didn't forget any of them 🙂 Also, Gina Torres is best known for Firefly!
Omg, THANK YOU! Every time I watch her episode I'm thinking, "where tf do I know her from?!" This video did not help, lol. You did! Thank you for relieving that brain itch, much appreciated! 💐🎁
@@jmk1413 you're welcome! Sometimes these videos miss obvious stuff and it's annoying lol
I loved watching this show for all the big name appearances. I squealed when I saw the teeny tiny Fanning girl, and having Tim Curry and Mark Hamill on was so great!
If Luke Perry were still alive he would’ve reprise his role as Cyrus in the episode 300
I always love to see actors that I know from other shows as guests in crime shows. They need so many different extras all the time, there's a great chance to see a lot of them. Like at least 3 main characters from "Shameless" at some point starred in Criminal Minds. 😅
I can't believe C. Thomas Howell as the Reaper wasn't mentioned! He was such a great villain
"Top 20 stars you FORGOT...." Key word is "FORGOT". He was one of the most memorable characters in series history.
What about C. Thomas Howell? He killed Hotchner's wife for crying out loud!
We didn't FORGET about that, though. This video is about people that we FORGOT were on Criminal Minds.
The big one you missed for me was Anton Yelchin, who played a very disturbed college student/serial killer who basically hints to Reid he’s a baddie as a cry for help, but can’t turn himself in. He ends up trying to commit suicide instead of killing the final victim.
He wasn't included because most people remember him. This video is about stars that most people FORGOT were on CM.
Frances Fisher as Antonia Slade was incredible in "Devil's Backbone."
You forgot about Don Swayze who is Patrick's brother. He played the bible thumping dad in James Van Beaks episode. Also Jayne Attickson is now on the show Clarice. She plays Kathryn's mother.
Whaaaat!?
Jayne Atkinson looks exactly like Helen Mirren. Also, how could anyone forget her? The way her character is killed off is just heartbreaking. Mark Hamill's character took advantage of alcoholism to not just end her life, but to ultimately destroy her reputation.
My favorite is Mark Hamil, who played The Replicator!!
R U serious... she was Gina Torres was in Firefly... best series ever!!
I routinely baffle all my friends by seeing a random actor and being like, "oh they were on criminal minds!" Its always followed by them saying something like "how many f***ing people were in that show??"
Everyone. Everyone was on this show.
It had over 300 episodes, so a lot! Lol
realising the girl reid crushed on was played by Amber destroys my love for this episode-
Evan peters was in the saddest moment of television history ever. "he was alive yesterday?". That line had me bawling for weeks whenever i thought about it
The woman who played the psychopathic child in The Bad Seed, Patty McCormack, was in an episode in Season 5.
Another actor you forgot to mention was Jim Parrack who's character was a serial killer hunting his victims like animals in the forrest at season 2 along with his brother
Aubrey Plaza is creepy in everything she's in, especially parks and rec (that's why we love her).
Don't forget Dean Norris
In episode 5.20 he was a detective with FL. Police
Can we get a part 2 and 3 for all the star’s that weren’t on the list????
And are bigger stars than at least 10 of the people who WERE on this list? LoL
Mosley lane was a messed up episode!!!!
My fav was Robert Knepper! Hes such an amazing actor. I always get goosebumps from his acting!
Love how they didn't even mention that Tim Curry also played Pennywise
they didn’t even mention that Ben savage was on boy meets world, and said he was a “new actor”
@@jasminedreamsasmr2180 Nelson’s Sparrow is disturbing but his and the actor for Rossi always makes more wholesome
Also the unsub for him played in Castle as the #2 medical examiner, his sarcasm was on point whenever Castle was around
Great.I like Evan Peters and Cameron Monaghan ,I love Tim Curry's,and Elle Fanning's performances.too. I didn't know Jason Alexander was on it.:-O:-) RIP,Luke Perry.:-O:-( :-O:-DMark Hamill is great and kind + Very talented.:-D I am so happy that Aaron Paul is on Criminal Minds.
Jayne Atkinson was fab in Criminal Minds! She was great in 24 & House of Cards as well.
Love Criminal Minds!!
There were so many stars on Criminal Minds it’ll be difficult to name them all
Whatever Evan Peters do is always the best. ❤️
Great list . Only one objection:
How could you mentioned one of the evilest woman in Hollywood,Amber Turd, she's a rather D than B list "actress" and not include Jonathan Frakes or C.
@@carr0760who does Jane Lynch played in the show?
Just an FYI, I’ve never and will never forget Aubrey Plaza was on Criminal Minds.
Evan Peters was also on Never Back Down too my favorite of his roles
I'm a bit surprised that you didn't include Jonathan Frakes.
Oh that episode creeped me out and broke my heart at the same time
Suzanne Rust Me too! Can never look at Will Ryker the same way again!
That episode is great
Fun fact: Wil Wheaton is also Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation and if you look up the movies and TV shows he's been on, it doesn't show that he was on Criminal Minds.
You forgot Michelle Trachtenberg, Esai Morales and C. Thomas Howell
Ben Savage played his role as a young version of Jason in criminal minds and I think he did a fantastic job in my opinion
Tim curry kills any role he's in
If you forgot these then you haven’t really watched CM more than once or 25 times like I have 🤣
All of these are memorable!
Bug Hall
Gabrielle Carteris
Victor Webster
Dean Cain
Kerr Smith
Jackson Rathbone
Eric Close
Camryn Manheim
Sharon Lawerence
Paul Johansson
Michael Welch
Craig Sheffer
Just to name a few lol
Love love love this show!!!!!!
In my opinion, my favorite two guest stars on Criminal Minds was Frankie Muniz and James Van Der Beak.
How do you miss Jamie Kennedy in "Lucky?"
Seriously? Dude was unrecognizable.
I've seen several things that Jamie Kennedy starred in. I would instantly recognize him. But Floyd Ferrel? It took me 8 watches and a Google search to figure out.
@@EmberRain666 told my better half about it and her jaw dropped. She immediately loaded up the episode haha. Stunning stuff.
@@EmberRain666 especially when Son of the Mask was not long before this and Ghost Whisperer not long after
My mom about lost her mind when she realized that was Randy lol- she knew Matthew Lilliard immediately though haha.
Tim Curry - nothing else needs to be said.
I hate that episode it's so creepy.
These were all great but one of my favorite episodes is called "The Big Wheel" with Alex O'loughlin. He was amazing in this episode!
Can't forget Alex O'Loughlin in season 4. Actually made the audience feel for the unsub.
That one always throws me, because CM and Hawaii Five-0 are my comfort shows, so seeing Steve McGarrett in CM is weird 🤣
What episode ?
@@melarie205 The Big Wheel. He plays Vincent, the unsub with severe OCD who killed the blind kid's mom and then took the kid to the carnival.
@@EmberRain666 thanks you
I will always remember Gina Torres as the second in command of the "Serenity" in "Firefly" !!!
