Stern wouldn't take him back. He cut ties after Artie's meltdowns and suicide attempt. Publicly, he claimed that it was for Artie's benefit, but I also think the whole thing freaked him out.

Artie's spontaneity is the best that I have ever heard/saw/witnessed. I was excited when DirecTV announced that Artie and Nick DiPaolo were going to have a show together but was sadly disappointed a short time after the show began airing
It became obvious pretty quick that both Nick and Artie were being subdued by DirecTV and some, if not all of the sponsors. I was excited upon the announcement by DTV that this show was coming in the very near future because my first thought was that the show was on satellite TV and Nick and Artie was going to "Gas shit up and burn it down!" and the only thing that "Burned Down" was the show itself. I was also excited about Artie and Anthony Cumia having a show which turned out to be a good show .... well the A&A show was good on the days that Artie came in and actually did the show.
When Artie came in and did the show while somewhat sober and Artie was "In the groove" I would laugh my ass off but on the days that Artie was really fucked up and struggled to stay awake the show wasn't so great.
What would anger me about Artie was when he made up excuses for being either late to the show or just not showing up at all, sometimes calling and letting Anthony know that he wasn't coming in at all and sometimes not calling anyone to let Anthony know that he wasn't coming in orrr in short the lack of accountability/personal responsibility and ALWAYS blaming other people or other things for his problems
I guess those qualities lack in all drug addicts but damn it, Artie only worked two hours a day and got paid extremely well for those two hours!
I hope Artie stays straight and sober for the rest of his life but to be honest it will be tough for him and I do have Artie in a celebrity death pool that can be changed if you pay another "Entry Fee" but this "Reenter" option is limited to five changes or five "Reentries" per year

This is going to sound like a backhanded compliment, but it's not meant to be. Arties stand up is awful, but I've never laughed harder than when hearing him on stern. That was the perfect "vehicle" for him, and the stern show never recovered after he left. In fact, stern is the worst part of his own show. I started listening because of Artie, and got Sirius to continue hearing him. That says a lot about how great he really was.

Meh, maybe it was exciting for Artie being rich and having a steady high-dollar dealer most of the time. But for an average person, it's not so glamorous. I was living the high life in Laguna Beach and doing coke on the weekends and when I had to "get it", it became less and less "fun" every time. Most SoCal/OC coke comes from the same dealers who slang meth, heroin and rave drugs.
So that brings a lot of extra BS and annoyance. One time I had to even fight a guy who blindsided me, because he thought I was there to "steal" his dealer's last dose of heroin. I got the guy to the ground without hitting him, walked out of the sh|thole apartment hallway and swore off coke for good. Just too many losers and scumbags you have to interface with getting drugs like that and, I knew that after a year or more of doing that shit, I might even become one of them.

Bottom line for all: It took a little research for me to input the correct words on IMDB to come up with the original movie "The Gambler " with James Caan. That is how bad the shitty search engine works on IMDB OWNED BY Amazon. Good luck going forward with these programmed websites. You will need a little info and some smarts to find the truth on any " anti-social media ". When have you last purchased recreational alcohol? Never ! But you dig it because it is medicinal. I like to smoke my drink, recreational smoke drink. Marijuana is just a criminal. I like cannabis better. IT has a nice flavor.

Cannabis is the correct term for the beautiful medicinal and recreational plant I smoke to help with the pains of H1N1 Vaccine Damage that's crippled me and caused me tremendous chronic pain and suffering coupled with Fibromyalgia which has it's own challenges but me using Cannabis helps and I got clean from all the opiate pain pills I was prescribed and addicted too and I told my recovery doctor and councillor that no matter what I was not going to stop using Cannabis. They were fine with it and I'm 424 days clean today from Opiate pain pills. I wouldn't have succeeded without a lot of things such as Suboxone which is my addiction medicine and I'm not misusing or abusing the Suboxone either but if it wasn't for the cannabis I wouldn't have made it over a year and change clean now. Many people may say using Suboxone is like trading addictions but I don't see it that way. It's helping me and if it wasn't I would've told my recovery doctor.
