You are entirely correct. $400 is preferable. You must make a significant investment in your carrier. $40 will undoubtedly equal $400. You have a better vocal than the rough-raw in this video. Kudos!
its hilareous how many times over the decades I have seen a young kid do a comparison like this. I have compared all those microphones.. best way to do it is to guarantee you have done no post processing and similar optimal gain for each, tell the audience which pre-amp was used. a cheap preamp certainly won't distinguish a high end mic as well as a good one. but then you'd want to record a full drum set with each microphone, a guitar with each mic, but a vocal like this where the audience doesn't even know the original voice tells them nothing.. for all we know the voice frequencies are well within the limitations of each microphone, not enough dynamic diversity in the content. Not enough frequency variation either.
Kind of proves a huge point eh? Who cares how the mic sounds. "Can you track and mix properly" is a far important question than "which mic sounds better"

This compares their sound on a compressed, low bit rate recording (a fraction of the quality of a CD). Were those mics plugged into a D&B PA and you were stood in-front of it, you'd hear a world of difference, particularly in the frequency range top and bottom most probably.

First of all. Very much disagree with the people saying, there is no noticable difference. I know I will find a lot of disagreement on this (if anyone actually finds the time to read it XD) ... but like... the first microfon has so much in your face editing on it, which already proves that it is ... well.... a 4$ microfon doing what you would exect it to do.... To have any chance of saving that you would need a izotope RX which sets you back around 200-600 bucks as you can just hear the noise come in as the gate opens. (Overall questionable to mix a vocal for a comparision but this has been talked about in a comment by shoking already so I will not) 40$ honestly could work with that.. noise floor is still a bit high and the sound still is not very refined. 400$ is just a freaking nice mic... Love it. In my personal opinion from between 500-800 bucks you kinda reach that point where price to sound improvement does not really match up anymore HOWEVER when we get to those really high numbers, you are less so paying for sound but for versitility... Multiple polar paterns included low cut and attinuation and a sound that has been refined so much that it will at least fit any voice, which you can not say about most mics around 600 bucks. They might work well with some voices but not so much with others. In this case, the lewitt can switch to a lot of kinds of polar paters has multiple stages of attinuation multple different tube sounds and a dry wet mix for that tube to clean signal all of those being remote controlled, allowing you to get really really close to the signal you have in mind for the mix saving you a lot of time in the editing later on and therefor saving your client a lot of money (in a studio situation, which those kinds of mics are made for.. professional working enviroments) So yeah. If you look at it from a time saved point of view. That extra money will pay of with time. Yeah it is im also a muslim brother
yeah it,s adorable
It's not that small btw, totally average
It would probably treat you right 🥲
exactly and I want one but I don't know where I can buy one..
I loved the mic which you used to record this video from the beginning 😹
You can really hear the sound rejection as they get more expensive. But with good editing, you can make anything sound great.
Him singing😇
Me: did he even switch??!!👁️👄👁️
🧠n't?
🥲🤣
He did but you can’t hear it really good
40 dollar microphone:
*but you didn't have to cut me off-*
😂😂😂

The trick is to allow us to actually hear each mic. If you were my affiliate selling my $4,000 mic, you'd be fired.
me who watched the video without headset:- they all same 😂😂
The 4 dollar mic looks cute tho-
EXACTLY WHY SMALLER IS OK
@@CheeseCheddarBender not small- average 🙃
Actually liked the sound on the $4 one!!
When you realise that it took him $4444 dollars to buy these 4 microphone
so basically what you saying is he paid fourthousandfourhundredandfortyfour for four microphones.
As a music producer i feel like the biggest quality jump is from 4$ to 40$...on a super low budget 4$ one is great too...after some processing it sounds pretty good
I’ve literally recorded vocals from my Mac Pro and just post processed the fuk out of them and it sounded professional. It really just comes down to post processing.
I'm surprised He didn't sing it like "I'm running fo moi loife"
Bri"ish moment
@@KSA-gq7kl yes mait 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
I can just hear mcnasty doing his creed voice 🤣
@@samthomas6132 lmao🤣
You fire bro!!!
It doesn't matter what kind of microphone you have, as long as I listen to it through my phone speaker.
Exactly 😂😂😂
Let's compare all of these mics but completely ignore what I'm supposed to do cause I wanna show off.
Ah yes, finally, someone who think inteligently, like ME
Hahahahahah I literally thought the same thing 😂😂😂😂
You can definentally hear the difference between $4 and $40 😂
definitely*
No you can't bitch 😂

@@YomommasStankPoon why thank you :)
Your voice is good bro that's the reason all mic good 😂😂
For 4 dollars, the microphone did really well. Also, after the 40$ one, you can barely tell the difference
That 4 dollar mic really killing it with that whole "Wendy's Drive Thru" kinda vibe lmao. You're right though, even on studio monitors you can't really hear the difference in those mics. I'd like to hear the difference with a guitar recording as well, even if they aren't really made for that.
For 4$ that’s great
Yea
whats the $4 one called
@@kyleday5026 dont get fooled. He mixed is vocals.
@@kylestones6823 how is that getting fooled? That's the entire point lol
@@kylestones6823 how do u know
And then there's me who can't tell the difference between any of them.
The $40 mic was better than I expected. The whole video was worth watching somebody seriously hold that first mic and sing. 😂
So I guess $40 is good enough
Me on my way to buy the 4$ one.
Me too bro
me too
Where tho
my 5$ earphones:
nice sound. all of them 🗿🗿🗿
The 400, and 4000 dollar ones sounded good, but the cheaper ones, you could hear hissing in the background, processed or not.
